What is the point of a costly family membership if alot of the activities and facilities are closed down/at capacity majority of the time? Basically if you aren't enrolled in a sport or swim class you won't be able to utilize anything besides the workout area. Was hoping for much more considering the cost. Will be canceling my membership tomorrow.

This YMCA is a bit small as it shares the building with Andover Community Center. The photos on a lot of these reviews are misleading. This YMCA has 1 full court, a pool, sauna, hot tub, and standard fitness gym. It also has a kids gym and childcare which I have not used. The large basketball court, hockey, and additional ice ranks are NOT part of the YMCA. There is an additional entrance fee as it belongs to the community center. Overall, it was not busy, staff was friendly, and place was clean. Would recommend and would revisit.

I like the kids leisure pool, there is a huge area that my 3 year old can walk in and it's not too deep. There are also two slides in the leisure area, one really small one and one that's medium sized. My 3 year old is getting more confidence (doesn't like going underwater but can handle getting face wet) and he can do the medium slide by himself. There are 2 large slides but we've never been here when it is open. I also love the Kids Stuff room. They have a huge room for the kids to play in, plus a playground outside they go to on nice days, PLUS an indoor 'playspace' playground. It's not huge but it is two stories and my kids often come out tired from running around and playing. There is a subway inside the community center closer to the hockey arena so that's a bonus if you want to stay for awhile!

Very very nice and impressive facility. The weight area does need a few different pieces.
