Best Gyms with Functional Training Equipment near Columbia, Tennessee

Planet Fitness in Columbia, Tennessee is absolutely horrendously disgusting. Take a look at the photos for yourself. No A/C or air flow in the locker rooms. So humid and stuffy inside the locker rooms. Soap scum / Mold / Dust all over the locker rooms and showers. No water pressure. No Hot Water. All while an employee sits at the front desk on their cell phone when they could be cleaning and being a productive member of society. Columbia PF should be ashamed of theirselves!!! Unacceptable. No way to justify this filth. Certainly didn’t get this dirty over night! That’s months and years of neglect and piss-poor management from the General Manager GM. Plus there’s bugs flying and crawling around the locker rooms and on the walls and floors. And the drains in the shower and sink smell like sewers and landfills

The first day was okay being a guest here it was fun using the equipment the showers are okay they could be cleaned better the staff people made me feel uncomfortable they kept giving a snobby vibe. Massage chairs were really good you actually made me want to join until tonight I change my mind I KNOW LONGER WANT TO JOIN.

The gym is absolutely amazing but however the ladies at the front desk really need to be more polite to the guests. Specifically the skinny brunette lady that worked the desk yesterday along with a bigger woman. Anytime I guess ask her a question she looked annoyed and she rolled her eyes without trying to hide it and when I asked for a pass to go to the black card massage area, she took the pass and put it down in front of me and scooted it towards me to wait for me to pick it up rather than just hand it to me. I just pray that she heals. 🫶🏾

While deployed to Columbia with our non-profit disaster response team, Planet Fitness welcomed us in to shower each day. The staff was friendly and thanked us for our service in the community. Thank you for giving back to the community by welcoming us in!

I love coming here to work out! That facility is clean they have great tanning beds. All the equipment is in great condition and I really love having 10 different TVs to look at while I am on the treadmill. The staff is always friendly and makes you feel welcome to be here. I encourage everyone to come and check them out. It's truly a no judgment zone.

1st time here to celebrate a birthday party. Not a bad Lil spot. Has a very nice work our area. An indoor what appears to be a kickball/soccer field for the kids to run around and play in. This is a great location to have birthday party's etc. Especially if weather would be a problem. It's also located just off the main road so it's easily accessible.

It's sad to have to write a review like this but after coming here for years with my kids soccer practices and indoor training I feel the need to tell you the truth. This place stinks, why? Poor managment, It's never clean, always cold and damp inside especially in winter so you freeze, the bathrooms are rarely clean, and the staff mostly sit around not doing anything. It's sad that Columbia doesn't have something better to offer but maybe one day that will change.. or maybe this place will improve. I truly hope so.. :)

My husband and I joined Game Time a year and a half ago and their programming and friendship have been life altering. We look forward to showing up, seeing our friends and working hard. This space is totally free from body shaming and egotistical gym culture. Heck there’s not even any mirrors. We’re all just growing together.

Great services, great facility, amazing staff. Hannah makes scheduling so easy and is SUPER quick to respond. We have used the facilities as individuals as well as for team practices and always have been very pleased with the service of the staff. Coaches are great too! We tried all 3 baseball coaches for our daughter with softball and were very happy with each one! Would recommend this place to anyone looking for an extra boost with sports practice!!

Game Time is somewhere every member of our family can go and enjoy. Our middle school girls benefit from classes catered to their age group but still individualized for each child’s ability. The same goes for the adult classes. The coaches are kind and make exercise fun and cool. As a physical therapist, I have been impressed by the knowledge the trainers have and pleased with the techniques they use with instruction. My youngest just discovered the indoor soccer on Friday nights and is in love! Thank you Columbia State Women’s Soccer Team!!! Game Time is the longest gym “membership” we have ever maintained. (4 years and counting) Membership is in quotes because they do not require a contract —you are not “stuck” there. You will stay because you enjoy the variety, the challenge, the encouragement, the strength/functional gains, and the people. First class is free!
