Best Gyms with Resistance Machines near Cathedral-city, California

Okay…as much as I hate to do this, this gym needs a serious clean! I walk in here daily to see the workers talking at the desk but our lockers and bathrooms aren’t clean. Always trash, hair, and I clean floors! The toilets are disgusting. It’s just disappointing to pay $25 for a gym membership for it not to be cleaned at a gym standard. I have made a review about this gym before and it seems like the owner or managers aren’t making an effort to get the gym cleaned. There currently are 8 broken machines at this facility. They use buckets when it rains because there are holes. I’ve decided I will NOT return to this gym. Alex at the front desk got mad when I asked him for a corporate number to report this gym to them and that’s why I decided to just leave a review.

This particular planet fitness is in an auspicious location, near food 4 less. I can only wish they had trees to keep your car cool on hot days but that is not the case. Nonetheless, it didn’t change my review on the place. The customer service is great, I was greeted by many team members. The gym itself is quite clean, there are plenty of cardio equipment and like other planet fitness’s they have about 2 of every machine. The members are courteous and practices proper sanitizing techniques after machine use. I was there for 2 ½ hours and it didn’t ever feel crowded, do yourself a favor and if you are considering joining a gym and live nearby, give them a try.

Great Gym! The perfect amount of equipment for all your needs; from cardio to machines, free weights to gymnastics. The staff is super friendly and they work hard to keep it clean. Like all gyms, peak hours can be busy but fellow gym goers are respectful and equally focused. I reshaped my body/health/life at that gym in just under 18 months (lost over 50 pounds). Bring your attitude and focus, Planet Fitness will supply the rest!

On your phone? Stay at home! I see members at the gym on a workout machine playing on their phone and oblivious to everybody else who may be waiting for the machine. How about an occasional announcement to the gym about this issue? Otherwise, the gym is in good condition. Overall, I like the openness and the large fans. I like the crowd meter so I can go when it’s not crowded.Thanks.

Super clean gym! There are cloths and spray to wipe down at every station encouraging clean gym behavior 😉 Also appreciate the lockers available!

I’m an Anytime Fitness member. While visiting my friend in CA, I was able to visit AF in Cathedral City. This is a beautiful, clean facility. It’s double the size of the AF near my WI home. Has so many fabulous AF equipment (that my AF does not have) such as an Aqua Message Bath, a full stair stepper/climber, various others that I cannot name. Lockers with keys to use, coffee area, walk-mounted drinking water basin and bottle filler. A product display for purchasing workout powders. The vibe is uplifting. At 1pm in the afternoon, there were about 15 people working out. Friendly atmosphere. Mike is super … friendly, personable, helpful.

Hello, well to begin with I was very excited to join this gym so I signed a 1 year contract with them, after the year they renewed it automatically, I never was told that they would automatically renew it, I had moved away from this whole valley, so I sent in the mail a 30 day cancellation notice, because calling the owner and the place was horrible they never responded or provided good service,They claimed never received it so I drove 4 hours to cancel this membership with a girl that was working their, I had also emailed the owner after because they kept charging me after I canceled months later. If the owner see this please reply because I was gutted, I had also called again months later to confirm with the girl that cancel my membership if it was canceled & she told me it was. Now I’m getting called that I owe them money to this date, it’s mediocre representation and false advertising this place. It’s a shame I met some lovely people but not worth getting involved with again.

Thank god for Fernando!!! This guy rocks. We had a big issue with our gym coverage from a third party plan and he was able to pick up the phone and solve our issue in a few minutes. The service and care that was shown was above and beyond and that means a lot these days. The club had a good amount of equipment and was clean. A good gym for sure. Wasn’t too crowded either.
