I went to this gym over the weekend with a friend who was a member. The staff there were unprofessional. The front desk person was upset I didn’t fill out a waiver before coming. It was a spur of the moment idea and I figured they had forms for me to fill out there, which they did. After we filled out the paperwork needed we asked the team if that’s all that was needed. We were ignored, we asked a second time and they rolled their eyes and said no… and went over proper fall guidelines etc. Filling out a form and going over safety measures is expected, but the poor attitude from the staff is not. I’ve been a member at Vertical world, and momentum here in the Seattle area, and numerous other gyms in different cities. I haven’t had this experience at any other gym. Overall the routes are fun, and there’s plenty of space. The gym itself is fine. But I would recommend going somewhere else that welcomes a more fun environment!

I love this place…but over $100 a month is not justified when they have this many members. You have to wait to use any space in the gym or a wall from 4pm on every day. Nearby gyms cost less and are more spacious. Quite literally the weights run out and you have to step over people to get to the other side of the gym. SBP, I highly recommend you better use your space. You have a lot of unused space throughout the gym. For example, the basement stairs area. People rarely use the light board. The kids area is not often used and it is nearly as large as the entire weights area. I think if you better layout your space you can better accommodate your members and make your gym even more awesome!

Great gym. Love the sets here. All the routes are always so fun and challenging. The range setting really encourages me to try routes I wouldn’t think to. No one at the front desk is very friendly here but it’s a great gym none the less. I’ve taken several classes and the instructors were all very helpful. Milo and some guy named Alex or maybe Derek I don’t remember. Very informative.

It's pretty stingy to not let members use their 2 free guest passes per month how they like. Now you can only bring one particular person once every 30 days. So you still get 2 passes but it's super regulated and I am unclear on the reason why other than what appears to be pure greed. Climbing there is fun though so if you don't mind that the whole pricing structure is set up to take advantage of the customer (making you pay them a whole month even if you're injured, busy, or ill and literally can't climb, yes you can get a doctors note but come on what is this, middle school?) then it is worth it. Just to clarify, if you happen to get injured on the 27th of a month you're already too late to cancel for the next month but if you are injured on the 26th then you only miss out on the last days of the month. Unless you have the extra time and pray that your doctor has an appointment right away and will write you a note. They claim this is to make it "easier" on their staff but they just made it harder on their staff trying to track non members using an SBP members free guess pass to attend the gym more than once per 30 days. So if it helps SBP it's okay for their staff to do some extra work, but if it helps the customers to not be paying during times they can't even use the gym then they claim it's too much work. Convenient...Also not being able to freeze a pre bought year of membership is another massive show that they do not care about their customers but don't need to. They make enough money to alienate long term members and be fine. Part of becoming a corporate money maker I guess. I don't even really have a problem with the massive price hikes since it's so popular, but I don't like how they have it set up so that they are getting money from people who aren't even able to use their gym if they are injured, ill, or some other emergency comes up. But I think the gyms themselves are really fun and so is the climbing. The staff has always been friendly. And with 4 gyms in Seattle you can never complain about the amount of new routes. This place would get an easy 5 stars if I felt their pricing was more fair to the customer.

Amazing GM and staff. Working with Phil and Sky was exceptional and it’s clear that they genuinely care about creating a positive and supportive environment. I have been looking for the right gym for the past 3 years since moving to Seattle and I have tried a number of places. All I can say that no one made me feel as comfortable, excited, and welcomed as Phil and Sky did. Phil gave me the tour of the gym and we chatted about my goals and motivation for joining. Phil clearly had a ton of experience and as we talked, I felt he genuinely prioritized my goals and concerns. He took the time to help me figure out the best plan moving forward so I could feel comfortable, confident, and knowledgeable in the gym (and without breaking the bank). They offer some really amazing promotions as well as a very long free trial period, but I never felt pushed or pressured to sign up - unlike at other gyms I’ve tried. The Wallingford location has a truly positive and supportive vibe. If you’re like me and feel intimidated or overwhelmed by big gym environments, I highly recommend talking to Phil and he will make sure you’re taken care of! If I could give 6 stars, I absolutely would

I have been going to this gym for almost 10 years. Their champions program is a great weekly program and can be scaled to any level. I have seen this program grow and change and is a good mix of exercises. This program will help you get comfortable with all movements and if you want, other olympic lifts. The gym has recently added boxing program, led by Coach Wes. This has been a great add on to my weekly routine. It is it bit more cardio intensive but worth it. I have enjoyed my time here and the coaches and staff are great.

Very interesting place. Went there a few times, no issues, then suddenly my pass stopped working. Turns out they revoked my pass because I’m on a corporate “ insurance “ program. Didn’t even notify me of this until I had to call. An email could have gone a long way, could have saved me a hassle of going there only to found out I can’t go in. Unsure how these franchises work but alright. Lesson learned for next time

recently relocated to the Seattle area and proud to have this location as my new permanent location. although the gym is small in size, it’s mighty. there is a lot of high quality and updated equipment available and it’s not too overcrowded(my personal favorite aspect). I recently found out about the ability to access another popular gym nearby at half the cost of my membership here. of course wanting to save money, I gave it a try (also primarily because the other gym has a sauna). the experience there was incompatible with my daily experience at this location. I still kept the other membership to use the sauna when needed but continue to use my this location for my primary workouts! the price is more then local gyms but you get what you pay for. it all comes down to if you feel your health and wellness journey is worth the investment or not.

Great gym and staff. Sean, Avery, Jacky, and Haley are super friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The Fremont location is smaller but has most of the equipment you need. Love the personal gym training session included with your membership. This gym is super clean with cleaning supplies practically at every machine. Always happy to come to this location.

Great layout especially for the space. Currently, you have to reserve a time slot ahead of time and once you get there they check your temperature (Edit: this is no longer the case). Lots of climbing space and storage cubbies especially with the limited capacity and requirement to reserve 1 1/2 hour time slots ahead of your visit. There is are a good variety of excellent problems as expected for SBP. If this wasn't a satellite of the main Fremont gym it could be seen as a bit overpriced at $18 for a day visit, but hopefully once things are able to be opened fully it is easy to go between this satellite and the main gym.

This is a great spot for more problems if the main Fremont Seattle Bouldering Project is crowded, or if you need to switch it up—it’s just around the corner. I’ve found it to be less crowded in general here, and if you go during the day on weekdays, you can sometimes get it to yourself. It’s so great to have 3 different SBP locations now. This one is just climbing—no workout equipment or workout areas.

Keeps going downhill. The setting pretty bad unless you like all comp style. (All the good setters don’t want to work for a big chain). Holds are all greasy because it’s so busy and they don’t reset enough. They changed their guest pass policy so you can’t bring the same friend twice. Super lame.

Upper Walls has a different layout than the other Seattle Bouldering Project gyms. This facility is located a walk up the road from Fremont and only offers bouldering. There are no workout areas or boards. However, the arrangement here has seating in the center of the room and is great for resting. Would recommend going to Poplar or Fremont but if those gyms are busy than give this one a climb!

So glad for another climbing gym on the north side! Climbing is getting ever more popular and the gyms are pretty crowded during prime hours after work on weekdays. This is the fourth bouldering project in Seattle and very conveniently located near both bus and light rail. The gym is large, modern, and what you would expect from the new wave of gyms. There are two floors of climbing with the main floor having a small section of climbing and a workout area and the second floor holding much more climbing. A few things keep me from being able to give this place five stars. Namely the lack of training boards which I feel every serious climbing gym should have these days and the workout area feels very small and not well thought out. There was a pull up bar but it's been removed and there are only a few hang boards (and not even the popular ones) which are mounted quite high and require a stool for most people. There also doesn't seem to be much support for off the wall training with a lack of weights and belts for weighted hands, no rice buckets, and zero no hang devices. The plastic PVC pipes for warming up are also really short and don't offer much resistance the way the wood ones do at their other locations. The walls are also really close to each other and it can feel hazardous to climb or even stand between some of them when people are on them. Overall I think the gym is a fine addition and conveniently located for public transit but not a gym serious climbers looking to train will be able to frequent. Parking nearby is also very hard and I would not recommend driving.

I’m so excited for this to be near UW! Was a little bit hot inside but I love the old bank vault aesthetic and it is super large. They turned the bank vault into a sauna which is interesting. Edit: I have been going semi regularity and they have fixed their hvac system!

I'm happy for all the college kids that now have a convenient place to climb, but in my opinion if you're over the age of 21 this isn't the best gym for you. I was very stressed the whole time with large groups of college kids goofing off, being loud, hogging the walls, and climbing way too close to others. I think this gym could strongly benefit from more staff supervision, like having someone regularly walk through the building to make sure people are actually being safe

Beautiful and modern bouldering gym. I like the routes more here than at Fremont - they feel a bit more technically challenging. (I recommend Fremont or Poplar if you are a total beginner.) Free street parking is a 5-10 mins walk away, but it can be challenging to find in the evening hours.

I love the University District and Meredith Matthews locations!! It’s not too crowded so you don’t have to wait around to use the equipment. The classes are led by great instructors who are knowledgeable and willing to answer your individual questions. A big selling point for me (and I’m sure others) is that ANYONE can feel comfortable working out here. For one thing, you don’t have to be fit to feel like you belong here (although I see super fit people here too). Another plus - the staff are friendly and very accommodating! Highly recommend!

I cannot rave about this place enough! The staff is unlike any YMCA I have ever been to. You want staff? You get a FAMILY! They are so willing to help out and give assistance and sometimes even do it without asking. The equipment is top of the line and the group classes are so fun! Not only are they fun, but they are structured in a way where you are still getting an incredible workout. I would give my left arm for this gym. It is a bright light in the overcasted and cloudy Seattle. Look no further because this place is the place you've been looking for. They also offer financial assistance for prices!

Seems like a pretty good place for me, so far. A basic gym with lots of machines and programs. Have to clean anything you touch & sweat upon, as the staff won't be doing it. Really wish they'll get water filters for the showers soon -- I don't going to work on my health somewhere then have to shower with chlorinated/fluoridated/toxicated water. Dry sauna is small and gets crowded and too humid, but at least they have one. The crowd is a broad spectrum of people -- not intimidating.

Great gym. Hidden gem in Georgetown. The vibe here could not be more welcoming. It’s like a really cool family. Coaches are top notch. I’ve been weight training at 777 for over a year with Taylor, the owner. Her programming really works for me and I’ve had great results. I get super personal coaching that has pushed me as an athlete, but in a safe, methodical approach. I’d recommend this gym to anyone.

I absolutely adore everything about 777! From the vibrant staff to the wonderful members, it's been a welcoming journey since I joined in April 2021. Everyone greeted me with such warmth and enthusiasm! Thanks to the incredible coaches who are not just skilled but also incredibly supportive, I've seen a remarkable boost in my strength and endurance. Starting with no clue about CrossFit, I've not only discovered its effectiveness but also found my fitness family. It truly feels like home! 😊

This is my favorite gym! As a more quiet person, and not extremely athletic, I am so nervous stepping into new gym spaces and communities. I had no reason to worry here! The coaches and staff are there to help you reach any goal, no matter how big or small. And the other athletes are the most encouraging group of people. You can tell that everyone at this gym loves the community they’ve created, and I’m so happy to be a part of it!

I’m so thankful to have joined this gym after my old one closed! I was really struggling to reestablish my workout routine while things were so unpredictable during the pandemic, and the supportive coaches and members at 777 have helped me find my new ‘home’ and the inspiration to show up several times a week. Everyone is really welcoming to new folks, and every level of athlete is welcome here. I appreciate the diversity here, and that it does actually feel like a big extended family. PS don’t miss the holiday party, it’s a total blast!! 💃🏻🪩

I recently visited Planet Fitness in Rainier Beach and found the experience quite satisfying. The facility is exceptionally clean, with an attentive staff that ensures the environment remains welcoming and orderly. While everything generally meets expectations, there’s always room for minor improvements to enhance the overall experience further. Nonetheless, it’s a great space to work out, and I genuinely enjoy my visits without encountering any significant issues.

The go-to club for communicable disease. Recommend fishing waders to access toilets and urinals across the urine soaked floors. Plenty of free Q-tips on the floor, another benefit of the upgraded black membership, tip: consider rinsing between users. more than satisfactory collection of clothes and shredded papers on the floor if one needs to nest. This despite 4 separate requests to maybe run a mop and broom over the place, although I dare say the 4 front desk employees appeared to be fully proficient iPhone social media surfers. Update, even after my complaint to the health dept, sanitary conditions are unchanged.

I recently quit my gym on Capitol Hill due to a price increase, which didn't make sense given the condition of the gym. I hadn’t been to a gym in about three years before signing up, mostly sticking to my apartment gym. So, I was a little anxious about getting back into a larger gym setting. I used to lift regularly, and the idea of starting over felt slightly intimidating. That said, I’ve been really impressed with how welcoming and supportive the staff has been. Dallas, who’s been helping me, has been fantastic - always answering my questions and checking in on my progress. The rest of the staff is equally great! I’ve been to other gyms like LA Fitness, but the personal, genuine interaction here really sets this place apart. Thanks y'all!
