Best Gyms with Free Weights near Florissant, Missouri

I went here for the first time. Thinking it would be okay to work out. I noticed something right off the bat. Not one station has a towel or a bottle to wipe to down your equipment. I waited and watched as I counted for 45 minutes while I used their treadmill 12 different people, one person out of those 12 wipe down their machine. Overheard me asking about it to a couple employees. The general manager came over. He basically said that they can't force people to wipe down their machines. It's just kind of up to the faith of them. He suggested that I can wipe down the machine though beforehand if I want to. Why should I have to wipe? Somebody's dirty nasty sweat before I get on the machine? This is just GROSS!! I will not be returning.They do not have a cleanliness standard. I would rather pay five dollars every single time to go to the civic center than to come here and know that i'm touching dirty equipment... At least the community center has sanitizer bottles and a towl to wipe down the equipment!!!

I used to be a member about 6 months ago, and came this week because I was thinking of signing back up. This gym has gotten way better than it used to be. It is way cleaner than it used to be, and the staff seem to be way more solid than they were in the past. The manager now also seems to truly care about this place and their job and puts in the effort to make this gym a better place for its members.

This was my first visit at this location and I enjoyed it! Very clean atmosphere 👌 all the equipment worked and the staff was friendly and helpful! I also had a protein smoothie 😋 delicious

The club is generally well-run. I normally don't have to wait for equipment. The price is reasonable for what you get. I've been going to this gym for 10 years and I love working out there.

I have shared a review in the past about how terrible “Kelly” and the staff are at this location! Months later I must reiterate how poorly ran this location is. The staff is disrespectful and they truly go not care about their customers, their experience and their safety. I have been back in to talk to someone and yet again I was met with attitude from “Kelly”. She is a terrible employee and should be relieved of her duties due to her lack of customer service. Since I have reviewed, Club hasn’t made any changes and hasn’t tried to resolve any of my issues. Stay away from this location at all costs! They just want to take your money and not give you what you paid for. Of all the North county locations this is definitely the worst. My name is Brendan M and they are free to reach out to me whenever they want to make things right! But I have a feeling that’s never going to happen!

Visiting from out of town, the parking lot is large enough. If you have a a truck and trailer etc. The outside parking lot is a little sketchy as this is not in the best area of town so don't leave any valuables visible. But once you get inside the gym, the staff is extremely nice, they are walking around and cleaning all the time while we were there on a Tuesday lunch time, was not crowded at all, bathrooms are clean. Machines were clean, nothing was broken. Very good gym to visit.

The facility is great the membership fees are not what's advertised. They say they give vet discounts, staff knows nothing about that. Can't explain how the annual fees changed or any of the billing. I'm not swiping my card each time I visit with a black membership. All good. Club fitness is right down the road and better pricing plus they have classes. Staff was polite and friendly but the shady billing practices aren't for me. Proceed with caution.

I had the chance to do my 34 reset at a truck driver near this planet fitness and I had 3 workouts. I noticed a couple things here. There are some activities going on the parking lot. Don’t leave anything valuable on the car or truck. The gym is not bad. There are a lot of equipment and cardio machines. But the area is sketchy Be careful where you park.

I’ve been to 10+ different PF gyms across St. Louis, MO and Dallas, TX and this is by far my favorite! It’s always clean, never too crowded, and has machines I haven’t found at other gyms.

For myself it is a nice clean friendly environment where I can get my workout in.
