Snap Fitness Medina - A Complete Disappointment
After being loyal members of Snap Fitness Medina for over four years, I can confidently say this is one of the most poorly run fitness centers I have ever encountered. My recent experience has been nothing short of frustrating and deeply disappointing, and I feel compelled to warn others about the serious issues with this location.
1. Lack of Transparency and Miscommunication:
When signing up, I was under the impression that my membership included reciprocal access to other Snap Fitness locations. I discovered only recently, after years of membership, that this was not the case. Worse yet, this is not an isolated incident. I’ve learned that several other members had similar complaints and were equally misled by the unclear communication during the signup process.
2. Unwillingness to Resolve Issues:
Instead of owning up to their mistake, the management at Snap Fitness Medina has shown a complete lack of accountability. When I attempted to resolve this issue, they offered a “solution” that would require me to pay more for the membership I thought I already had. Meanwhile, other locations like Mansfield and Ashland offer the exact membership I thought I was paying for, at the same rate I was already paying in Medina!
3. Rude and Unprofessional Management:
When I raised my concerns, the management’s response was dismissive, rude, and even threatening. They attempted to dissuade me from leaving honest reviews by threatening legal action for “libel.” This unprofessional attitude only solidified my belief that this location does not care about its members.
4. Violation of Franchise Standards:
After thoroughly reviewing Snap Fitness’s franchise agreement, it’s clear that this location has several infractions. From the subpar condition of the facility and equipment to their discriminatory pricing practices and poor customer service, this location does not live up to the standards set by Snap Fitness corporate.
5. Failure to Address Concerns Promptly:
Despite multiple attempts to resolve this matter amicably, including giving them the chance to refund the last month’s membership fee as a gesture of goodwill, they refused to take any meaningful action. Instead, they claimed corporate had no authority over them, a blatant dismissal of their obligations as a franchisee.
6. Unreasonable Cancellation Process:
Even when I requested to cancel my membership due to their lack of resolution, they created unnecessary hurdles. They required me to fill out forms and cited policies they themselves had violated.
If you value transparency, professionalism, and a well-maintained facility, do not sign up with Snap Fitness Medina. Their lack of accountability, poor communication, and disrespect for loyal members are unacceptable. I will also be escalating my concerns to Snap Fitness corporate to ensure that other potential members are not subjected to this kind of treatment.
This location’s poor management and dismissive attitude have made what should have been a positive fitness experience an absolute nightmare. My advice? Go to any other Snap Fitness location, or better yet, find a different gym altogether.
Look at all the one star reviews and negative reviews. They're all a complete replica of the complaints. Hence this location is definitely operating unethical.
