While I’ve joined other gyms in the past, this gym has the perfect for me! The staff is friendly, it’s clean, and there’s plenty of equipment to use. They even have classes available for those looking to diversify their workouts. It’s super affordable too! Mr. Frank is the gym manager and always willing to answer questions or address concerns. If you’re looking for a new gym, give it a try! You’re welcome!

I went to Fitness Connection for the first time for a yoga class and it was amazing. The yoga instructor, Erica, was able to keep the class fun and accessible whether you’re a beginner or pro. Great people and great equipment. I am a beginner and can be a bit intimidated as a first time gym member. Staff was knowledgeable about equipment and weekly classes to try. Fitness connection is a great place for everyone at any stage of your fitness journey.

In town for the weekend. Gym is nice. Just set up weird. Just gym equipment everywhere. I did like the digital scale in the locker room. Gym has plenty of options. Unlike the location back home I did like they had a regular sauna.

Fitness Connection is an incredible gym!! I am out of town, and the guys on the east side took care of me. The manager Josh is an excellent person, and very good with people. I would totally recommend this place to workout. They have all the equipment you need!!

This facility was nice and clean. The equipment appears to be new and in great condition. Joshua was a huge help, super friendly. He strives to take good care of service-members, which is amazing. Would definitely recommend!

Best Y’s in Charlotte are Lake Norman and Dowd. Keith isn’t the cleanest as you can see in the video. They have physical training unit attached to the gym and on specific days of the week they have high school athletes taking up the multipurpose area where you have the squat racks and turf pad. The gym also doesn’t let you drop heavy weight on the Rogue platforms that are specifically designed for weight dropping on them. So if you’re a cross fitter wanting to do max weight cleans or deadlifts this isn’t the gym.

I had the worst experience yesterday. The staff is truly incompetent and incapable of doing their job correctly. For context I am a nationwide member and travel a lot. So typically anytime I go to a ymca outside of my city for some reason it’s such a lengthy process for them to check me in. Yesterday the lady at the front desk was asking me questions and she started asking more questions than usual, so I said “ Is there something wrong? I’ve been to this specific location all the time and they always let me in. I don’t know what the problem is. “ She then said she didn’t know what was going on and there wasn’t a manager at the moment so she would let me in. 10 minutes into my workout her and the manager come to get me telling me I have to leave and everyone is staring at me like I did something wrong. The manager (Allena or Ellena I can’t remember her name I believe it started with an A) then lies to me saying she spoke to my home YMCA and says I got kicked out of the family plan I’m in ( I’m in college so the account holder is my mom) She told me that I needed to grab my things and leave the facility. She also told me that next time I wanted to come in it would be $20. She didn’t allow me to explain myself or the situation. So I told her that I can call the ymca myself in her office to verify if that was true or not. I called my home ymca and verified that what the manager had told me was a lie. All they said was that there was an issue with the card on the account and it was expired but as soon as it got updated they would be able to process payment. I got the card payment updated and they had no choice but to let me back in. I believe they were trying to make it seem like I got kicked out of the plan so I could buy my own membership with them. It was a very humiliating and uncomfortable experience. As there were multiple people in the gym who saw me get kicked out and the staff tried to make it seem like I could not afford a gym membership. I felt discriminated against.

Great place for a swim, exercises, gym workout and many other sessions. Clean locker rooms, clean restrooms. Lifeguard on duty in swimming pool. Lot of parking. There is also a kids playground. Memberships required. Non members can enroll for a higher amount.

I’m here at the ymca right now, it’s very nice and clean, i don’t know what the other reviewers are talking about. This place is very spacious and well kept.

I’ve been to three different Y’s in the area, and this is my favorite. I really wanted to give five stars, but two things held me back. But please read to the end because there are positives. 1. I think it is unreasonable for half of the pool to be closed during water aerobics when the class doesn’t even take up but a fourth of the pool when they’re in session. With the physical therapy I have to do, I need to be able to walk down the stairs, and I take up about two feet of space around me. 2. EVERY staff member has been wonderful EXCEPT the water aerobics teacher that made a big deal of getting out of “her pool” when her class was in session. The life guard that was there at the time was nice and every other one I’ve come into contact with was wonderful. The pool manager was very nice to me and told me how to reserve lanes since I’m a nation wide member and can’t book online. Front staff have been great. It’s sad that one employee and experience can make someone feel attached. My suggestion is, if you travel, no matter what the pool schedule says, still call them before you come. You never know how each Y handles pool rules.

I absolutely love burn camp at steel creek! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by friendly staff who made me feel welcome and comfortable. The facilities are clean, well-maintained, and have a wide range of equipment for all types of workouts. The trainers are knowledgeable and always willing to help, whether you're a beginner or an advanced athlete. I appreciate the variety of exercises they offer, from yoga to high-intensity interval training. The gym also has a great sense of community, with social events and challenges that keep me motivated. Overall, I highly recommend this gym to anyone looking for a supportive and inspiring fitness environment.

I’ve been a member of SC Burn for just over a year now. It’s been an awesome experience from the first day I walked in the door. The workouts are challenging and unique each day. The trainers push you. Members become friends and encourage you daily. The whole team loves on my boys and celebrates with you in all accomplishments. Don’t look any further than Burn Boot Camp Steele Creek.

ISI BALLANTYNE is just what I needed. You go non-stop for fifty minutes. You will move to different blocks in the gym as the trainer keeps time. Reservations are required for each session. The trainers keep you moving, however you may workout at your own pace. So if you need to stop and catch your breath that's cool also. You will work out with members with different fitness levels. It is worth checking out if your do it yourself routine needs a kick.

I am using Class Pass and was excited to try my first class with ISI Elite. I drove there which took me some time and I got a notification 15 minutes before the class started saying “class cancelled”. When I arrived I asked why and they told me that not enough people signed up for the class so they had to cancel it. I asked them why they chose to notify me 15 minutes before the class started to let me know. They said they tried calling me early but my phone number wasn’t on the class pass file. However, I just checked and it is. (Maybe a class pass error?) They also said they emailed me that they canceled the class which is true but again only 15 minutes before the class started! They apologized and said they are giving me a free class for next time. That is nice of them, but just be aware that they may cancel your class with an extremely late notice! I also think that just because not enough people signed up is not a good enough reason to cancel in my opinion.

Iron Sharpen Iron.. that's exactly what happens here. Some highly motivating coaches, lots of awesome workouts. Your body will ask for it everyday. Kudos! 2 year update: if athletics based training is your thing, this is the place!

I’ve been with ISI for 16 months. ISI has such an amazing community! I love that ISI never does the same workouts each day and it’s for every level. Never in a million years did I think I’d fit in..but it’s been the best decision I ever made. The sales leaders Kolbe, Andrew, Mae are always there with the high energy even at 5am. The coaches go above and beyond to make sure they know you, your comfort level, any injuries, and will always push you to the next level. I’ve never stuck with a gym for longer than 6 months until I started ISI. Coach Kim has inspired me to run my first 5k and is always helping me build that confidence! The franchise partners Nick and Nicole have done an incredible job really getting involved in the community! It’s really great when you see the franchise partner, head, performance coach, and all the other ISI coaches actually work out with us too and saying that they practice what they preach. We’re one huge family and I’ve made some amazing lifelong friends. I am now accomplishing things. I never thought I could a year ago. ISI Bally will always be my second home!

I’m in the best shape of my life thanks to ISI. I love being able to focus on the workout without the stress of planning a workout of waiting for equipment to open it. It’s a strong 45 minutes. Bonus points for having a room for my kids to hang out and watch tv in while mom works out!
