Best Gyms with Resistance Machines near Montclair, New-jersey

First thing to say is this gym is ONLY BOULDERING. Just make sure you know this beforehand so you aren’t disappointed and bring a harness to the gym. But when you are aware that it is an only bouldering gym, you realize it’s really good for what it does. There’s a really cool comp wall, a 45 degree overhang, an arch section, slab, and everything in between. Overall a great gym that I’d love to come to again.

Fun place to climb with a knowledgeable, friendly staff. Lots of great climbing for all skill levels. I highly recommend it.

Bouldering only!! The staff is always super friendly and helpful, and the routes are fun and challenging (sometimes the grades are a little wacky but hey). There is also a decent gym section and fitness classes, so you're getting more for your money than just the climbing. Would recommend!

This is a great rock climbing gym. Everyone is very friendly there. One of the workers (Julia) patiently helped me to pick out the shoes that I would need when I decided to purchase my own instead of renting. She gave me great advice when it came to the best type of shoe for beginners, chalk, and bag to buy. There are plenty of problems to climb at this gym. If you're a beginner, you have plenty of safe, fun options when it comes to climbing (VB, V0, V1) There is a small gym with equipment that you can use to warm up before climbing or to just get in a workout ( It has a treadmill, elliptical machine, mats, kettle bells, bosu ball, pull-up bar, etc). The people who work there clean everything thoroughly. The bathrooms are never dirty. Your day pass can be used throughout the same day it is purchased, and you have access to the classes offered that day. Shoe rentals are only $5 and renting a chalk bag will only cost you $3.

Great new addition to the GV family! Located in downtown Montclair and free 3 hour parking in the garage next door (validated parking). Love the thick mats, new holds and varied range and types of bouldering problems!

This gym is absolutely amazing! The 24/7 access makes it perfect for any schedule, and the convenient location is a huge plus. What truly sets it apart is the exceptional cleanliness and the team’s dedication to maintaining a high standard of quality and care. It’s clear they take pride in creating an outstanding experience for everyone. Highly recommend it!

I honestly cannot say enough about this location! A clean & friendly environment is only a fraction of what this gym has to offer. The staff here is incredible, everyone is super kind, accommodating, and welcoming. It’s honestly worth every penny, I pay for the outstanding customer service, the lowkey environment which is great for those who deal with social anxiety. I never have to worry about machines being unavailable due to high volume. It’s 24 hours which doesn’t pressure me to have to make it to the gym by a certain time. I don’t think I’ll ever stop going here! Also a special shout out to Mike he is absolutely incredible!

Anytime Fitness Montclair is the best AF gym I’ve been to. The floor plan is very accommodating to gym-goers of all levels & They make the best use of the space provided. Great size turf floor, tons of machines to choose from & power racks for strength training. It’s very convenient for me to walk here from my apartment. I always have a really great workout here.

Super excited to start my journey in this gym. Staff is amazing. The place is super clean and is not packed like other gyms.
