The HIIT classes with Ashlee on Tuesday and Thursday are the best!!!! I really love to swim laps in the indoor pool they have and also take advantage of the steam room! Overall, I’ve had nothing but good experience here at the YMCA. 😊

Wow! Check out this YMCA NOW! The best equipment and deal in gym-rich (and pricey) Austin. They completed a huge upgrade from top to bottom: State of the art equipment and flooring. Love the staff. Check out the photos. I’ll update as it goes.

Seems like a good deal if you're young enough for the young deal, and overpriced otherwise, but it's close to me. Staff has been nice. The breakdown of equipment is non-optimal. The ratio of stairclimbers to rowing machines to treadmills is off. Missing some kinda obvious pieces of equipment for a gym this size like a bicep or tricep machine. On the plus side, they have a steam room that gets decently hot, a sauna (wasn't that hot the one time I tried it and thus went to steam room), a jacuzzi and pool, etc. It's nice if you live nearby or also a good deal if you can get the young people pricing.

Good Morning Everyone! I hope y'all are chilling out & enjoying your weekend. All I will say is this....Townlake YMCA. I belong to 24 Hour Fitness....have been a member for a few...yes, um, a couple of decades!!! 👈🏾😳😳🫢🫢😯😯😲 From Sunny California, To Las Vegas, Here in TEXAS.. & "ONLY BY GODS GRACE," Oregon in the near future. However... One thing I have dreamed of, hoped & prayed I'm living. All the trauma im living with & Walking My Way: Day by Day....Through It; The Trauma.....to Be living 3 minutes from the LADYBIRD Lake Trail; is one of the most Truly Beautiful Experiences. I walk every single day, & the problem is I Am So Very Deeply Overwhelmed By The Anghts Of Hate & Racism....I am wqlking further each day but, the Arthritis In My Feet Is getting worse...from the extra walking. It's A Double Edged Sword. 🤺 Walk to heal, more undeserved intended tort & emotion distress....more walking. Help!! (???)💔 Happy & Grateful but, the 55 & up complex I live in....Is An Unbelievable Nightmare. I'm doing all I can to Force Change but; its taking its toll.

This recreational place, which contains gyms and swimming pools for all ages, is a clean and safe place for the family, hot and clean water, and a safe closed place for the safety of children. It has a jacuzzi, swimming pools and gymnasiums for slimming and building muscle. They have programs for all ages at competitive prices supported for families with limited income. I recommend it to all families and individuals who want cleanliness and reasonable price

Lifetime South Austin is an awesome gym. It’s never too crowded when I come. It has all the machines I need for exercise, an indoor and outdoor pool, and sauna. The kids club has been a life saver. The women’s locker room is well kept and clean! The staff are positive and helpful.

When I first joined this gym, I was impressed by the facilities and the overall atmosphere. The equipment was modern, the staff were friendly, and there was a strong sense of community among members. The gym offered a variety of classes and amenities that made it an attractive place to work out. However, over time, I’ve noticed a significant decline in the quality of services provided. The gym has undergone several renovations that seem more focused on aesthetics than functionality. While some improvements were welcome, many changes felt superficial and did not enhance the workout experience. Instead, these renovations have been accompanied by consistent price increases, which is frustrating for long-time members like myself. The rising costs are particularly concerning given the diminishing quality of services. Each time I receive a notification about a price hike, I can’t help but feel that I’m being charged more for less value. It seems as though the management is prioritizing profit over member satisfaction. One of the most disappointing aspects has been the maintenance of key facilities like the sauna and steam rooms. Initially, these areas were cleaned weekly, providing a pleasant environment for relaxation after workouts. Unfortunately, it appears that this standard has slipped significantly; I have serious doubts about whether they are cleaned at all anymore. This lack of cleanliness not only detracts from my experience but also raises concerns about hygiene and safety. In summary, while my initial experience at this gym was positive, ongoing issues with pricing and cleanliness have led to growing dissatisfaction. It feels as though the focus has shifted away from providing quality service to maximizing profits through unnecessary renovations and increased fees. I hope that management will take these concerns seriously and make necessary changes to restore the gym to its former glory.

This is by far the worst lifetime I have ever been to. Terribly managed. The gym equipment is constantly broken and the entire workout area looks like it is cleaned only once a week. The amenities are great if they are ever working. The saunas, pools, and hot tubs are broken most of the time. Want to use a squat rack? Think again because they use all of them for the group classes and personal trainers(that don’t even look like they workout). I love Lifetime but this South Austin location is run atrociously.

This gym has been a great place for our family to have fun and stay active while indoor from the Austin heat. One of the highlights has been having John Brown as my personal trainer. He has been invaluable in my fitness journey during the past 3 months to help me with strength building and body recompositioning. His expertise in nutrition to his incredible skill set in dynamic stretching, where only he can magically wipe out any tensions I have that day to allow me to perform the training exercises safely, pain-free and with proper form and technique. He’s also a wealth of knowledge when it comes to the hows and whys of all the strength exercises he has planned for me. I leave each session smarter and stronger. I can see & feel the difference and am always surprise at what I am capable of lifting coming out of our weekly session. Thanks, Coach for the support and motivation! “Let’s Go!” In addition to training, the group classes with Jen F, Noelle, Lisa, and Aimee are so fun and empowering. They’re such great instructors and you come out of each of their classes feeling great. Our girls regularly go to rock climbing because Ms. Allison makes it extra fun and is so great communicating with the kids. We also utilize their indoor lap pool and shower several times a week. Definitely worth the investment in exchange for a fun and active lifestyle.

They advertise a whole bunch of squat racks but in reality there’s only 3 available the rest are always being used by personal trainers not even using them just taking up the space and the others there’s a class going on. (They prioritize the class bc those members pay a higher fee) don’t bother talking to the managers they dont anything. Example. Prime time Personal trainer stuff left there for more than 30 minutes with no one there

I've only come here twice for a swimming lesson, but loved it. The pool area is clean and well kept and water temperature was comfortable. Locker rooms clean. Staff very helpful and friendly. Looking forward to exploring more!

The facilities are clean and the staff are friendly. They have a lap pool which is a bit on the warmer side as far as lap pools are concerned but that’s not a problem for me. A nice hot tub to unwind in after and even a little exercise pool. Clean showers which have curtains so they can be private and also a swim suit dryer! Clean locker rooms and a nice gym on the second floor. They have a lot of machines and also programs to sign up for if you want guidance. I’d definitely recommend this YMCA to anyone I know!

I am a Silver Sneakers swimmer at the indoor pool at the YMCA North. The pool is clean and the life guards are alert and friendly. You always get a smile from the front desk when you check in. Most of all, there is a community of support for your exercise no matter what it is. I swim 50 min. 3 days a week and really enjoy it! 😄💧😄
