Dirty gym. As a former D1 athlete I can certainly say this gym misses most bare minimum expectations. I bought a 1 month membership to try it out and happened to get COVID and missed a large portion of the month. I asked the desk multiples times if they could be courteous and either give me some refund or another month so I could at least get money worth. After emails and phone calls to them I finally got answered and was told they would call back soon (they never called). So besides having poor management — the weights, benches, machines, mats all have holes and rust. It’s a sore sight to the eye and I’m not sure a single piece of equipment is in the 2000s era. Let alone you’re smashed together next to one another because how tight the gym space is. And if you have any questions about the gym or of the sorts… don’t bother asking the front desk. They just sit on the sofa and say “uhhh I don’t know”. 0/5

Nice gym! Reasonably priced and not too crowded during peak hours

I go here especially for the Les Milles classes. The instructors here are friendly and great! The space they have for the classes is full of mirrors which can be a pro or con depending on preferences.

Nice locally owned gym. The staff are very committed to your having the best workout experience. Small but mighty:)

About three years ago I joined this gym because they have daycare for my daughter. The facility is small, but has all the basics I need for my workout. The staff is really friendly. The new manager (Scotti) is awesome. I love Fernanda's Yoga -- she's amazing!!!

I started training in boxing and Muay Thai one year ago at Lombard MMA, and have progressed from the beginners classes into the advanced classes. The gym has given me a community outside of the stresses of grad school, and a healthy outlet. I'd wanted to try out MMA for a while but had been too intimidated as a female who is relatively weak and non-confrontational. However, I felt safe enough to try MMA out at Lombard because there are other women in classes at all levels, and Coach Bruce makes a real effort to make everyone feel welcome and encourage community. Try out a beginner class, you'll be surprised how quickly you can learn a cool skill, how strong your body can become, and how welcome you feel.

I have been going here for over a year. What started as a casual trial class turned into an intrinsic part of my routine. I went up from the beginner to advanced class over the year in both boxing and Muay Thai. For someone with zero prior martial arts experience, the learning curve was steep but I had amazing coaches like Bruce and Dan along the way. The community is also great there where I’ve made some great friends and you also get help from the more experienced members. The prices are also very nice for students! Please don’t be intimidated to try your first free class and get a feel of this amazing facility and community.

Great people, great vibes, great training. Awesome environment to have fun and learn at the same time. I had a blast right from my first class - and I started from total zero, no martial arts background. It's such a welcoming, encouraging environment that I jumped right in with boxing, muay thai, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and kickboxing. I'm getting better, and best of all, I'm loving every minute.

I trained at Lombard MMA starting in high school and kept going into college. Bruce is a great coach, really cares about his students, and makes a welcoming and friendly environment for everyone. If you want a good coach to learn martial arts skills from or just a fun gym to work out at with a great community, I would highly recommend.

I have been training at LombardMMA for around 2 years. When I started, I had virtually no experience. Compared to other MMA gyms, the staff is patient and will pay the same amount of attention to someone who just joined and those who have been coming to the gym for years. This constant attention and coaching allowed me to become competent enough to join the LombardMMA coaching staff myself. In addition to technical development, the classes at LombardMMA provide an excellent way to improve fitness. Training here prepared me well for the physical challenges of Marine Corps Officer Candidates School. Regardless of your background or goals, LombardMMA has something to offer everyone!
