The YMCA is like my second home!!! I go there for physical, mental, and spiritual nourishment! I get positive encouragement from my dear friends, extended family, and Y staff. The staff are Always warm and friendly. The moment we walk in the door the kind, helpful staff greet us with smiles and salutations! The fitness center staff are knowledgeable and attentive to my family's needs. The aquatics staff keep a constant eye on EVERYTHING going on in the pool area. We don't have to worry about our children the staff are our second set of eyes. The YMCA is the perfect place to get families fit and healthy in a safe, friendly environment. We love Our YMCA family!!!♥️

To be fair, this YMCA is undergoing major renovation, so right now it is a WRECK. I had to walk around 3 sides of the building before I could find the entrance, which is barely marked and essentially hidden. Parking is a joke. I went to inquire about their swimming program only to find out the pool is closed for at least 6months and the lap swimming is now only avaliable through local school pools for very limited time slots (5am-6:30am MWF at one school, 5:30pm-7:30pm TTh at another and a couple of hours on Saturday). Hopefully with the major renovations this time period for the Y will become a thing of the past. For now, it's really disappointing.

I love the Y and all it has to offer. But the “summer hours” and weekend hours make it tough to feel like I can get my moneys worth. Really wish they had hours like other gyms in the area…

I love the Y but this location says it's family friendly but only has one small room to accommodate Littles. I also tried to take my almost 3 year old swimming and was literally right with him in arms reach the whole time and the life guard was very rude at the small pool. My little guy took 2 fast steps before I then took a fast step to grab him. They yelled at my toddler to not run and made him cry. He's a kid and has never been to a pool before we are learning and yelling at my child will not teach him to be comfortable. I had it handled. When I asked the lifeguard what they wanted me to do she said "follow the rules, and control my child" we had not even stepped foot in the water yet. I took him in with a life jacket and he was scared and cried so we got out. This life guard then told me I "wasted my time coming here" how rude! My wife works at the store camps for the Y and I have never had issues at any other YMCA establishment. The life guard need training to understand how children act at different ages and to control their temper. We will be going to the Ann arbor location instead.

It's a nice little place, people at the front desk are super kind, lifeguards can be strict so just be careful how you act. You have to wear a shirt in the main lobby or else you'll get lectured even if you're wearing a sports bra or a cover up. It's better to go early in the morning because they have swim lessons and if you go at like 5pm, usually the hot tub won't be open for free swim until 7 and the pool wont be open until 7:30 and they closed at 8pm when i was there.
