Clean, spacious, and professional staff. Only negative is people taken multiple dumbbells at once, nothing management can do about that. For the rest, very good 1st impression

Way too crowded. Literally have gone for over a month and it’s always packed. Extremely limited selection of machines and even worse selection of free weights. This gym could literally double in size and it’d still be overcrowded. 2 stars cause machines sometimes work and staff are nice enough. No need to reply to my review and tell me how you appreciate my feedback and strive to improve the experience. I don’t care.

Too many kids and broken down machines. Counted at least 5 broken down treadmills. Row machine had no seat. Some paper dispensers are empty. Kids are huddled together at machines having conversations instead of working out! Staff members are in Lala land!!

Never get a planet fitness membership anywhere! They will not let you cancel and will charge you consistently every single month. They say you have to go the location you started your membership with. I went back to this location and they said that I needed to come back after they charged me for the next month even though I told them I’d moved across the country. I’ve never been attached to a company more greedy than planet fitness and that’s saying something. Not to mention this location makes me itch. I’ve only ever seen them clean the machines once while I was there and it wasn’t thorough at all. It gets so crowded here and you have to go all around looking for mats. Not to mention getting inside is disgusting with all the pigeons and garbage everywhere outside.

How is this the biggest planet fitness that I’ve been to in this entire city. Yet they only have 3 operating stairmaster at all times. They have 4 machines, but in the last 2 YEARS one is always “under maintenance.” It’s always packed to the brim no matter what time of day you go. 8 am, 12 pm, 3 pm, 5 pm, 8 pm it doesn’t matter. How is it that management here can’t comprehend that these stairmaster machines are always being used. Why not invest in a couple of more. It’s completely ridiculous that I have to wait 20-30 minutes just to use one of these machines no matter what TIME I go. Definitely the worst managed, most overpacked planet fitness in the entire city. I avoid going here at all costs but being that this one is the closest one to my house it’s much more difficult to go out any further.

Despite the many reviews that may seem negative, I've come around here twice and both visits were pretty decent. The gym is fairly large with the locker rooms being in the basement area, depending on the day and time, you might get lucky like me and not have to wait a second on someone using a machine. It's a nice spacious area, however my main complaint is upkeep. The staff seems relatively unattentive in the gym and the etiquette of said gym goers shows for it. Majority of the free weights were unracked, I felt that I needed to at least place them back where they're supposed to be because no one else is doing it and half of the cleaning stations were out of paper towel. No one should have to walk across half of the gym to get cleaning supplies. C'mon staff, GET IT TOGETHER! Other than that, a fine place especially when it's not flooded with people.

Gym quality and cleanliness has decayed badly! Anywhere I walk either locker rooms, bathroom, or workout sections in general is always dirty with either paper towels on the floor or garbage in general such as cans and food. Bathrooms soap dispensers are never working either. Too many kids playing around lately, the gym is supposed to be a safe and comfortable place to exercise , but with kids playing around, fighting, and jumping over each other is impossible, It’s irritating having to move to the side while having to not get hit by them. All this has been happening while STAFF, and Managers are witnessing it and do NOTHING about it. This has been just a few but main problems going on lately and as a person who’s paying their subscription and for a service I think I speak for a lot of people when I point a these issues.

Horrible gym. Employee started dusting the lights during business hours while people were working out below. If you yourself are wearing a shirt to cover your face, do you think the people around you who you are dropping dust on want to be breathing it in? People started coughing and tried to cover their faces. I ended up workout early. Health hazard and dangerous. Do not go.

This review isn't a reflection of the Ridgewood, Queens location per se but of the Blink Fitness brand in general. I signed up for a "complimentary" 1-month deal that was priced at $0.01 with no hidden fees. After cancelling, I found that this offer was too good to be true far too late. The company promotes deceptive advertising to get you to pay the equivalent of one month's membership if you don't notify them within 45 Days.

Nahhh idk how someone steals a lock from your locker and not the stuff inside of it, I can't even feel secure with leaving my stuff in the locker room anymore. Everything that people are saying here is legit. There's not enough dumbbells. It's always packed, there's never paper towels, or sometimes the trash cans are full of garbage, and now I can't even leave my stuff in the locker room with a lock on. I was very patient with this gym for this past year, but this just triggered it now. I'm definitely canceling my membership.
