First time attending and very dissatisfied. From the moment we arrived the front desk staff were unprofessional, laughing and gossiping. Corresponding with each other over text message about others at the facility. They openly talked about this in front of my family as we checked in. My husband and my young 2-year old got a day pass to go swimming. I proceeded to ask about the showers because I noticed the locker rooms being remodeled. We were told “there are signs” to the showers they have temporarily set up for folks. As we were swimming, the life guards were rude and continuously condescending toward me and my husband. If my 2 year old made a mistake like facing the wrong direction on the slide after she went down she was accused of “climbing” up. My daughter has a sensory processing disorder and loves water so she was feeling the water going down the slide with her hand. Nobody was waiting to go down at the top of the slide. It was just her using the slide. I understand they don’t want kids climbing up the slide for safety but there is a way to approach the parents respectfully about it. As we were leaving the pool, my husband asked a lifeguard where the showers were. He pointed to a door. I grabbed my 2year old and as we opened the door it was apparent that the showers they installed during the locker room remodel were OUTSIDE. it is 8:15pm at night in JANUARY. I took my family into one of the small showers they have set up in trailers outside. Turned the nozzle to get the shower running and it was ICE COLD. At that point, my toddler was shivering and crying before even getting under the shower. I was very upset. We had to make the decision to put our clothes on over our wet swimwear and leave. As we left the trailer we saw a lifeguard outside watching us. My husband asked him if there was a way to the parking lot from here. He pointed to the doors back to the pool. I had my crying toddler in my arms while my husband had his hands full with our belongings. The lifeguard wasn’t even 5ft in front of us and he didn’t even open the door for us as we followed him back to the pool to leave. He opened it for himself and closed it behind him on us. This was the icing on the cake. There were several opportunities for the staff to warn us that the showers were outside and there was no warm water. We had a small child with us and this felt very personal. From what I observed, many staff were very young, had poor attitudes and absolutely need schooling on professionalism and empathy. They need to be held accountable. I understand nobody is entitled to special treatment but damn…common decency goes a long way. We won’t be back to this facility.

The front desk lady was horrible and was extremely rude not paying attention to us and on her phone. She told us to leave when there was a "max capacity" when there was no one in the pool. The lifeguards were also bad mostly the one named Jake. The front desk person blamed the fullness on the jake guy idk if that was true or not.

Swimming room was nice and the front desk lady was super nice but, those locker rooms made me want to cringe. Very unsanitary, damaged shower walls, hair everywhere, and garbage as well. They need to hiring cleaners for the gym to be cleaned through out the day or close down those locker rooms because the open damage walls looks like some mold is growing in there. Looking at previous reviews, it looks like these walls have been like this for some time now. That’s crazy how they think that’s OK. I Gave them two stars because the pool was really nice and the front desk lady was amazing but took three stars away due to unsanitary locker rooms conditions. I really never seen anything like that before, it made me want to get in my car not even rinse off. I did let the front desk lady know, but she says they get clean once a night by the look of that bathroom they should be cleaned throughout the day. They should have a fund set aside to handle those locker rooms. It’s really should be shut down.

Went on a Thursday morning to swim laps and loved it! Such a kind and friendly environment, and a beautiful facility. I feel lucky we have this here in Federal Way!

Extremely rude front desk workers. When I paid to swim the lady acted like I was inconveniencing her to do her job! Guess she needed to get back to the movie she was watching on her phone. Also, the man was very rude too. Was playing a game on his phone as well. I don’t even care if you’re on your phone at work but don’t be rude when you have to do your job that you’re being paid for. Also needed to be buzzed in the gate entrance to use the bathroom. Also a HUGE inconvenience to her! Sorry, I spoiled your day by paying to swim and needing to be buzzed in the gate! Hopefully the next time we swim it will be different staff!
