Best Gyms with Resistance Machines near Edgewater, New-jersey

I personally enjoy this gym since I’m fortunate enough to go in the mornings when there’s hardly anyone there. Can’t speak for the ones that go during peak hours, not sure how bad it is. But I’ve been a member for a few years now and I’ll continue being one. The sauna is nice, although small, but there are two of them so that makes up for it. Decent amount of equipment, maybe they need more than 1 leg press plate loading machine, but that’s my only complaint.

This gym is a joke. Not only are their membership cancellation polices ridiculous and nearsighted from a business perspective, the gym itself is disgusting. Equipment is all old with the exception of some new treadmills. It seems like there is no housekeeping, either professionally or by the members cleaning up after themselves. The bathrooms will make you want to vomit. Check it out for yourself, but for the price of membership you can do much better.

It's always clean. Sheila, the manager, is so attentive to detail and always provides excellent customer service. She has been super helpful. The staff, in general, is very friendly, and they're around the gym organizing and making sure its clean. Maricella's spinning class is probably the best in the business (I've done soul cycle, cycle bar, peloton) - none make me sweat and work out the way her class does. Her spinning class is one of the primary reasons why I stay with the gym. Parking is not bad. There's plenty of parking. Convenient location with shops and supermarket in the same complex. Also, the view of NY is a bonus!

Avoid this place if you want to preserve your sanity (and credit score). I signed up for membership but soon got a new job out-of-state. I made 0 visit to the gym, but they still asked me to pay a hefty cancellation fee (over $100). When you sign up for membership, they ask for your personal ID (which is strange). They will forward any unpaid fees to debt collection agency, as it happened to me (please see attached photo), which will seriously impact your credit score. I've exchanged multiple emails with the management but they are 100% determined to extract the cancellation fee out of me.

I had been a member of this gym for over a year. I purchased a 4 sessions fitness training package. Can you believe that in that entire year I never received 1 session? I went to the gym several times to speak with the gm and then the pt manager. I was told I would get a call back to fix the issue since every trainer kept bailing on me and never did. I was promised to get those sessions and never received a text from a trainer or manager. I would highly recommend avoiding this gym at all cost. They scammed me for my money and never delivered the service I paid for. If something similar occurs I would recommend getting an attorney involved.
