I just recently started using Anytime Fitness as my primary gym, and I absolutely love the small town feel of it and how engaged the trainers are! So far, I've had short sessions with Sam, Andrew, and Brandy. Each one of the trainers has their own unique style and strengths and pushed me, teaching me exercises that I now use in my workouts on my own. Thank you for being so personal and engaging each time I've walked through your doors!

Amazing staff to work with! Andrew is super knowledgeable and friendly. He can help anyone with their goals, whether you are new to the gym or have experience. I highly recommend working with them!

This gym has definitely changed for the better. Offering an updated feel (very spacious, and tons of mirrors), newer bathrooms, tanning, and a plethora of new equipment. Seems to me it will only continue to get better from here on out.

I have been a loyal member of Anytime Fitness Shakopee for over 5 years, but my recent experience has left me extremely disappointed. When I came in to cancel my membership, I was met with a poor attitude from Kayla that was completely unsatisfactory. After years of dedication, I expected a more respectful and professional interaction. This experience has truly tarnished my perception of this gym.

Earlier this year I wanted to start going to a gym to get into shape for a physically demanding national service position. Swayed by the inexpensive base price of Anytime Fitness and the initial friendly encounters, I started attending this gym regularly. I explained I would very quickly (2-3 months) be moving across the country for this position, and they excitedly asked me about it most times I went to the gym. I was then convinced to sign up for personal training sessions by Sam. Apparently, the only agreement for training sessions is a 6-month contract, but I was explicitly told I would not be charged all 6 months but just for the few weeks left before I departed and also be gifted free sessions. After I completed my term, I saw that I had been charged all summer (hundreds more than I ever agreed to pay). I brought this to their attention in early October (I cancelled my membership in May). After over 2 months of back and forth, them rescheduling nearly every phone call and email the day of, telling me I'd get refunded in full, blaming it on corporate, they are now offering me less than half of what they already told me I would get refunded and claiming they are doing me a favor by not charging me an additional several hundred dollars for cancellation fees. Their current solution is for me to continue to buy their services with the money they stole even though I do not live there anymore and have not since April which was clear and discussed since the day I started my membership. The few training sessions themselves were enjoyable enough, and I had fun working out with the other members of the gym and even brought the trainers gifts from work. However, my expressed goals of learning how to make my own workout plans and learning more about how to use the equipment were not met, and I did not receive nutrition advice besides a single recommendation for a protein bar. I feel completely taken advantage of and scammed. I was blatantly lied to. I will actively recommend against going to this predatory gym. Edit: cannot respond to owner's comment, so here is my response: Sam has told me he has been working with you for the past two months, and you have not reached out a single time until now. A great way to have a good reputation is by being honest and upholding your agreements.
