The staff are very good and friendly, the environment is clean and hygienic. If the business hours were an hour longer, it might be better. I usually work too late, so I rush to exercise every time I go there.👍

This PF is the nicest I have been in. It seems fairly new. It is very clean The equipment is new. This PF is a little smaller floor plan than most, so it is very convenient and efficient to go through your workout. I highly recommend this Planet Fitness.

Great, friendly staff. Perfect for what I need in a gym and within walking distance which is a plus. No free parking offered but there is a parking garage right across the street for $1 an hour. By far my favorite Planet Fitness!

Probably my favorite planet fitness. I have been to quite a few planet fitness locations but this one has the most amenities and nicest workers. There are plenty of machines, free weights, pull up bars, and other equipment. After over a year of going here, all of the above is the same.

By far the best location and the best members of any gym in State College. It’s right downtown, free parking, and has everything you need wether you’re just starting your fitness journey or are a competitive weight lifter!

Your classic old school serious lifting gym. No frills or fancy BS equipment. Love the various membership options (day, week, month, or month to month). Makes this gym one of the most accommodating in State College. There are some cons. A lot of the weights/bars are covered in rust and need to be replaced. Rubber plates are beat to heck and severely damaged.

support local businesses! such a great vibe at this gym, from the friendly staff to the classic feel you get from working out here. they have so much to offer, from tanning, to crossfit, and enough weights and machines for everyone. there's even an octagon fighting ring! you won't find that at any other gym. as for cleanliness and covid-19 regulations they do an outstanding job. i highly recommend

The equipment is old and dirty. If a machine breaks they don’t fix it. Bathrooms are gross. If you care about lighting while you workout then DO NOT pay for this place. To top it off you get charged for an extra month if you don't cancel 30 days before the next bill. So since I cancelled 4th instead of the 1st I am paying for the whole next month too. This info about cancellation is tucked in a nice quiet little corner at the bottom of their website. This place is a racket.

Most of the equipment here is dated and needs to be repaired. The staff are sometimes friendly, but they remain at the desk and are not ever on the floor to offer feedback or assistance to patrons. Machines are often broken down, a few new items have been added just recently, including lots of free weights, but the most used equipment is never maintained and often out of order. It's one of the more affordable gyms in town if you don't pay for anything extra, but it wouldn't call it q hood value.

Dirty gym. As a former D1 athlete I can certainly say this gym misses most bare minimum expectations. I bought a 1 month membership to try it out and happened to get COVID and missed a large portion of the month. I asked the desk multiples times if they could be courteous and either give me some refund or another month so I could at least get money worth. After emails and phone calls to them I finally got answered and was told they would call back soon (they never called). So besides having poor management — the weights, benches, machines, mats all have holes and rust. It’s a sore sight to the eye and I’m not sure a single piece of equipment is in the 2000s era. Let alone you’re smashed together next to one another because how tight the gym space is. And if you have any questions about the gym or of the sorts… don’t bother asking the front desk. They just sit on the sofa and say “uhhh I don’t know”. 0/5

I go here especially for the Les Milles classes. The instructors here are friendly and great! The space they have for the classes is full of mirrors which can be a pro or con depending on preferences.

About three years ago I joined this gym because they have daycare for my daughter. The facility is small, but has all the basics I need for my workout. The staff is really friendly. The new manager (Scotti) is awesome. I love Fernanda's Yoga -- she's amazing!!!

I started training in boxing and Muay Thai one year ago at Lombard MMA, and have progressed from the beginners classes into the advanced classes. The gym has given me a community outside of the stresses of grad school, and a healthy outlet. I'd wanted to try out MMA for a while but had been too intimidated as a female who is relatively weak and non-confrontational. However, I felt safe enough to try MMA out at Lombard because there are other women in classes at all levels, and Coach Bruce makes a real effort to make everyone feel welcome and encourage community. Try out a beginner class, you'll be surprised how quickly you can learn a cool skill, how strong your body can become, and how welcome you feel.

I have been going here for over a year. What started as a casual trial class turned into an intrinsic part of my routine. I went up from the beginner to advanced class over the year in both boxing and Muay Thai. For someone with zero prior martial arts experience, the learning curve was steep but I had amazing coaches like Bruce and Dan along the way. The community is also great there where I’ve made some great friends and you also get help from the more experienced members. The prices are also very nice for students! Please don’t be intimidated to try your first free class and get a feel of this amazing facility and community.

Great people, great vibes, great training. Awesome environment to have fun and learn at the same time. I had a blast right from my first class - and I started from total zero, no martial arts background. It's such a welcoming, encouraging environment that I jumped right in with boxing, muay thai, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and kickboxing. I'm getting better, and best of all, I'm loving every minute.

I trained at Lombard MMA starting in high school and kept going into college. Bruce is a great coach, really cares about his students, and makes a welcoming and friendly environment for everyone. If you want a good coach to learn martial arts skills from or just a fun gym to work out at with a great community, I would highly recommend.

I have been training at LombardMMA for around 2 years. When I started, I had virtually no experience. Compared to other MMA gyms, the staff is patient and will pay the same amount of attention to someone who just joined and those who have been coming to the gym for years. This constant attention and coaching allowed me to become competent enough to join the LombardMMA coaching staff myself. In addition to technical development, the classes at LombardMMA provide an excellent way to improve fitness. Training here prepared me well for the physical challenges of Marine Corps Officer Candidates School. Regardless of your background or goals, LombardMMA has something to offer everyone!

I joined Anytime Fitness, and I couldn't be happier with my experience. The gym features a wide range of equipment that’s always well-maintained. Also, the staff is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and always ready to help with advice or support. Anytime Fitness provides a welcoming environment where I feel challenged yet supported and fosters a motivating community atmosphere. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to enhance their fitness journey!

Place is outdated with old Precor equipment and very limited space. There are some amazing Anytime Fitness locations that I have been to and this is not one of them. Also completely overpriced for a gym in the area considering what you get. Bring on Crunch Fitness!! Even the Planet Fitness downtown offers more, now that they have squat racks and free weights.

I travel a lot and use Anytime fitness wherever I go. This is hands down one of the best I have been to :) It’s quiet, rarely crowded, clean and they have most everything you could need equipment-wise. To top it off the staff are really wonderful people. State College is where I grew up and I feel so fortunate this gym is here. I look forward coming each time I’m back!

Went for a quick workout while visiting State College. A couple cages for squatting, a deadlift platform and a few cable stacks. Plenty of dumbbells. Wasn’t too busy on a Saturday afternoon. Showers and restrooms were tidy. Vending machine with snacks and energy drinks. For a classic bodybuilding workout this place definitely does the trick. Community seems nice with plenty of advertisements for classes, meal prep and different events.

It’s been my favorite gym so far in this town. I travel a lot so it is nice and very convenient to access any other gyms in the country. The staff is very friendly and approachable. The gym is always clean. This gym is never packed and there is always room to do my workouts and use the machines. I love going to this gym. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ It is a 5 stars for me!

I have been a member at Northclub for 4 months and have been happy with the experience, the equipment while not the newest is fully functional and gets fixed quickly on the rare occasion it does get broken. The location is also a huge plus for me, extremely convenient if you are in the Park Forest neighborhood. The staff has always been friendly but went above and beyond today. I noticed that someone had backed into my truck when I got home, and so I went to see if the cameras at the gym had caught anything. I worked with Dayna who was super helpful/ friendly. She immediately looked back on the cameras for me, and all while entertaining my six year old who decided to play 100 questions with her. Ultimately, the accident didn’t happen there, but I was super impressed with the customer service, and would recommend them to anyone based on that alone!!!

Not Angry im just a little confused. When joined i specifically said to the desk lady Veronica that it was to use the wifi, seating, sauna & shower after my long shift at work and i got a "Oh yeah thats fine" in response. And go there after work last night and got locked out and checked my email and it said: "Good afternoon Quenton, We are reaching out to let you know that we have refunded $50 for your August dues payment, to the card that you have on file. Unfortunately, we must cancel your membership with the North Club. We are unable to have members use the front lobby as a place to sleep or reside. We have received feedback from members that they are uncomfortable with that as well. Thank you for your understanding, Veronica" I read the tos and i didn't break anything, i didn't misbehave. But yet i was mislead when i signed up and now feel taken advantage of.

Friendly staff, clean and well-ventilated changing rooms with shower. I only go there for racquetball so I can’t tell how good other equipment is. This’s probably the only place to play racquetball in State College if you don’t have access to Penn State’s IM building. The racquetball court is okay, the hardwood floor could use some maintenance I think. Unlimited racquetball-only pass is $30/month as of August 2020.

Always an amazing experience at SCSC. Learned a multitude of new things about weightlifting that I’ve applied to my everyday workout routine. Definitely a great environment to commit to the grind and keep working on bettering myself and my fitness goals. Recommend to anyone who is new to fitness or wants to expand their training to a higher level. Bryan is the man with the plan🙌🏾

I have known the owner, Bryan, for a long time and wanted to share that this is a top tier gym with the highest level of professionalism the fitness industry offers. They are a cut above all other gyms in the area. If you are looking for long term solutions to your health, wellness, and fitness go check out State College S & C.

As a weightlifter, traveling can make it difficult to find a gym. Mostly because some gyms won’t accommodate drop ins who do their own program. But CrossFit Nittany went above and beyond that standard. They made it easy for me to come and do my thing. The coaches are extremely friendly. And they have an extremely clean gym. After some conversations with the coaches, I found they are true professionals; coaches with real education and experience. So if you’re dropping in like me, or want CrossFit, I see no better place to go in the area.

Some gyms are intimidating, with sinewy athletes and ultra fit staff manning the equipment. Yes, there are amazing athletes here, but they are friendly, inviting and supportive of anyone - even someone just trying the place out for the first time! I attended two full-length mid-day training sessions and was so impressed with the level of attention and positive reinforcement. No doubt, you will work out your frustrations and put in sweat-equity. The atmosphere is not polished but very funtional. The equipment is clean and current, but not flashy. Weightlifting and personal training is done in a separate room and restrooms are more than adequate. The owner and staff really know what they're doing. The base price is what you would expect to pay for the quality of the staff. I would recommend CrossFit Nittany to anyone who is serious about working toward a fitness goals and having fun!
