Place is clean , staff is knowledgeable. Equipment is all in pretty good shape. The new pieces of equipment are really nice. Wish they went back to 24 hrs. Put in a key fob system. But other than that love it there.

My husband and I are both 80 plus. This place is our happy place to keep in shape. The staff is wonderful and the whole gym is very clean and accepting of older folks.

Deceptive business practices ! 0 stars if I could! Cancelled my membership and was told specifically in person that I would not be charged another month of fees and I get my email confirmation later that day after leaving and surprise surprise I am getting charged another month. I called to speak to the person and ask for a manager and no one would admit it was them and “that person” misspoke. Gym is dirty and smells, cleaning is not enforced and I would not return regardless of being charged another month, not setting another foot in it.

The staff is awful here. They do not correct members who talk on their phones in the workout area. They do not refill the paper towels. Many times, I let the staff know, and the interaction is as follows. Three staff members standing at the counter chatting, throwing paper balls into the trash, and staring at their phones. I mention that there are no paper towels in one or two dispensors, and they stare at me like a holographic. With an influx of new members, the gym is often crowded, and the staff will not train or teach new members proper gym edic. Weights left all over, never out back in the same location, no wiping off of used equipment, the buildings roof is always leaking which the staff then responds with further public safety hazards by putting unmarked buckets on the wet floors around the gym. People slamming weights and no staff say anything. Laziest generation I have seen, and no accountability. Shameful that management can not train their staff or hold members accountable for misusing the gym space that other members pay to use.

This gym doesn’t get enough recognition considering its 24hrs and its spacious. If it wasn’t such a drive for me I would’ve considered moving membership years ago. Staff is easygoing and provide smoothies which is a great for an after treat. There’s plenty of equipment that you need to work out. Bathrooms are clean and have bright lighting. You have your own scanner they should allow you access to the gym. Less cardio machines but this gym targets more weight training/ body building.

I absolutely love this gym. I’ve been a member for just over 2 years now and I’ve seen nothing but improvements since I joined; Adding additional gym sections like a room dedicated to legs, another that has primarily compound lift equipment, and even a posing room. The environment is broad enough that beginners and professionals can train together, the staff is friendly and never tries to sell you unnecessary things, the cafe has excellent variety and tasty drinks, and it’s the kind of place that you can’t help but recommend to your friends who are tired of planet fitness. My sincere thanks to Nick, Shad, Megan and the rest of the incredible staff (I forget all the names!).

This gym is honestly the best around! Amazing facility, lots of different equipment and great environment! The staff is always so friendly and welcoming! Excellent training by Hannah, continuously pushing me towards my goals. Not to mention they have a cafe with delicious protein shakes, smoothies, coffee and so much more! The fact that they are expanding just goes to show how much members love this place!

Empire Athletics offers excellent equipment and 24-hour access, making it an ideal gym for those serious about improving themselves. The overall vibe is focused and motivating, with everyone working hard toward their goals. However, the music could use improvement, as it often consists of repetitive remixes and older songs. While the air conditioning remains subpar, the leaks in the main gym have been resolved. Among the staff, Meg, Jill, Robby, Shad, Jocelyn, and Cass stand out for their friendliness, consistently greeting members. Unfortunately, other staff members often look up when I walk in but quickly turn away. Additionally, the social media representative in July was unprofessional in responding to my previous review, and they could benefit from better customer service skills. Overall, Empire Fitness is still the best gym in the Leominster and Fitchburg area and is highly recommended for serious lifters.

I’ve tried most of the local gyms and I like this the most by far. During the pandemic, I didn’t cancel my membership because if this went under, I couldn’t tolerate going to the other gyms. This review is 99% using strength equipment. If you’re looking for cardio or sauna reviews, this ain’t it. • The lighting in other gyms is nauseatingly bright. I go to relax, not feel like I’m in a hospital. The lighting here is just right. They renovated their lighting years ago and it was a huge concern of mine I spoke to them about but it didn’t happen. One gym was both too dark and too bright; spots you couldn’t see the equipment control panel or spots with lighting directly your eyes while you’re bench pressing. • They swapped their metallic plates years ago to rubber coated grip plates and it’s been a godsend. No more dealing with rust stains from metal plates. No more annoying clanking. • The equipment and machines are spaced far enough apart. Other places, the gear is very crowded and inches away from each other. • Spacious. The building doesn’t feel small or squished. The ceiling is tall enough so the lighting doesn't feel 2 inches above your head. • Choices of thin and thicker barbells. • Music selection is whatever but at least it’s not too loud like other places. • This one could be all in my head but I feel some other gyms, there’s not enough ventilation. • As of posting this, their hours are 4 AM to midnight every day which has also been a godsend as I enjoy going late. It's added flexibility. No more feeling pressured to go before closing.

Although the personnel is quite kind and the air conditioning and cleanliness are wonderful, everything else is fairly awful. The staff hours are also really awful on weekends; they close at 3pm, which is quite upsetting when I'm paying $40 a month and can't use the messaging chairs because I work. The equipment hasn't been upgraded and is honestly outdated; they've had the same machines for the previous year. In general, I would only suggest this gym to first-time users; if you're an experienced user, you're better off going somewhere else.

First time experience: Free trial has to be activated online first or they’ll charge you $15 for a day pass. Communication is poor and as a first time visitor I was ignored by management twice. Training coversations with staff and hiking conversations with other members can continue when there’s not a new member right in front of you. Customer service skills needs some work. Machines are outdated. Groups of senior citizens standing around and leaning against machines having conversations. Other reviews mention it’s difficult to cancel your membership. I’ll pass on this gym and keep looking.

The staff is awful to say the least. There is a lock on the front door that you can only get in if you scan your card. I went to cancel my membership but I forgot my card. Then the staff ignored me until they closed and then told me to go away. I’ve tried to cancel my membership over the phone they don’t allow it. I had to cancel my debit card and then they charged me $50 dollars in debt collection. Long story short they make it as hard as possible to cancel your membership.

I think the equipment, and cleanliness is great but please don’t put people at the front desk that should not be there… It’s the first impression And they should be service oriented and not appear indifferent…pretty put off by my recent experience but the gym itself is fantastic. I understand it’s hard to find people that actually want to work these days but closing at 6pm on Saturday is a bit early. 8 o’clock maybe? Btw, if the person at the front desk was a little more inviting and personable, , I would have given a 5 star rating.
