The new machines are excellent, with perfect ergonomics. The gym is always clean, paper towels dispensers always full. And the staff is always professional, courteous, and efficient. Thank you for providing such a great place to workout.

I was harrased by management for not putting cable attachments back . I feel singled out just for being committed to my fittness journey . When I approached manager to discuss being singled out I was given an attitude and treated poorly. KIds should not be a manager if they are on power trip. He openely addmitted to watching me on camera In this judgement free zone. Which I asked why are you judging me. I left after he treated me rudely he always had to have the last word. There is no freedom of speech in planet fittnes. This is a shame.

Nice staff. Other members can be weird lol especially the selfie ones in the lockers. Showers are gross. Plenty of working machines and they’re usually freed up when I go.

Glad I quit this gym. Three of the guys on staff are creepy and talk about the female members’ looks. That makes it extremely uncomfortable, not to mention completely unprofessional. My membership cancellation goes into effect on the 17th, and I have not been back to this gym even though they told me I could still use it until then.

My experience is very positive. I am glad this gym is close to my house. I work out three times a week for very little money.

Lifetime South Austin is an awesome gym. It’s never too crowded when I come. It has all the machines I need for exercise, an indoor and outdoor pool, and sauna. The kids club has been a life saver. The women’s locker room is well kept and clean! The staff are positive and helpful.

When I first joined this gym, I was impressed by the facilities and the overall atmosphere. The equipment was modern, the staff were friendly, and there was a strong sense of community among members. The gym offered a variety of classes and amenities that made it an attractive place to work out. However, over time, I’ve noticed a significant decline in the quality of services provided. The gym has undergone several renovations that seem more focused on aesthetics than functionality. While some improvements were welcome, many changes felt superficial and did not enhance the workout experience. Instead, these renovations have been accompanied by consistent price increases, which is frustrating for long-time members like myself. The rising costs are particularly concerning given the diminishing quality of services. Each time I receive a notification about a price hike, I can’t help but feel that I’m being charged more for less value. It seems as though the management is prioritizing profit over member satisfaction. One of the most disappointing aspects has been the maintenance of key facilities like the sauna and steam rooms. Initially, these areas were cleaned weekly, providing a pleasant environment for relaxation after workouts. Unfortunately, it appears that this standard has slipped significantly; I have serious doubts about whether they are cleaned at all anymore. This lack of cleanliness not only detracts from my experience but also raises concerns about hygiene and safety. In summary, while my initial experience at this gym was positive, ongoing issues with pricing and cleanliness have led to growing dissatisfaction. It feels as though the focus has shifted away from providing quality service to maximizing profits through unnecessary renovations and increased fees. I hope that management will take these concerns seriously and make necessary changes to restore the gym to its former glory.

This is by far the worst lifetime I have ever been to. Terribly managed. The gym equipment is constantly broken and the entire workout area looks like it is cleaned only once a week. The amenities are great if they are ever working. The saunas, pools, and hot tubs are broken most of the time. Want to use a squat rack? Think again because they use all of them for the group classes and personal trainers(that don’t even look like they workout). I love Lifetime but this South Austin location is run atrociously.

This gym has been a great place for our family to have fun and stay active while indoor from the Austin heat. One of the highlights has been having John Brown as my personal trainer. He has been invaluable in my fitness journey during the past 3 months to help me with strength building and body recompositioning. His expertise in nutrition to his incredible skill set in dynamic stretching, where only he can magically wipe out any tensions I have that day to allow me to perform the training exercises safely, pain-free and with proper form and technique. He’s also a wealth of knowledge when it comes to the hows and whys of all the strength exercises he has planned for me. I leave each session smarter and stronger. I can see & feel the difference and am always surprise at what I am capable of lifting coming out of our weekly session. Thanks, Coach for the support and motivation! “Let’s Go!” In addition to training, the group classes with Jen F, Noelle, Lisa, and Aimee are so fun and empowering. They’re such great instructors and you come out of each of their classes feeling great. Our girls regularly go to rock climbing because Ms. Allison makes it extra fun and is so great communicating with the kids. We also utilize their indoor lap pool and shower several times a week. Definitely worth the investment in exchange for a fun and active lifestyle.

They advertise a whole bunch of squat racks but in reality there’s only 3 available the rest are always being used by personal trainers not even using them just taking up the space and the others there’s a class going on. (They prioritize the class bc those members pay a higher fee) don’t bother talking to the managers they dont anything. Example. Prime time Personal trainer stuff left there for more than 30 minutes with no one there

Crunch Fitness is a gym for gym goers. Plenty of workout equipment, equipment in good shape, clean, gym feel, friendly and helpful staff. All of the essentials for a great workout without the fluff of other nearby corporate gyms. They let me workout for free on a 3 day pass while in town. I’ll be joining starting in May when I’m coming to town again on a more regular basis.

Overall an amazing gym! Only 5 min from me would really love to make it my home gym if they could add a belt squat machine or even a reverse hack like the other locations! Would be super helpful to avoid the drive down to the Kyle location, other than that it's the perfect gym!

Sexist gym. Over 3 months waiting for men’s showers to be remodeled, only a week for women’s as men’s showers access swiftly taken away and given to women when done. When sauna goes down male workers too busy assisting women to stop and reset sauna. Best location to work out but all attention os for female patrons.

This was a great gym until the showers started going under construction. I drive 30min into town and cannot shower at the gym because they’ve been under construction. So this is upsetting. As soon as the men's showers get finished, they switch us to the women's bathrooms which have showers that are under construction. This is unacceptable. The men have already had to go almost 2 months without showers, now we won't have access to the showers until next year, while the women remain unaffected by the shower construction. Thinking of pausing my membership for a few months until construction is complete because after driving 30min into town from Cedar Creek, I have no place to shower.

Best gym in Austin. Been working out here for a month. It has at least 7 of every machine, 7 squat racks, a women’s only area, basketball courts, saunas, and so much more. The machines, layout, and cleanliness are exceptional. I dropped both PF and GG and joined FC after trying them out during various times for 3 days. Very happy with my decision.

Absolutely love this gym. It’s my type of crowd. It’s super spacious and super cool perk: It has a private women’s only workout section! The guy chaston, who gave me a tour around the gym give me a great in depth tour, and made sure I signed up for the membership lol. He was great as well as the rest of the team super nice people this is a great gym to workout in !!

Will gave us a tour tonight and was great! Went over all our goals and showed us the gym. I love the women’s only section makes it feel easy to workout for somebody who feels nervous to workout in a big gym. For the price it’s a great deal and feels clean.

Friendly and welcoming staff. William is always interacting with incoming members with a positive and uplifting attitude. Great variety of equipment, out of orders usually get fixed within a reasonable time. Good amenities, I would’ve given it 5 stars buuut I’d like for it to be 24/7 again. Also pay the employees more, they are the ones making the magic happen, not corporate.

The worst club ever! In all states. The app can't charge correctly and they charge a fee when they couldn't charge your account! I have 2 cards listed and they couldn't or wouldn't. and they charged me +$15. I will change the club for better conditions, and I will go where there is a pool and there is no such disgusting service And one more minus I can't write to them, only at the receptionist's desk, which is not convenient for me at all. I don't recommend this disgusting club to anyone.

Some characters here. Dudes just hanging out in the locker room. The shower head I got barely worked, and the water was luke warm while the shower stall next to me had steam rolling out from it. Also no place but the shower floor to put soap/shampoo bottles. Was also dirty. As a van lifer who has been to many planet fitnesses, there are better. I had been going to one in south Austin that was great, but this one happened to be closer. Won’t be back.

The energy of the guys is always pretty upbeat, but the girls that worked there literally just don’t give a shit. They’re always on their phone they are not happy to even exist lol I went into a tanning bed that didn’t work called the phone number associated with the app that I have same phone number as the Google number. Well that phone doesn’t go directly to them so I get someone on the other line from Customer Service she tries calling them three times. They don’t answer so I’m naked standing in this booth. I throw my sweater on and my pants. Nothing else titties hanging out and everything. I go up there and I’m like hey y’all have me and both 3 and we’ve tried calling all three times y’all are just standing around. I said, put me in booth too for seven minutes. Y’all can figure out the other one later I go I do my tan. I come out the girls sitting on the countertop. I said politely do y’all have a direct line in case this happens again and she’s like a direct line? I’m like yes you know like a phone a direct number. She’s like I think we do. I smiled and said you work here right she says yes ma’am I said, and you don’t know if you’ll have a direct number she says I think so. And that just further upset me because she’s playing stupid. I don’t want to be a Karen but if you wanna go that route, we can go that route. Ironically, the manager wasn’t there. I said what about the guy with all the tattoos he is super cool. He’s always up beat, She said oh I don’t know where he is. And made no attempt to find him.,Just being very sarcastic and acting like she’s dumb And that only further upset me. .Please hire people that are happy And have common sense. And check the tanning booths every now and then. To your response I sure hope someone answers the phone! Lol cuz they didn’t While I was standing naked in the booth and I went out for an while I was standing naked in the booth and I went out there and all three of them are just sitting there talking or on their phone, but yeah, I’ll reach out for sure Or maybe just go to another location which sucks cause y’all are very close to my home Also my coworker said the same thing when he visited! Thanks for reaching out Tim! Everyone deserves a second chance. 😊

I come to this gym often when I work in Austin to shower and to workout once or twice a week. This isn’t my home location but it’s still pretty good. Nice staff, nice and clean environment too. Showers are what you’d expect, a little on the dirtier side but it’s a gym shower so, don’t expect anything crazy clean. The lockers and restrooms themselves are spacious. Only issue I have with the gym side of things is they’re occasionally out of paper to clean the machines with but other than that, amazing!

Has an excellent Turf S&C class with Joey! Joey kept the pace up and was great at going around the class and helping people who were struggling which is something you don’t often see done right in a lot of places but Joey was nailing doing this perfectly! Also loved how there were a lot of people but there was still enough space to see his instructions and the fellow classmates also were super helpful with clarifying directions. Would happily do again!

HIT was awesome!! So many options, such great equipment, really purposeful in aiding people towards highest wellness. I took cycling with Rachel... Rachel was an excellent coach! She was compassionate, as I am returning from a hip replacement, knowledgeable, and motivational! The class was exciting and just the right amount of challenging! Can't wait to return!! And I took the strength and conditioning class with Ross...Ross was encouraging, knowledgeable, kind, and super helpful! I'm returning to movement from a hip replacement and wasn't sure I'd survive the S & C class, but he was great - cheers for me and gave great options. Awesome workout and fun music with a great coach!

I can’t recommend HIT Athletic enough, especially the rhythm cycling classes with Rachel and Alexis! They’re an amazing team—both bring their own energy and style to each class, making every workout challenging and fun. Their classes are choreographed to keep you moving to the beat, and they make every ride feel like a high-energy, motivating dance party. Their classes are a great blend of intensity and fun, and I always leave feeling accomplished.

Permanently locked out because I spent a couple hours on my laptop for a work issue that came up on my way to the gym. So don't use the wifi I guess. Not for paying customers. Also it's tiny and busy, which is fine, but they're also a mess with their storage. I'm glad I won't return. Other locations are cleaner and don't have ridiculous policies about their wifi. This lack of consistency is why I will cancel my AF membership altogether.

I really enjoy this gym. John, Irina, and Christian are all friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. It always feels great to be greeted by them. They are always helping someone or cleaning. This gym is SO CLEAN (that's a huge selling point for my partner and myself). The music is chill and not too loud. It's usually calm and not too crowded when I go (not during am/pm rush). I feel left alone, which I enjoy... but never lonely. Glad to be a member here 💗

The equipment is great, as is the ‘round the clock access. Most of the people are cool. Cleanliness could use some work, as could staff and trainer professionalism. There is one weird bald trainer in particular, Mike, who puts his business’s stickers on all the equipment and larps as a Viking. I don’t know if he is still there, but he always hung around with his girlfriend. On a few occasions he would interrupt my workout to randomly throw shade and then try to offer his services after insulting me. It’s a good gym, but some extra cleaning and standards of professional conduct for staff and trainers would go a long way. I enjoyed working out here, but ultimately ended up investing in my own home gym after the issues above. I’ll check it out again in the future and possibly get some day passes (and amend my review) if things have improved.

I liked this gym the instant I walked in the door. Every piece of equipment you need to get strong and build an amazing physique is here. The reception people are friendly and helpful; and the regular gym members are respectful, polite, and willing to help. It’s also very clean, well maintained, and organized. This is a gym for people who are motivated to exercise and improve themselves. The drop in rate of $5 is a super deal, and I took advantage of it for months until I committed to a membership. My favorite option is their paid in full plan, which is sold in time blocks. Also, the owner is an awesome guy. I think he owns Iron Forge gym in Round Rock as well. That is a really cool gym too. Highly recommended.

The only gym in Austin that lives up to its name. Eat big, lift heavy, to get bigger. The community is A+++ and the owners are regularly present and actually build rapport with their members. There are few places you can feel safe, seen, heard, and strong and even fewer places where you can learn, teach, enrich and grow…. And it’s all part of the Big Tex way.
