Extremely disappointed it’s been happening for years I leave and come back hoping yall get it together. Coaches are always late so kids miss 5-10 min of practices or coaches don’t know about the sport and just make kids run half of the practice. I know coaches are volunteers but I pay if someone is paying you should make sure they get what there supposed to get. My boy don’t get put on the game plays on Saturdays because he is not a star so he gets to sit most of the time on the bench. Today I went to my kids game and they changed the schedule they were supposed to play at 11am but they played at 10am they changed the set schedule. If the schedules can change at least tell us the schedules can change so make sure to call everyday or tell them to check emails everyday even so that’s too much. If the schedule is done go by the schedule already people plan accordingly. I need my money back this is not worth it. I’m tired of this and I’m leaving for good this time. I pay I don’t get the sport for free and I struggle to pay it for my kids sports but I do it because they love it. If someone is paying for something at least fulfill what’s promised.

PT with Jackie is great. She very knowledgeable and patient. It is not as noisy as other gyms. Everyone has been very welcoming.

Last year my kid(11yr) started working out with me under my supervision with weights with no issues from staff. My son was looking forward to another summer of hitting the gym with me as it's a huge confidence booster as well as great quality time to spend together. Right away 2 female staff members quickly ended our workout stating they are implementing new rules and kids under 13 cannot use the free weights, but they can use the "pin weights/machines". The machines are awkward in size for him which causes improper form, where as the free weights would be the superior method. 2nd, the machines are poorly maintained. The seats are stuck and rusted-i almost tipped a machine trying to adjust the seat for my son to use. I agree that an UNSUPERVISED 10yr old should not use the weights. However I am a lifelong lifter who is strictly supervising and teaching my son. I rarely use the "pin machines" due to my preferred workout methodology, so it would be a major conflict trying to train alongside my son on them. Unless management is willing to make a compromise we will be searching for a new gym. In conclusion, paying a $100 a month to not be able to use alot of stuff we joined to use doesn't seem viable anymore.

The YMCA in Pearland is a family-focused place and our kids have a wide variety of activities to choose from year-round. The prices are reasonable for membership and classes for kids. Soccer, swim, archery, art...my kids love to try it all. They are in a safe and fun environment and their Y coaches and leaders are an extension of their community!
