We love Fins Swim Academy @ Spa 23 and my daughter's instructor Brian! He taught her the advanced strokes and continues to perfect her form now that she is 10 years old. He is the best coach - disciplined, patient, and enthusiastic about the sport. His ability to customize the lesson to meet the student's needs in real time is impressive and a quality I most appreciate as I count on him every spring to condition Alexandra for surf camp in the summer, including teaching her water safety for swimming in the ocean. It's a tremendous workout but he makes it fun. She won't miss a lesson b/c of him!

I have 2 children who have taken swim lessons from Coach Brian for approximately 4 years. Coach Brian has been a great coach and positive influence on both my children. His leadership and coaching style has led to my children becoming confident and capable swimmers. Swimming is more than a sport it’s a necessary survival skill that cannot be taken lightly. I highly recommend Coach Brian as I trust his skills and knowledge instructing his students in the water. Respectfully, Wayne

I have had a fantastic experience at Fins Swim Academy at Spa 23! The facility is very welcoming and the staff is incredibly friendly. One of the swim instructors, Samantha, makes every lesson enjoyable while effectively building confidence in the water. Her patience and enthusiasm really sets her apart. Highly recommend for anybody looking to improve their child’s swim skills!

Been going here for over ten years and have seen the changes during that time. The positives - -Management renovated the pool and locker room areas. -Also renovated the steam room. -Removed the raquetball court and made better use of the space. -Installed some new lounge area recently (will see what that's all about). -Staff has been very friendly, but I notice a decent amount of turnover. The negatives - -They charge a yearly service fee on top of your membership. -WHEN will members get back the 24 hour access or at least access up until 12 midnight?! This was a big selling point why I originally joined and for what I am paying this still would be a big reason for me to stay - when comparing to other gyms. -Kid swim classes and private parties and pool maintenance take precedence and intrude over members during stated gym hours. This is very annoying. Chlorinate the pool after gym hours. I'm paying to be there - honor your contract. -Either fix the lockers or replace them! Management should never have ripped out the original perimeter locker seating for those benches. Less space for everyone. The lockers are form the 70's and the locks seize up half the time. -Upstairs bathroom is ALWAYS locked. WTF? Why do I have to run down to the locker room? -Fix the steam room sensor once and for all so idiots can't mess with it - mount it on the ceiling out of reach! -Although upgrades have been done (see above) no attention is paid to keeping things running/looking right. Very often you have to complain.

My son takes private lessons with coach Brian at the FINS Swim Academy here at Spa 23. Brian is fantastic. He is a top tier swim coach. He is impressive with his skills in getting my son to listen and focus. He is kind and patient and understands children and knows how to get them to engage in the lessons. My son has been with coach Brian for, I believe, 2 years now, and he has been a great. I have sense of peace now that my son has learned how to swim and really enjoys it, too... Thank you, Brian!
