My first time here and it was a very good experience. It is spacious and maintained well. Nice workout room that has everything you need and large pool. A nice alternative to a crowded gym.

Great staff. Clean facility. Excellent drop in child care hours - AM and PM hrs during the weekdays and Saturday AM hours. Solid kids programs - parents night out and swim lessons.

Very good facility, good aerobics studio, resistance training a huge gym, very clean and well tended. Pool is one of the nicest.

Kids love the play place and are really Enjoying the swim team.

This is my favorite Anytime location in the area. It’s almost never crowded to a point where you are waiting on equipment. It’s much cleaner than other locations I’ve been to (which I really really really appreciate). All of the equipment is well taken care of. There’s only a few racks and 1 deadlift platform but, again, it’s not usually crowded so I don’t have problems getting one. I would highly recommend this Anytime location.

We ❤️Anytime Fitness. Equipment is always clean & they have a wide variety of machines and weights. The staff is always friendly, encouraging, and helpful. They have seen me at my worst & encouraged me to push through to my goals. Plus, in off times, I always feel safe! The security there is a big plus for me.

Best gym in town. The owner Loren is a wonderful person and owner of this establishment and personal trainer. The equipment is always clean along with the rest of the space and bathrooms. Everyone is very friendly and the location is very convenient. I’ve been going to this gym for years and will continue to do so.

I absolutely love anytime haygood! I have been a member here for probably over 10 years. Everyone there is so nice, make you feel comfortable, and everyone there will become your gym family. The employees and the owner are so helpful if you have any questions and are just all around amazing. I recommend this gym to anyone!!

It's nice to find a gym that has a nice combination of coaching and motivation. I did 3 workouts here while I was in town. Katie ran a hero workout on Saturday. It was a big class but she gave everyone attention. Another coach came outside to cheer on the end of my run. Kat ran my second workout and kept the entire class motivated. She also recommended some great restaurants. Heather ran my third workout and fixed my HSPUs and gave me some pointers on my double unders. This is a great place to train and I highly recommend stopping by if you're in town.

Chic’s Beach CrossFit offers more than just a place to workout. It offers a supportive community of knowledgeable coaches where all are truly welcome. I also enjoy the mix of FIT and CrossFit classes. I would recommend this gym to both seasoned athletes and beginners. There is definitely something for everyone and the workouts can be easily tailored to your fitness level. It has been a great environment for my teenage son to learn proper technique and develop in to a stronger student athlete. CBCF is great for high school athletes to condition for their sport or to just gain more confidence. Very family friendly!

If you are looking for a CF gym that provides you with training, instruction, motivation but most importantly, a friendly and family vibe, this is the gym for you. I have been a member for 8 years and have been able to learn new skills and better my training. From their FIT class to CF class, there are lots of options of class times. Either provide you with different skills- from high intensity and elevating your endurance, to strength training and gymnastics. You really will become family and make great life long friends who also help you to stay motivated.

I went to the ER because I has the worst pain of my life from my right hip down, left the ER with prescriptions and they did nothing. Still in so much pain i went back the next day they did an x-ray and saw bone on bone in my back from arthritis and that I would have to have surgery to get out of pain. They gave me a pain shot that did nothing as well. Obviously the ER was not going to help with anything to relieve my pain. I could not walk sit or lay down without pain. A couple people mentioned that Morgan Chiropractic might be able to help so I called and made an appointment. I was treated like I was family. They go above and beyond. I've been to a couple good chiropractors in the area but Dr. Morgan knows exactly what needs to be done not only with the back (Chiropractic side) but with the whole body ( gym side) combining them to create a healthy body. I knew it would take time to help me but after going everyday for a week I felt somewhat normal and it looks like i wont have to have surgery! It takes time for the body to heal so I know I have to stick to the chiropractic care and I will definitely be coming here on a regular schedule. They are the best! I encourage you to come get adjusted and see how good you can feel!!

Dr. Morgan has a truly great environment for both receiving chiropractic care as well as overall wellness/fitness in the gym. The chiropractic area is wide open, giving everybody a safe and secure area to be treated, so you don't feel sequestered in a private room like in other doctor offices. His knowledge and expertise is truly impeccable! Dr. Morgan is well-known in the area and is a highly respected chiropractor and fitness trainer. I even witnessed another chiropractor in the area being treated by Dr. Morgan, as you know he's a GREAT doctor when other chiropractors are coming to get treated by Dr. Morgan!!!

After being referred to Dr Morgan, I found him to be not only extremely knowledgeable, but also very thorough. I love the easy going atmosphere & they can always fit me in when I need adjusting. I feel very fortunate to be under his care & would highly recommend him to anyone needing chiropractic services.

TJ Morgan is the BEST chiropractor! He is extremely knowledgeable, gentle, yet effective. He is amazing at easing my back and neck pain. I no longer live in VB but schedule an appointment with him each time I return.

In January 2022 I went to Dr. Morgan with my MRI report for an assesment of the pain in my lower back. "Doc" went to work right away to put me on the path to wellness. I started my treatments in January and quickly started to have less pain and more flexibility. I started using some of the dietery and nutritional suggestions that he made and started working out in the attached Gym and lost 25 pounds very quickly. Now I go for adjustments and workouts every couple of days to keep myself in good condition. Doctor Morgan is very caring and focused on his patients health and wellness. I'm very pleased that "Doc" has helped me to start my path to better health. I have so far avoided the back surgery that I was considering before my visit to Morgan Wellness Center. If you need help getting in better shape or relieving pain then go and see "Doc"

If you live nearby, I highly recommend getting the membership and USING IT. There are many perks for coming here. I came in for the day pass because I live in Las vegas. $10 for non residents or $8 for locals. This place is one of the nicest rec centers I've ever visited. An olympic size pool with lockers (quarters needed), hooks for towels and bags, and locker rooms for changing. There is a gym full of nice equipment. Basketball courts (indoors). A snack room with vending machines. And very nice staff to give information whenever you need help.

This is a very nice recreation center. There is a huge game room with table games like two and four player Air Hockey tables, billiards tables, skeet ball, classics like Pac & Ms. Pac-Man and much more. Ther is also a basketball game similar to those that one might find at a carnival where you try to get the high score for most baskets made. There is not, however a basketball ball court. There are also rooms that can be used for group meetings and the like.

This rec could get some updating. It looks the same as it did back in the 90s. The kids play area is pretty retro too and that's cool but there's not much for younger/little ones to do. No where for them to run/walk if they're not big enough to climb the playset so it can be boring for them. The staff is always friendly though. Also, sorry to say, but it always smells like the bathrooms here but I guess everybody just ignores or is noseblind to that. Generally everything looks clean though and the workers do what they're supposed to. Membership is nice to have depending on your needs/preferences. I have started going to another rec center in the area.

I went in the other day to get a membership for my family. I explained to them that my wife is a traveling medical worker that will be working at a local hospital for three months and we are staying at a local RV park. After the front desk personnel briefly spoke to the manager (which never came out of the office) I was told that we did not qualify for in state membership rates because we did not pay taxes here. Well, here is my problem with that. We pay over $150 a month in VA state tax at our RV park and my wife also pays VA state payroll tax out of every paycheck. We also have to file a VA state income tax return because of this. Not to mention sales tax because we are living and working in the area and spending money daily at local establishements. I understand that the out of state membership rules have to be in place for individuals that are for example seasonal retirees/tourist visiting from out of state, but as a working family we do in fact pay tax and contribute to the state of VA tax base. With all of that being said, maybe this facility and manager in particular need to assess each individuals circumstances before quickly denying them. In the end, all we wanted to do was immerse ourselves in the local activities and continue our path to health and wellness as a family.

I really love this location! A friend told me I needed to check it out and so glad I did. The facility is always so clean and never feels crowded. The staff is very welcoming and friendly- special shout out for Xena (Zena?), who was an absolute day saver. I managed to lose my keys and she patiently went from machine to machine to look carefully around and under them and then in a total show of helpfulness, peeked into a garbage can and unbelievably- found them in it. I'm guessing I accidentally dropped them when I was tossing paper towels. That level of customer service is incredible, and I really appreciate it!

Love the place it’s the only planet fitness near me and I have been going since it opened. My single issue that makes it a 4 star is the fact that the hours do not accommodate for certain schedules as well as other planet fitnesses. I work a late shift and I believe that more 24 hour days at this planet fitness would be appreciated. Other than that I can’t wait for the new machines that planet fitness is releasing like the hack squat and incline Hammer press comes to this location.

I travel for a living. I base my life around these gyms. I've been in them all over the country. From Nashville to Montana, Tempe to Tacoma. VA beach planet fitness is the cleanest and best staffed. Once I lost my phone and could remember my way home so I stopped by PF and they gave me directions. I don't recall her name but she has red hair and many tattoos. Also it's never stupid crowded and if it is people are super Kool. I dig it and I get results.

I recently joined the new Planet Fitness (Redmill) and thus far it has been a great experience. This is a new location that is both clean and uncrowded. The staff have been nice and helpful. My son and I took an upper body class with Carter, who did a great job showing us proper form and technique. ✅ Affordable ✅ Clean ✅ Uncrowded

Staff is helpful friendly knowledgeable. This location is a terrific community of people of all ages and backgrounds who encourage each other. The Manager is always there during business hours and makes sure the facility sparkles. The Fitness Trainer is excellent and knows her stuff. Fun Clean and Professional ❤️.

Very clean and large space to workout, great selection of equipment. First time going here I travel for work and I was impressed on cleanliness in this gym the restroom were just as clean the equipment seems older but in great shape and tons to choose from for an anytime fitness 💪. Would recommend for sure!

I have been a member for years. The gym is always clean, I never have to wait for a machine and it’s open 24 hours. The staff is great and is very attentive. They are always taking suggestions for improvement.

Though the people at Anytime are at various levels of conditioning the one trait they all share is a serious attitude toward working out. No showboats, or gabbers. The sound of the machines and iron dominates. Well kept, and with a definite upscale feel and knowledgeable crew good place to get serious

Beautiful gymnasium! The front desk workers are polite and helpful! The workout equipment is great and this is an overall 5***** gym especially for military, it’s free!

The mens sauna stays at 240 degrees, no matter if you try to adjust the knob outside. Dangerous for an extended stay over 10 minutes. Be careful. Other than that, ots your typical base gym with plenty of space every time I have been.

Always clean, all the equipment you could need, and the staff are super friendly!

Because my daughter has soccer practice on base on Wednesday and Thursday evenings, I started going to the fitness center. I'm there from 1830 until 2000 (closing), There have only been about a dozen patrons there so getting on any of the equipment is never a problem. Staff is friendly and the facility is clean.

The Simon Family Jewish Community Center is a wonderful place to learn and develop yourself. Great staff!

I play kickball here. The space there is large enough for 4 infield size baseball fields. There is a play area open to the kids for use. For members there is a pool and a mini puttputt. Pretty cool place.

Though not a member, they're pool and water playground is great for bringing our young kids and at a very reasonable price! $8 a kid and lots of shade for everyone where it counts.

The JCC was recommended by my PT. Im in a wheelchair and its great. I've only used the lap pool so far. As I go thru surgeries I will use more of the facility. It's clean, quiet and stress free.

"No Commitment" month to month memberships. FREE WEEK passes to any local. You will not find a better value than the JCC and they want you to use their facility. Open everyday except for 3 days out of the year. Get a PT and set your GOALS for FREE. All abilities work out here. From the kids getting ready for sports, college and professional athletes to our seniors. We have the Silver Sneaker membership with great classes that go along. You can reach out to our Wellness & Membership Director on his personal cell phone. You can't find that kind of personal service anywhere. JCC has state of the art equipment that they update and add new pieces annually. No extra up charge. This is a place worth seeing.

We enjoyed our stay. The pool—our kids loved it—had plenty to keep them entertained, and the staff was helpful and kind. We later found out that they had a rubber duck collection for the kids to borrow and play with as long as they returned it afterward, of course. The shower rooms had hot water and plenty of privacy, and the facilities were well-maintained. We will definitely come back.

This was my first time at the rec center, going for the pool. It is so nice!! Definitely more geared towards kids- water slide, water okay ground area both in the pool and outside. Our kids had a blast! There's 3 swim lanes for laps. At least 2 life guards were on duty while we were there for open swim. A day off for kids is $8 and for adults it's $10. Not bad!

Crowded all the time and some of the patrons can be bullies trying to rush you off a machine that you've only been on for five minutes. The gym, specifically the upstairs weight room, is too small for the amount of people that use this gym. Staff is nice, but that's about it.

Worst rec center in va beach due to rude over regulating employees. If you just want to unwind after a long day don’t come here the staff are police officer wanna be’s who forget what “recreation” means…the pool lifeguards are jokes and everyone in charge here is incompetent. Read all the reviews and see how many are about the “staff”…I usually don’t care about stuff like that but the staff here will make you mad enough to want to fight. They obviously haven’t addressed the employee issue because the complaints go back over a year as I can see. Then they give the same generic answer further proving they don’t care just trying to sweep it under the rug. They definitely need new leadership there.

I was shocked that such a nice pool had so few kids in it when I first came here. Now I know why. The pool is NOT kid friendly. Don't bring your small children here.

I had my graduation dinner at the center, and we were able to decorate, have food, and enjoy. The staff was very gracious, making sure you had everything you needed. Thank you, Kempsville Rec, such a beautiful facility.

She has a great attitude and you can tell she really enjoys her members at the gym. She treats everyone with kindness and respect. It is hard to find good people in this world. She is great! It is a Great value to have a membership at this beautiful new recreation center. Super clean, friendly helpful knowledgeable staff . We love the extra fun activities classes (astronomy and Kendo ) we can sign up for. I like the weight room and variety of machines plus a huge indoor track and fabulous pool area! Wow!

Nothing worse to get called out for swimming incorrectly as an adult by a teen lifeguard, really...???! & We tried to get into the deep end of pool to be rudely advised it was secured for special swimming classes... although the online calendar advised it was open and available. It was great at first...now my husband won't go back to do my required low impact exercise with me. Good grief ....looking for a new, kinder spot.

Wow. A huge change from when I last came to the brick house decades?! Ago. Membership is way better than getting slammed with hidden fees and contracts at the big box gyms. So much included here . Only wish hours were open longer to avoid the crowds. Really could use a boxing bag.. simply put in one of the corners of the track.

This location has a lot of potential because it’s clean, quiet, and conveniently located. However, it is poorly managed.Three months ago, I visited with my 6-year-old and discovered that the “I Zone” was only open on Saturday mornings. I spoke to the manager about updating the hours on their website, and she mentioned they were working on hiring someone to expand the hours.Last month, I checked the website again, assumed the hours had been updated, and returned, only to find that no one had been hired and the hours still hadn’t been corrected. This was frustrating and a waste of time. I asked the manager again to update the website to reflect the actual hours of operation.Last week, we made a reservation for a swim assessment because the Great Bridge pool was under maintenance. We arrived on time, only to find no instructor present. Management was completely unaware of the assessment, and the manager had to look up the details before staring at me blankly, unsure of what to do. She then attempted to conduct a makeshift swim test in an unprofessional and disorganised manner to make up for the situation.I reiterated to her that they should remove services from the app or website if they cannot offer them properly.

It’s an okay place if you want a gym. It’s family friendly, the people that work there are nice, and it’s on the smaller side if that’s what you prefer. They have a variety of equipment for cardio and strength training, although I feel there is not enough of it for the amount of people that come here. It’s not too spread out, so it feels cramped during peak times. The hours are very limited and you have to pay more for 24 hour access. The membership is one of the most expensive I’ve seen for a gym. It’s an alright place if you want a gym, pool, sauna, and daycare all in one, but I feel there are better facilities for good prices.

I love this gym! It is so family friendly! It's clean and very well managed. I love that the staff is so personable and friendly. There is so much to do for every member of our family. I appreciate the effort that is made in making us feel welcomed and looked forward to!

Hi I just took a tour of the Indian River YMCA. The receptionist was very nice and helpful.She signed me up and gave me a quick tour. This YMCA had a sauna, a steam room and what I was especially looking for a hottub. The weight room was well equiped with modern equipment and my membership allows for a personal trainer along with classes. I'm looking forward to starting soon.
