I’ve taken a handful of sculpt classes at the Southie handle bar location, and I’m definitely a fan! I got a gift card for christmas so looking forward to going more. I just took Emily’s 5:30 pm class on Thursday and i think i found my new favorite instructor. I just absolutely loved her infectious energy- was so motivated the entire class. All the instructors are amazing but she’s a stand out. Highly recommend coming here. Pro tip bring your own Yogi towel and lots of water- it gets HOT!

Let me tell you about Handle Bar! When I visit their South End location, I never miss out on the spinning classes led by Rachel MC and Maddy B. These instructors are amazing, and don't be fooled by their friendly demeanor - their classes are challenging but they manage to make them enjoyable. Plus, the music they play makes you feel like you're at a party. Personally, I dread cardio, but I always eagerly anticipate their classes.

Handle Bar provides great workouts for both spin & strength & sculpt! Great variety of instructors & times! This location has showers, parking in some nearby areas, and it has a blue bike rack directly in front of the location which makes arriving super easy!

I love HB! The whole crew is incredibly kind, and the workouts are awesome. What I think sets HB apart from competitors is how welcoming they are to new joiners. My first time there vs with other companies was totally different -- someone showed me to my bike, help me set it up, helped me clip in, all the works. The instructors also help coach you through the choreography (e.g., what is position 1, crunch, push-up, etc.) vs leaving you out to guess what's going on. The owner, Tom, is also fantastic. I left a medication there after a class and he went above and beyond to help me get it back. Cant say enough good things about HB!

This studio has both spin and strength building classes. The staff are super nice and instructors are top tier! I highly recommend taking Julie, Matt, Kristen T, Rachel M-C and Ivo's classes!

This is an amazing gym. Dan and Max on staff are always friendly and willing to help, and give great tips and advice, and there’s a healthy community atmosphere here. The routes are quite varied and usually feel like they’re designed to teach good technique, with a lot of different ones that keep people coming back. I started climbing here and I’ve even brought a bunch of my friends here who hadn’t climbed before, and they almost without fail had fun and wanted to come back for more (and some do!). It’s also some of the cheapest climbing I’ve found - keep an eye out on the promotions and you’ll likely find yourself hooked before you know it.

I've been climbing with Rock Spot for several months now and I am very content with my membership! The staff is super friendly and caring, and also are great climbers themselves. Everybody I've interacted with here has been so positive and there is a great sense of community here. I was nervous about swapping gyms after moving here to Boston but the transition has been easy thanks to the great facility and helpful staff. In terms of routes, although there is a wide variety of walls and setting, there is a lot more overhang than I have seen at most other gyms, with maybe more than 50% of the climbing surface area dedicated to overhang problems. Not necessarily an issue, but just something I noticed. I also find that the problems can be inconsistently graded at times - where I can do a few v5's on one week's problems while I can barely do any v4's on another week. It could just be something wrong with me though haha. Another minor nit is that sometimes the tags that indicate which holds are the start holds can fall off pretty easily and get lost on the climbing mats, which can make the beginning of some problems confusing.

Blitzed in here before conference. So nice to have a local welcoming gym with auto belay. Diverse routes, friendly staff, felt like home. I was impressed by diverse equipment opportunities including treadwall and competition routes. If a local would be a member. Check them out.

Very well equipped gym even though it's a bit older. It has everything you need to have fun climbing and for training. It has a great varieties of features and climbs. Very nice staff. It has lot of hangboards, weights, bands, a spray wall, a treadwall, and some short TRs. I look forward to going back when I visit Boston next time.

Great rock climbing spot! The only reason they don't get all five stars on my review is that their crash pads could be improved. They do not feel as safe as they could. The level system in the gym is also interesting as they provide a peer contributed scale of grades for each route.

Great ride, fun energetic playlist and lots of sweat! LOVE the water station! I also want to compliment the front desk staff from today. They had so much hustle and kept busy between class changes to keep things clean. My cleat clip on my bike was loose and they were there quickly to get it right so that I had a perfect ride! 🥰🥰🥰 When I am back in town or near another location - def taking another Ride!

Best Spin Studio Ever! I’ve taken spin classes all over Boston and even while traveling the world, and I can confidently say this studio is by far the best. The instructors are incredibly motivating, the playlists are unbeatable, and the facilities are top-notch. Plus, the whey protein shake at the end is the perfect finishing touch. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an exceptional spin experience!

Everything with Trey was fabulous - I've been dying to take his class for ages and the timing with the holiday just happened to work today! Looking forward to the next Monday holiday so I can ride with him again! I really liked the South Boston studio; I was impressed with use of space throughout, and everything was thoughtfully executed when it designed and built.

Bspoke is a great experience. I decided to purchase the 50$ package for unlimited classes for 2 weeks so I could see if Bspoke was a fitness center that I wanted to commit to. So far, I have been to 1 spin class and 1 hot yoga class. Both were challenging, but they were also exactly what I needed. Especially since winter is right around the corner, and I don't want to continue being a couch potatoe. I also do a lot if sitting for my job, which contributed to my weight gain as well. The fitness center staff are very nice, and the environment os pretty welcoming for new comers. The playlists and the ambiance inside the cycling and yoga rooms are very cool. The vibes are extremely positive, and Im glad I decided to try it out. After the 2 weeks, I plan to become a member.

I’m so incredibly impressed by the caliber of this studio! I recently trialed B/SPOKE’s two week pass at both the Cape House location (equally amazing) and the South Boston location. The pass is a great value to try the studio (2 weeks for $50). The studio: It’s clean and beautiful. The rooms are dark, have plushy mats and towels provided and the infrared heat and lighting feels amazing. The dark room is awesome. I love that they have hair elastics, bandaids and earplugs readily available. Their product suite is Mrs Meyers and they have a sensitive skin face wash which I never see at studios and always need after class. All high end choices and always fully stocked. The people: The front desk staff is so nice and super helpful! Honestly, above and beyond. I had one billing question and through email the team was incredibly generous and helpful and I was so impressed!. The classes: The spin classes were awesome. I loved the bikes and that shoes were provided to rent without surcharge. I especially loved Lo’s and Monica’s classes. I really enjoyed Claire’s and Brittany’s yoga classes. The yoga here is a 45 minute vinyasa flow. If I were to make one suggestion I wish they had a sculpt variety of yoga on the schedule - the studio would lend so nicely to this! I appreciated the option to take strength classes, but they didn’t work as well for me due to prior sports injuries. Overall an amazing experience. They also have free community rides to try the studio which is a nice inclusive touch. My only pause with committing to a full membership is the cost per class. I attend studios very regularly and from a cost effective perspective am always looking for an unlimited class monthly option which isn’t offered at this time. I will be on the lookout if that is ever offered it would be very well received!

Such a great studio - welcoming vibes, clean studio, and an awesome staff. Whether it be your 1st or 100th class, the HB Heat team in Charlestown will welcome you with open arms. You can expect a great sweat in class with their heated rooms, power flow/sculpt routine. Always great music on and the dark room vibe really helps you to focus on yourself/your workout in the workout. 10/10 recommend to all levels.

I’ve taken 2 classes so far with the same instructor and have enjoyed it. I see it as a beginners vinyasa with heat. Hoping other classes will be more challenging. The free parking in the garage is clutch. They provide towels and mats, I bring my own full mat towel so I’m more comfortable putting my head down. Will keep coming.

HB Charlestown needs to be your go to workout class!! SCULPT is inclusive, challenging, high energy, and just so much fun! It is a community that has made me feel welcomed since day one!!

Loved this class- glad the volume wasn’t so high as it can sometimes in these classes be too loud! Ellie was fantastic - most effective yoga sculpt I’ve taken between hotbox and corepower. Tough but modifiable and fast paced. I’ll be taking more of her classes for sure!

Left the class DRIPPING - great sequence and cues , got an amazing full body workout. Also Monique’s playlist is fire🔥

Awesome gym. They have everything and each room is broken up by body part which is helpful (ex: sections for legs, arms, squatting, benching, stretching). Good amount of cardio equipment. Older and newer weightlifting equipment and machines. Really enjoyed my workout here - good vibes and friendly members. The women’s locker room has showers with soap and a nice sauna. Plenty of lockers to store your things. I went for a day pass as I was visiting a friend who lives nearby - price was $15. I thought it was worth it for a good workout

Very disappointing, came to the gym to take a tour and workout, was told no and must purchase a $15 day pass. In 20 years of checking out new gyms when moving to a new neighborhood, I have never been told you had to pay to try out a new gym for one time. Easy decision to never come back. I had heard it was friendlier in this part of Boston. Clearly not the case.

This place is alright. A no frills neighborhood gym that gets the job done. The owner is nice, the folks you email with are helpful and solves issues. 1. But — forget about the front desk folks — specifically the young man who sits there after 6pm — knows nothing, in a hurry to say off tangent things all over the place instead of listening to what you’re actually asking about, and defensively says things like, “I don’t care what the email says…” while you’re not even done with what you’re asking about and then contradicts himself saying “we are easy to talk to”?!? And the older man who just sits there and watches his shows. 2. They promote their phone app — but it sucks and doesn’t really serve much purpose. e.g. I already have memberships—but when I click on my app under my memberships, it shows nothing about my own membership; it shows the memberships that they’re currently selling. 3. When I first came to the gym, I told them it’s my first time and I asked where I’m supposed to go. The front desk elderly man just pointed to one side of the gym and went back to watch his show on his phone. Basically they take ‘no one will bother you’ to the next level. No one who works there actually bothers to know about the memberships they sell or anything at all! No one knows anything but the owner and whoever answers the email. Lol. I still go because this is the nearest gym facility near me. I suppose the area is ripe for competition or I hope this place gets bought out under new management or something.

Nice local gym. A little shabby, but there is everything you need for training, and it's pretty big as well. The best thing - they do not have contract, enrollment fees, commitment fees, annual fees and any other hidden fees. The price you see is the price you pay. And if you wanna make a brake, you're just stop paying, and that's it. Pretty honest policy, in my opinion, which is a rare good nowadays.

There's a 15 dollar day pass if you're not sure you want to commit or not. However, they usually have promos if you're willing to commit several months of training/going to the gym.

Great studio, you can always count on them to deliver a really strong workout. Kind of pricey, so I use classmaxclasspass credits which makes each class slightly cheaper.

Wanted to try out the solidcore hype for the first time! I was visitng a friend in Boston, and accidentally booked the wrong class via classplass due to being on the west coast on a different time zone. So I booked with a friend who lives there and Summer at the Fenway location completely disregarded that, and put me on blast in front of the whole class with the microphone on. She checked my friend in, and then once she realized I booked the wrong class, my friend chose to leave with me after I decided not to pay $40 out of pocket within the 1 min I had to decide. She then "un-checked her in" and made her also pay the cancellation fee after we both showed up.Vibes were not it, and I told her I didn't want to waste any of the other classes time. What a bummer for showing up for the first time experience, and how awkward for the rest of the class.

I’ve taken Solidcore on and off and was BLESSED to take Olivia’s class last night. While all the coaches I’ve come across have been amazing, she was truly the best! Super motivating, had great energy, offered great corrections and modifications, and just led the class perfectly! Can’t wait for next week!

The classes are fun and the instructors are amazing. I had a class with Sydney and Sarah K. Both of them were so sweet and really helpful. The workout was great, and they teach you how to do the exercises the right way, so you don’t get super sore later.

Never answers phone calls. Left multiple voicemails and they weren’t returned. Not flexible. Just made it at the 5 minute mark and they didn’t let us into the class whereas at other places they do. Super disappointed. Came to classes twice before with nice coaches but this just ruined it.
