Best Gyms with Indoor Track near Lombard, Illinois

When I embarked on my quest to find the perfect gym, I stumbled upon the Madison Meadow Athletic Center, nestled amidst a picturesque residential neighborhood and a sprawling park district park. Picture this: you're cruising down a tree-lined road, houses on either side, and suddenly, the urban jungle gives way to this futuristic, welcoming building. It's like something out of a sci-fi movie, and I was beyond thrilled to finally find "my gym." As I pulled into the parking lot and entered the gym, I was met with a vast and open space, complete with high ceilings that bathed the facility in natural light. The welcoming desk was conveniently located just a few steps from the entrance, and the young lady behind it greeted me with a warm smile and offered her assistance. My excitement was palpable; I couldn't wait to dive into my fitness journey. The Madison Meadow Athletic Center boasts impressive basketball courts, with a walking track encircling them on the second floor, providing a bird's-eye view of the action below. However, my heart sank when I learned that there was no swimming pool on the premises. It seemed like such a missed opportunity. From basketball to the walking track, the fitness center occupied a relatively small space on the second floor. Additionally, there were a couple of empty rooms adorned with mirrors, supposedly designated for yoga and jazzercise. Having been a resident of this village and dutifully paying my taxes for almost close to 40 years, I couldn't help but feel that this splendid facility was underutilized. The building itself is a work of art, and the space is undeniably expansive, but sadly, it didn't align with my current fitness needs.

Great community workout center at a fair price. I don’t take the classes but I find the upstairs fitness center perfect for my needs.

The basketball court here is great! I wish they had open gym more often tho. Nice people nice place.

Summary: This place is absolutely top notch! Fridays are free to drop in and work out in September, too! I contacted Madison Meadow via email to verify what was needed to drop in and received a response immediately! I went in and it was genuinely free (on Friday), like no sales pitch or any other hidden fees. So easy and everyone was super nice! This place is HUGE and I really enjoyed using the cardio equipment. It had a touch screen and a nice selection of options to watch while working out. The pre-programmed workouts really gave me a run for my money lol. The windows all the way around let in a lot of light and made for a nice view, too. The place is clean enough to eat off the floor. Seriously cannot say enough good things about it! I've been to many park district run places in the past, all of them were dark and dingy in some kind of basement and very small. I was absolutely blown away at this place, especially for the low price to join monthly. I definitely will be returning and I greatly appreciate everyone who works so hard to make it awesome.

Friendly staff. Convenient location. Limited group fitness classes. Cluttered studio rooms. An indoor swimming pool at this facility would be great.
