Best Gyms with Free Weights near Savannah, Georgia

By far best Planet Fitness !! All new top of the line machines, tanning beds/stand up etc. Extremely clean and amazing staff who are friendly and knowledgeable including AHMYA, KODA, GARY, SANAA, HEATHER and the manager D'ANGELO. I've included pictures but you have to see in person the spacious, modernness of this gym. Way more than 5 stars. I highly recommend this Planet fitness!!!!

Just signed up, very nice clean location. The guy with the dreads at the desk was very friendly and helped me sign up. He has great customer service! Love the new location being a lot closer to Richmond Hill instead of having to go to Sandfly Planet Fitness. Looking forward to working out at this guy 🏋️💪

No complaints about the equipment, facility, or amenities. However, the misinformation and communication from employees is very off putting and deceiving. I was told conflicting information when opening my membership account from staff and was told that I would be able to pause/cancel my membership as pleased which is why I decided on this gym. I even confirmed twice with employee cause I’ve heard of the hassle that comes along with the pause/cancel process. However, when time comes around attempting to pause membership, I was told that I was not able to. I’m sure there is some small print note in the pages long contract that I did not read word for word to catch the disclaimer (so partially my fault). But still felt like I was manipulated into opening an account with gym (even if that was not the staffs intention).

two days without being there I hope they discount my membership this always happens in these places and the other open gyms I will have to change to crunch they are always open they know that this is a discipline

Tracy, the manager, and Wayne, the trainer, are very POOR examples of how a gym should run. I went in for 2 weeks trying to get in touch with someone. There is never anybody there during the times listed. You can not even leave a voicemail. I called the corporate office and explained this situation and told them I had disabilities and wanted someone to help me with a routine. (Which I was willing to pay for) After talking to the corporate office, they both reached out and asked when would be a good time to set up an appointment. I responded to both of them. Now it's been a week, and there's been no response. So if anyone has any kind of disability find another gym because Anytime Fitness does not want anything to do with you!!!

FYI, if you're a gym fanatic please read. This is the smallest anytime fitness I have ever been to. They don't have a trainer on site or at least when I'm there, which is during peak hours. They only have one stair master but a whole lot of thread mills and elliptical machines. They have a tire on the turf area but its makes no sense to try using it because the area is very small. The battle rope is the light one that you pickup in walmart (ridiculous). The ac vent needs cleaning. However, the bathroom is always clean. This can become a better gym if they expanded the space, get more stair masters have a trainer on site or even have HIIT classes and have staff who are familiar with how all the machines are operated.

TLDR: decent gym if you live close, other wise take your business to a gym who actually cares and takes pride in their facility! EDIT from owner comments: very excited to hear about the proposed enhancements. Though your response doesn’t actually respond to what I was stating. No, a maintenance tech would easily have been able to fix the one cable that was broken for months. Ace hardware has everything you’d have needed. No supply chain issues to blame. Second, the benches you purchased were one of the issues as those were the faulty Best Buy benches! I wasn’t stating that “I can’t share equipment” I was explaining that there isn’t enough weight plates for 3 moderately strong individuals to workout at once. — I am happy to update this review after basic maintenance occurs and basic gym equipment is available for use. EDIT EDIT- the owner reached out to me via FB to argue and insult me calling me a ‘keyboard warrior’ instead of attempting to learn about my complaint and potentially fix it. Immature and sad. This gym is perfect if you live very close. Unfortunately it seems the owners don’t care about maintaining quality here. Machines are broken for months at a time when it’s a simple fix. Nothing ever gets reupholstered. Once a year everyone pays a $30(?) annual “equipment enhancement fee” after this go around they bought 1 treadmill. Albeit one of the cool assault runner treadmills that I have to admit I use and love however, assuming 500+ members they had over $15k to play with. Seems they took a large bonus instead of maintaining equipment in desperate need or adding additional equipment like a hack squat, new barbells, heavier dumbbells, more weight plates, more attachments handles/fixing them, purchasing bands. Or even more collars since they only have 2 working good pairs! This gym is incredibly convenient for me. I have to pass it to go to another gym which is the only reason we still have a membership here. Please, if you are reading this understand that I want this gym to be better and I want to take pride in my gym! It’s simply difficult to with the perceived lack of interest in your business. Attached are some photos showing what I’m talking about. One (1 of the 3 total barbells) of the barbells was literally filed to change the knurling and is now sharp and a liability! They bought cheap benches that Best Buy sells for home gyms and they weren’t put together probably and pins were slipping while using it. They seem to think a liability waiver keeps them safe from faulty and unmaintained equipment. Please buy better equipment and more, more barbells, more weights. During peak times it’s difficult to find enough weights!

Too pricey for the product they are offering and the staff is not engaging. The one girl that was working there that I spoke to had a blah attitude. Note to owner: If you want people to sign up get staff that makes people excited to come there. I drive further to workout at a gym where the staff actually tries and treats me like a valued member.
