Such a wonderful opportunity this week to take three classes at Arise Yoga! The studio is spacious, comfortable and so inviting! However it is the caliber, warmth and dedication to practice from the staff that stands out the most. Thank you so much!

At the beginning of the summer, I decided to invest in a monthly membership at Arise Yoga, and it the BEST decision I've made in a very long time. Since I can store my mat at the beautiful studio and easily sign up for an array of classes, I have found myself getting into a yoga routine that has eluded me in the past. So far, I have been able to attend 2-3 classes a week, and I feel like a new person. I have now worked with five different teachers, each one so welcoming, clear, and inspiring. Arise Yoga is indeed a gem of Oakland; I am so happy to have joined the community. Jenny (the manager) will make you feel right at home.

Total gem! The studio is beautiful and clean and calm, the staff warm and kind, the teachers experienced and attentive. Both of my children were welcomed to their first in-studio yoga classes with open arms and hearts and they are now big fans. Thank you, Arise team!!

Really enjoyed my first time at Arise. They've created a large and very breezy studio, and the teacher was excellent. Great music, vibe, and super easy sign up process. Excited to join in the community here for a regular practice. I have only sporadically done video yoga classes this past year and was pretty rusty and stiff going in. The teacher offered both challenge and space to pull back and respect where you are now, and she articulated that really clearly. Great instruction, nice attention to alignment, and I'm excited to go again!

Great workout, lovely studio, and I wish I had joined sooner! I must mention that the place is so clean, especially the locker room which is spotless & that is always a big win in my book.

I love the Bar Method! Both the instructors and clients at this studio on Lakeshore are so friendly, welcoming and chill. This is a serious exercise studio, but doesn’t have the pretense or uptight vibes of many I have frequented. I appreciate how approachable, supportive and down to earth everyone is. I have been a member for about 2 years and am truly addicted. I have never felt stronger. My chronic lower back pain has been eliminated by the research-backed, whole body workouts. I love the different formats and highly recommend this workout. Check it out if you’re new to exercise, bored with your routine, recovering from an injury or just wanting some cross training to improve your overall fitness.

Unfortunately I couldn’t take a class here because the owners refused to accommodate my disability. They are a no shoes studio but because of a foot disability I need to wear special orthotics. I brought clean shoes that I wear inside only and explained my disability to them but they refused to accommodate me and I had to leave since I cannot otherwise preform the activities without pain. I’m disappointed because I was excited to take a class here.

I had a lovely experience at this studio today! The instructor and front staff were warm and friendly and the studio was very clean. Went in for the cardio class and came out feeling rejuvenated. Thanks Bar Method Oakland!

I love this studio! I’ve been taking classes for 4+ years at this studio and love how their attention to form and safety has made it possible for me to confidently workout throughout my pregnancies, as well as postpartum. Bar Method is always a challenging, efficient workout and yet also able to accommodate so many different stages of life and ability levels.
