I pay Little Elm school taxes but I am treated as a non resident for all of Little Elm’s amenities like the Rec Center. Guess how I am going to vote the next time they ask for money for the schools.

This is a decent little gym but it's not on par with the recreation facilities in the rest of DFW. They need to significantly expand their weight training equipment. Given that most of the square footage of the facility is idle most of the time, they can convert a class room on the 2nd floor to weight training and add additional equipment. It's a good start, but The Rec should make better use of its space to have more weight equipment and be better equipped to handle the needs of a rapidly growing city.

I joined Gold’s Gym because of the facility and staff, but today for the first time I experienced the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. At the Little Elm location located on 423 & El Dorado Parkway, they have been hiring and part of this staff included a woman of African American descent. She is the only staff member that does not greet you, she is the only staff member that selectively smiles or speaks, she is the only staff member that seems to put the process over people. Honestly, please train better or hire better. Today, we ( my son & I) came to the gym with our $37.99 monthly membership and he brought his girlfriend. She has visited with us one time previously, but this was prior to turning 18. During that visit, a front desk personnel allowed her to visit; however, he politely let me know the next time she would need to register and use the bring-a-guest pass. Fast forward to today, we arrived and were attempting to take her to the kiosk to register her as I was advised. NO ONE WAS AT THE FRONT DESK WHEN I ARRIVED. When we went through the gate, this hire came from sitting on the couches (no greeting) and stated, “Is she a member?” I replied, I am checking her in at the kiosk.” “No, you need to stop here first,” signaling the front desk. I tried explaining to her what I was told prior; she stated, “So that’s even worse, she already worked out for free, didn’t she?” Now my mood shifted! Backstory: the gym has been my coping mechanism for my growing depression and anxiety since my recent layoff. So, needless to say, this interaction struck a nerve as this membership (well, two memberships) is a financial burden that I feel has been a necessity and helpful. She responded as frustrated as I was, as if she was paying her last money towards misinformation on the part of a Gold’s Gym staff. As I am currently walking on this Matrix ClimbHill with tears in my eyes, a running nose, and sweating 🥵 out of breath, I am completely convinced I need to find a new gym, and you should think twice before joining this one. I believe in Servi-tude, that is a service-first attitude regardless of the position you have. It is sad and disheartening that people in a service industry don’t understand or care to. I know my two memberships don’t mean much compared to the thousands of members, but that experience and $17.00 meant a lot to me.

I’m pretty sure that if all the "free pass" and "cancellation issues" were removed, this would easily be a 4.8-star gym. I just signed up, and the gym is beautiful. I wish it had a sauna, but that’s never a deal-breaker for me. I also noticed some complaints about employees at the front desk having a bad attitude. Personally, I don’t like those types of employees either, but I just walk in, mind my business, and leave the same way—no need to worry about other people’s energy. So far, my experience has been exactly what I needed. I haven’t felt this way in YEARS. Conclusion: If you’re looking for a gym with modern workout equipments and don’t mind a no-nonsense environment, sign up. If you’re expecting free day passes or a Chick-fil-A level of customer service everywhere you go, then maybe this gym isn’t for you. Lock in, everyone—this year is yours!

I’ve been living in Little Elm for almost 5 years and I’ve been going to TFF. When they changed over to PF that was the last straw. I cannot believe I’ve been living here all this time and never been to Gold’s. I LOVE it here. Gold’s is a vibe and it’s a gym goers gym. If you REALLY workout then this is your gym.

The Good: Clean gym, feels safe, good equipment. The Bad: Not enough equipment to share, gets overcrowded easily, can’t find enough weights and they get scattered everywhere. This game NEEDS more than one leg press and more squatting rack stations. These are always hotly contested.

I usually go to the Dallas location, so this was my first time coming to this one. I had brought a guest with me and informed the front desk that she is a guest and would like to get a free guest pass for her. He informed me that they do not do free guest passes and that all guest must buy a guest pass. I then asked if this was a new policy, as I am very aware that as long as the guest is over the age of 18, is a first time guest, and live within a few miles of the vicinity, they are able to come in for free. He was adamant however that this was not a thing (at least for this location). It wasn’t until I pulled up the free pass application on my phone, that he THEN allowed us to use the kiosk to sign her up. I am not sure if he was new but it felt as if he was trying to scam us and I just want to warn members who are trying to bring in a guest to be wary of this

Katie, the licensed massage therapist at this location, is fantastic. I can’t recommend her enough. From the moment you walk in, you immediately feel at ease with her calm, welcoming demeanor. Katie is not only highly skilled but truly listens to your needs, adjusting the pressure and focus areas to ensure each session is tailored to your body. She has an incredible intuition for identifying problem areas and works them out with precision and care. I always leave feeling relaxed, rejuvenated, and completely in tune with my body. Her professionalism and expertise are unmatched, and I always look forward to my next session. If you’re looking for a top-notch massage therapist, Katie is the one!

When I arrived, I was shown around by Dwayne (spell?) who was very personable. He clearly knew the other members as well based on conversation he with each of them. Low key and clean. In addition, I’ve had the opportunity to speak with the owner who reaches out to see how things are going. Definitely recommend.
