This gym is affordable, clean, and the early morning has virtually no crowds. There's no sign up or annual fees that you would likely paid at a commercial gym. Just FYI, when you attempt to sign up for a membership at the enrollment center their receptionist had me running in circles, even tried to claim that I can't sign up for a membership even though it was advertised that I could- just make sure to tell them that an admissions person HAS to enroll you and you cannot self enroll.

Truly enjoy the fitness center and classes offered. The center is clean and front desk is helpful. There's always someone on the floor to assist if needed. Susie's classes are outstanding. For a truly relaxing experience try the sound meditation with or without the yoga. I've heard positive comments about all the instructors. It's a great facility and they take Silver Sneaker.

We vote the Glendale Community College fitness department as the best exercise facility in the Phoenix area! Their staff is knowledgeable at so many levels, in addition to offering great customer service. Their Secretary is amazing! You won't be disappointed in this place.

The instructor was very helpful and courteous and showed me how to use a plethora of equipment. If you're a student, I'd recommend getting a membership, it's great!

Heard front desk staff make multiple racial slurs. One employee made racist remarks about a person that walked in and another was staring at girls working out. Disgusting gym to work out at if staff allow racist remarks and sexualize people trying to workout. I'm never coming in again

This is a rather large gym. It is very high tech and is a relatively new construction project. You will find very up to date machinery sprawled throughout the place. It also has a great use of natural lighting, acoustics with the sound system, irregularity of the floors and outdoor views.

Nicest gym I’ve ever been to. Rarely crowded and good hours. The thing is that there are no wipes for the machinery about 50% of the time which is not a good practice with all these viruses and diseases going around.

The gym was well equipped with both machines and free weights. Spacious and clean. Front desk staff were polite and friendly. Always enjoy walking in and being greeted with a friendly smile and knowledgeable staff that know the gym equipment well. I would like to thank Payton for her kindness and generosity for a newbie to the gym! Top tier gym! Would recommend to any skill level.

The facility looks nice, but it's a facade. The sales and billing tactics are truly disgusting. They don't let you read contracts before signing. They will fail to meet expectations they express to you verbally, and refuse to do anything about issues when asked. If you ask to cancel, they do this whole "I have to ask my manager, who is not availale now" song and dance (I presume in order to delay your cancellation as long as possible). In the end, if you're truly ready to find a gym that's a better fit, they'll try to make you think you're in a contract that can't be cancelled. They threaten to send you to collections. I workout for the endorphins. Don't need this crap. Going to another gym. If they treated members with any courtesy, I would have loved to stay. But they just can't muster it.

4 star gym 1 star personal training. Trainers are good, but deceptive sales practices and salesmen that over promise set the trainers up for failure/not able to meet expectations. I was promised way more than my trainer (who is great) has been able to deliver. When I try and discuss it with management they have all kinds of excuses and promise call backs or solutions that never materialize. Do not waste your time. Take your money elsewhere.

Played here and I am very disappointed in the shape of the course. Almost like playing a dirt track with how little and dry grass there is outside the fairway. Even on the fairway it feels rock solid at times. They seriously need to get their fairways and rough in order. Also fix your sand traps please each one has different levels and consistency of sand, some are super fluffy and some don’t even have sand so it’s like chipping off dirt. Don’t even get me started on the legend that place is even worse. Such a shame because they both have really solid layouts the club just doesn’t seem to prioritize keeping it in good condition.

Magical Day Starts with A Magical Team Booking the Country Club for our Wedding Venue was the best choice. The ease of having a large well lit designated place to get ready, shaded ceremony, indoor and outdoor cocktail and reception capabilities was a dream. Kaitlynn Gaer seamlessly worked with all of our vendors and large family to make sure everything came together. She felt like part of our family. It was really all hands on deck to plan and execute our wedding in less then 2 months. We couldn’t be more grateful for Kaitlynn and all the staff at the country club. They even thought about the small details and moved some of our decor from the wedding ceremony down to the reception for us including our arch. They did all of this while my guest ate and drank to merriment and my Groom and I walked around the golf course with our photographer. I am still in awe over all the beautiful spots to take our wedding photos at. We found some beautiful stone paths, trees, ponds and of course the quintessential bridge to photograph our wedding day at. The food at the reception was far better then imagined. I know it was my own wedding but it was the best food I have had at anyone’s wedding yet. Also, ask my family they couldn’t believe how savory their food was. Thank you Arrowhead Country Club for making our iconic day so special.

I just left this club as a member after 5 years hoping that Arcis would improve the experience but it only became worse. I can’t speak much to the gym or tennis but the golf course is the equivalent of maybe a 2 or 3 ⭐️ course on golf now. They’ve oversold the membership so I wish you luck getting a tee time during peak playing times. They use a lottery system which is funny because the same 5 groups seems to get the first 5 slots 🤔 The club has turned over most of the leadership roles at the club multiple times during my time as a member mostly because they’ve tried to lean on corporate to make the necessary improvements. A close friend who is a tennis member explained that they’ve let all but 3 of 9 tennis courts go to waste. They have major cracks and bubbles on the playing surface that alter the direction of the ball which is a safety hazard and have no future plans to make improvements. I believe there is a tree that has grown into ones of the courts that Interferes with play. You can’t make this stuff up. What’s important to understand is that this isn’t a private country club managed by members. It’s a club owned by a property management company that is trying to optimize their profit at the expense of the member but there’s good news. They continue to oversell the membership and they’ve decided to more than double the initiation fee and increase the monthly dues. My suggestion is that if you’re considering this club. Ask to go walk the course, physically go down and walk onto all of the tennis courts to see their condition, ask how many golfing members there are and what their cap is. Private courses shouldn’t exceed 250 to 300 golfing members per course and they now are pushing 750 across two courses and continue to sell more. The course is really beat up because of too much play. And remember the kids that are selling you the membership are just that…they are kids just trying to make a living and selling you an experience they really doesn’t exist. I should have left a while ago but I enjoyed the members I called friends. The goal of their post is not to bash Arcis because I know they can do better but more trying to help everyone go in with their eyes wide open. No one likes to get duped. Happy New Year…let’s all make 2025 the best year yet. To the other members who might read this things can only get better when the truth is exposed and you all have a voice.

Stephanie, CJ and Dan - Our family can’t thank you enough for the amazing service and support for our precious Meg McConnaughy’s Celebration of Life ♥️ from the responsive support with turnaround on when we needed to schedule all the way to the day of the service from arranging the room, attention to details and insuring A/V support. On top of than seeing the turnout of love and people, you open and set up additional space. Meeting a need before it happened! We could not be happier and more grateful 🙏🏼 your compassion and straight up kindness, along with professionalism won’t be forgotten. The food, service and total experience was exceptional. Thank you from my family 🙏🏼

Love the gym, the instructors and the child care. The member services is the problem. First when I signed up I was told the child care was included and then when I went to drop off the first time found out it was a separate charge. Not a big deal because good value but not was I was expecting. Then when I went to cancel I arrived at 10 min to 8 and the staff said member services is the only one who could cancel and they wouldn't be in until 8. Also no manager available. You cannot cancel any other way except walking in. So I waited and member services never arrived after waiting 40 min. I had to go to work so I still haven't been able to cancel. Not a great experience.

I have had the pleasure of being a member at Mountainside Fitness for some time now, and I can confidently say that a significant part of my positive experience stems from the incredible staff who I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know. One of the MSR managers that has been lovely is Taylor. From the first day she started at this location, Taylor greeted me with a warm smile and genuine friendliness that instantly made me feel welcome 💕 What truly sets Taylor apart is her remarkable kindness and respectfulness towards every member and staff. She creates an inclusive atmosphere where everyone feels valued, regardless of their fitness level. It’s evident that she takes the time to know her clients and their needs, which fosters a sense of community that is hard to find elsewhere. I have witnessed Taylor handle stressful situations with clients who were understandably frustrated or upset (no lie, people have yelled, insulted and been absolutely horrible humans). Her resilience and ability to remain calm under pressure are truly inspiring!!! Instead of shying away from challenges, she embraces them with grace, listening attentively and offering thoughtful solutions. Her dedication to ensuring that everyone leaves with a positive experience is commendable. Taylor's leadership not only enhances the environment of Mountainside Fitness but also uplifts those around her. I am grateful for her unwavering support and encouragement, and I believe I speak for many when I say that she is a true asset to this fitness community. Thank you, Taylor, for all that you do!

This is by far the best Gym experience I have had in the Valley. Family owned, local business that runs a great spot for anyone interested in almost any aspect of fitness. I will continue to go here as long as I live in Phoenix. They do classes, and have personal trainers you can select that run their own business through the gym. (better experience IMO vs a commercial setting as you pick a well qualified trainer depending on your goal vs getting set with one.)

This is THE best gym in AZ. I come from California and it really gives the “Gold’s Gym” vibes which I love. Everyone here is serious about their fitness unlike some other places here in Arizona. Gym has an enormous amount of equipment that you’ll be so flustered on which to use. Owner and management are excellent and I highly recommend any gym goers looking for the best gym.
