Really disappointed in this studio. I have used class pass for years in Australia and UK to book various classes most days, and had booked a class at this studio at 9.30am while we were travelling to visit family. Arrived at 9.30 and the doors were locked and no one was around. I tired to knock and there was a sign saying you need to download the app to get a code for the door. After fiddling around with this and downloading for 10 minutes, I was then unable to access a code as ClassPass isn’t linked to the app. I tried to call, email and knock on the door but no one answered. We had driven 30 minutes to the studio with our toddler and when we finally were able to speak to someone an hour later when they came to reception to explain what had happened they were very dismissive and said I would have been sent the code via email through ClassPass. The code was right at the bottom of the class confirmed email which no one would see, and it’s confusing that at the door it said you have to download an app. It would have been ok if the staff would have been understanding and polite about it. I asked if I could join the 10.30 class instead as I could see only 4 out of the 15 spots had been booked and we had waited outside for an hour, but they said I would need to pay again and rebook.

I took one class here and do not plan on returning, but not because it wasn’t a great workout. It absolutely was, and the teacher was very welcoming to first-timers. I tried to contact the studio several times and through every avenue possible (phone, email, in person) to ask a question about the class pack I had purchased, and got zero response. They don’t answer the phone, don’t return voicemails, and also didn’t have a receptionist when I came in for class. Yet they will definitely send you automated emails and texts to try to get you back in class. Paying for these workouts isn’t cheap and at the very least you should be able to answer your customers’ questions.

I have taken SolidCore classes in multiple cities. This studio had the best intentions but the music was so loud the instructor was yelling into her microphone to give instructions that were rushed, unclear and barely audible. To create a repeatable base of clients in the fitness industry you have to make newcomers feel welcome and educated. This studio and instructor did neither. It was suggested: take a look around at the seasoned regulars to follow along; in a darkened studio with music that was at levels similar to a concert. Disappointed as this studio gives the brand a bad name.

holy cow. what a great workout. did my first class today with Jessyca and had an amazing time. I can't see any way that this class wouldn't work. It was like Pilates on crack. Jessyca was helpful and patient and a total Godsend as an instructor. Glad I came and I will definitely be back. *** update *** took some of the "community" classes and they were equally as great. Betty was my instructor and she was so great that I am definitely trying to work out with her now that she is teaching regularly. I fractured my tailbone snowboarding on a Sunday and was in class on Thursday and it helped me out enormously. Tori, the studio manager, and Betty, my instructor, were super helpful and mindful when I told them about my injury and when I l was leaving I just kept thinking I was so glad I had come.

- A great full body workout that starts to make noticeable changes even after a few classes. - Easy to learn, non-judgmental environment where both instructors and students are eager to help out the new person. - Instructors are very personable and a pleasure to talk to outside of exercise-related things. It really feels like a community!

Going downhill fast. This is the perfect gym for an easy morning workout… but it is super dirty. The shower is just the start… the same hair has been in there for a week… the trash isn’t emptied on a regular basis, which is an issue in the ladies room, the other day there was 1/4 roll of toilet paper in one of the bathrooms and the others had none! I have raised concerns to management but they seemingly don’t care. My contract is up at the end of the month and will be canceling, hoping I don’t catch some kind of disease in the meantime ;)

I have seen many post by management degrading paying customers, arguing about complaints, and picking fights on Facebook. I have friends who have witnessed such events in person at the gym. Certainly doesn't seem like a welcoming environment. The location is FANTASTIC and convenient, however gyms should be welcoming.

Edit Mon Jan 13, 2025 to owner's response: There needn't be any specific event nor details that should be uttered to attest to the poor management of this location. The staff on-site are fine, but the inventory, equipment, environment, and cleanliness of this location are sorely amiss. To pretend that the operational standard of this particular location is anywhere near average would be inauthentic. Instead of an "ouch", how about a "how can we improve the overall experience"? I wish this location best of luck moving forward. Share the same sentiments as other reviewers that understand how low quality and low effort the franchiser did with this location. One of THEE worst Anytime Fitness locations, period. Don’t go here if you want to actually achieve anything.

Glorified hotel gym. Not enough 45s for the deadlift, bench press and leg press to be used at same time. Few bathrooms but were nice. Few machines except lower body and basic cable setup. Had a ski erg and assault bike a great treadmills so that’s why review wasn’t 1 star. Great gym for new lifters, young or elderly people. Overall disappointed wouldn’t recommend was expecting something a lot nicer regret driving out of my way for this.

The staff at this location is terrific! Daniel is courteous and professional with any issue that comes up. On one occasion, my problem was a bit above his position, so he put me in contact with his boss, Josh. Josh handled my problem quickly and effectively. Every gym has weights and machines, but this one has top-notch employees, as well. I highly recommend the Carmel Sophia Square location.
