Have been going here for years, great staff, machines that aren’t properly functioning get repaired in a timely manner. As an owner of a cleaning business I can assure you their staff does an amazing job at keeping the gym clean. I witness their locker rooms being disinfected every single morning. Great job Wilsons, thank you for having a great gym in town. - Brock Biggerstaff

Pros: Most of the staff is nice. They have basically any machine you will need. Plenty of parking, both covered and open. Cons: (Men’s) Bathroom is disgusting most of the time, but I blame that on the patrons rather than the cleaning staff, cause I see them often trying to take care of the mess. The WiFi can seemingly only handle 10 devices at a time so it’s more or less useless, which sucks because the building barely gets a cell signal too.

8/23/24 Edit: Several of the issues I've had have been remedied over time. The internet issues throughout the gym floor have been rectified and they renovated the deadlift platform. Bringing my review up a star. The power rack safety bars are still nigh unusable. Also a standing calf-raise machine would still be nice. Original: Been attending this gym for a little over a year now. It's definitely good enough to have kept me around for this long, and I do intend to remain a member for the foreseeable future. Useful amenities, pretty clean with a large variety of equipment and machines. Staff is friendly and generally helpful as well. Machines have generally well-kept upholstery and well oiled. The several issues I have stem from the fact that this is one of, if not the most expensive gym in the area. The general maintenance of the gym floor is mediocre. You will constantly have to hunt for plates, because they never get redistributed amongst plate-loaded equipment at the end of the day. Ropes, handles, straps, and any other cable attachments should also be picked up and redistributed. I can't tell you how many times I have to go look for a specific length rope and I end up finding it amongst a pile of 3-4 matching length ones at a random cable machine. I get that this issue is primarily due to just disrespectful gym-goers, but even if stuff would get put back where it should be once a day would be massive. Also, there is a stack-loaded machine or two that have missing incremental pins. Additionally, the 2 power racks on the main floor have essentially unusable safety bars. You can't place them in the rack without a hammer to hammer them into place because they fit way too tightly. The safeties for these racks are ALWAYS on the floor because no one can reliably use them, which defeats the entire point of having a power rack. These racks either need to be fixed or replaced. The deadlift platform in the strength room is splintered to hell and has a significant amount of missing wood near where the plates touch the ground. It makes it so that if you ever sumo pull on this platform, your feet are going to feel uneven and unstable, which is dangerous. Like I said, I like this gym and it's amenities for the most part, but the lack of maintenance and aging equipment is extremely apparent, and that makes some of it borderline unusable. It shouldn't be that way at this price point. A standing calf raise machine would also be nice as an addition to the gym, but now I'm just nitpicking.

One of two remaining places in town with racquetball courts (they have 3). We play here several times a week, and the facility is always clean. I've been a member via various employers' sponsored membership programs consistently for the last 10+ years and not too much has changed about the place in that time, save for a couple of face-lift type renovations and equipment updates. As long as my employer is paying the fees, I'll keep going.

It is frustrating to workout here. I want this to be an honest review since Wilson's has been an important part of my life, so I'll start with the positives. The staff are very kind and welcoming, the locker rooms and gym itself are pretty clean, and there are some unique features/equipment (e.g., the lap pool, saunas, turf, and lighting). There are few benches and squat racks, but the wait was usually never more than 10 minutes. The real problems comes from the gym providing opportunities for some patrons to be agitating. For example, there is a stereo that any gym-goer can hook up to. The stereo is right behind the squat racks, and I have had to quit halfway through a set many times due to offensive music being blasted at full volume. The staff have told me that the stereo is only for trainers, but others use it anyways. Also behind the squat racks are a speed bag and punching bag, which make it hard to concentrate when someone is pounding on those behind you. There are other issues with Wilson's: equipment constantly being broken, the dangerous entrance/exit into the Forum location, broken plates, being overcharged certain months and having to call in to correct it, broken clips, having to constantly look for equipment, the gym's music is too loud at times, inconvenient weekend hours, a 30-day cancellation notice, etc. I had been a member since 2018, and it was hard for me to part with Wilson's, but I was fed up with paying nearly $50/month just to get a migraine from trying to workout and improve myself. I would suggest looking for a different gym. Wilson's is not worth the price and has been dropping in quality over the years.
