I almost didn't join because of the low score reviews. But man am I glad I did. Everyone is incredibly nice, I have no idea what the other reviews were going on about. The kids club is amazing. They have an organized activity every hour, our daughter loves it. They have a super shallow indoor pool we can swim with her in. They have a ton of spin classes. They just had free pictures with Santa. This place is a no brainer for us.

Gorgeous gym, with absolutely everything you can think of. Membership is a premium membership ($199/person and up) yet there's all the top of the line equipment, different temperature pools, wet/dry sauna, hot tubs, showers, and much much more. New pickleball courts are also available to be used, but bring your own equipment. You can even leave your kids for up to 3hrs where they will be supervised at a dedicated daycare.

I love working out at this gym. There is something for everyone. From the free weights, machines, classes, pools, and so much more. Hands down this is a great value. The gym is always clean and the staff is committed to you having an amazing experience. I highly recommend Lifetime Athletic.

Update: Cleanliness has gotten worse. The pools and hot tubs look as if they haven’t been cleaned since opening. The hot sauna is constantly down. The steam room smells so bad. The front door has been broken for months. The general manager responds saying he is personally handling things but I’m not really sure what that means since things continue to get worse. Rates keep going up but the money is not being put back into the facilities. This place could be so amazing with the right leadership. Sad… The cleanliness has really gone downhill. We go in right at opening and you would think it would be on the cleaner side. Everything is dirty and makes the facilities smell bad. The locker room sinks and benches are never clean, steam room is dirty and smells of mildew, and the hot tub area I don’t think has been cleaned since they opened. The amount of people is getting out of hand due to all the new construction and it may be time to open another location.

Dirty pools, bad management and the class schedules are inconvenient. I have been a member here for the past 3 years or so. This used to be one of the best gyms in Folsom. Now, the pools are dirty, Class schedules are oriented towards making you take personal training. The group classes are also very bad with most trainers. I have found peloton classes to be better compared to some of them offered at this Gym. I have taken personal training here as well. The PT I was with was constantly changing exercises in every class. When asked why so many changes, I was told it is to make me familiar with a wide variety of exercises. I took 10 PT session and I didn't learn much nor achieve my goals. I provided feedback on my experience on the App. There was no resolution to my feedback. I spent over $1K on PT and the management doesn't even have the courtesy to fix the problem. The gym is also over crowded as many people here have grandfathered plans hence paying 50% compared to the new members.

Mckinsey is my Son's swimming instructor and she is doing an amazing job of teaching him swimming. He loves to be in the pool and learn with her.

My daughters were part of the gymnastics program which I LOVE. The main issue I’ve come to notice is with my niece who just graduated high school and used to teach in the dance program. My issue is mainly with Jessica aka Miss Jay who mistreats many of these employees (CHILDREN) who are still in high school and teaching the prek/grade school dance classes. My niece says she was yelled at for not “doing her job” when she was actively helping the children with costumes during one of the summer recitals. She was also yelled at and threatened with termination for not showing up to teach when she had informed staff that she had COVID. So parents please be aware that somebody with COVID, the flu, mono, strep, etc may very well be teaching your very young children. She was expected to come in despite being ill and potentially passing germs to the students, which I personally find unacceptable. My niece also told me of how a fellow employee had broken her foot and been yelled at for not being quick enough with the students during a Christmas show. All I hear is how poorly these employees are treated. I’m now aware that the dance program is in many ways very separate from the gymnastics program so I hope the young people teaching the gymnastics classes aren’t treated this poorly as well. However, hearing of how the young people teaching in the dance program were treated by staff was enough for me to want to pull my daughters out of the gymnastics program. If trick’s wants to support staff/leaders who are going to treat young people that way then I won’t have any part, which is a shame because my two littles enjoy the gymnastics program.

This place is a Godsend for our children. The structure builds confidence and obviously benefits of physical activity for children are immeasurable. We were overjoyed to find Tricks after moving to Folsom from the Southeast for my work. The instructors here are top notch and we cannot thank you all enough. Gymnastics, TAG agility training, Swimming, Ballet, Dance, they have a little bit of it all. All three children have their spots and love their training and instructors. Miss Sofie is my children's favorite.
