Best Gyms with 24 Hour Access near San-diego, California

This gym would not let me do the 3 day trial because I’m in the military and do not have a California state ID. Regardless, this gym is missing a ton of equipment including almost half of their dumbbells. Much of their equipment is falling apart. Overall, a very dirty and disorganized gym.

Worst gym I've ever been to. The facility is as dilapidated as the patrons. No one wipes down equipment after use. People congregate in groups and hog an entire machine for prolonged periods. Wouldn't be surprised if the health department found novel strains of bacteria in this cesspool. You couldn't pay me to work out here.

I was with planet fitness for 7yrs sadly moving to San Diego their not 24hrs. Switched over to 24 HOUR Fitness I regret getting their membership, it’s extremely disgusting I wished I took photos of the group room. But their restroom and shower is extremely unhygienic!! I don’t think anyone has bother to walk around and see if something needs to be cleaned! Public health dept needs to be Involved. Yes it’s the members(females) are disgusting but the employees should be hands on.

Woooowwww I’m not only disappointed but disgusted at the uncleanliness throughout the facility. I used to love coming here and after moving back to the area I decided to rejoin but now after my first visit back I regret paying for a membership. Wished I had seen the reviews before purchasing. These comments are not an exaggeration. The walls from the Sauna look like they have mold, the floors are insanely gross and it smells of body odor and mildew. The pool floor looks like it hasn’t been washed in months. I agree that the health department should get involved in this circumstance. Totally unacceptable. I was so disappointed I left as quickly as possible. I’m going to try and get a refund. :(

This is the dirtiest gym I’ve ever been in my whole life. A huge lack of management here every worker just sitting and chatting each other. I was there for about 2 hours and didn’t see a single cleaning crew person. More than half of the equipment cushions are damaged, a lot of hardware broken or damaged or somehow useless

I’ve been a member for about a year now, and it’s been a fantastic experience! I tried out several other private gyms around SD, but my main priorities were finding a 24-hour gym that wasn’t crowded like commercial gyms. Warhouse checked both those boxes, and that’s why I chose it over the others. The staff is super friendly and personable, which really creates a welcoming vibe. I also really appreciate how much they emphasize gym etiquette—it definitely helps create a more respectful and positive community among everyone. I’ve even got a few friends to join, so I definitely recommend it!

This gym is awesome ! Cool ambient lighting to make working more chill , lots of options for machines including some homemade ones. Very private and secure and has a whole front room with a variety of drinks and food. Worth the money with how many cool things they have including a posing room lots of cool features!

Well-equipped gym with great atmosphere. Welcoming staff, top vibes. No better place to get a workout in while visiting San Diego!

Warhouse Gym is hands down the best gym experience I’ve ever had. This place is incredibly clean, secure, and safe. It’s truly top-notch. The cold plunge and sauna are perfect for recovery, and being open 24 hours is a massive bonus. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, which makes every visit feel like home. Plus, they’ve got everything you need to fuel up, from protein shakes and cookies to water. It’s a high-class gym, and I would never go anywhere else. If you’re serious about fitness and want a gym that feels like a community, Warhouse is the place to be! I just want to give a big shoutout to Richard and Lexy. Richard was incredibly helpful from the start—such a cool guy! He guided me through the signup process and made everything easy and stress-free. Lexy, on the other hand, brings such a heartwarming vibe to the place. She makes the gym feel like home and is honestly one of the coolest people I’ve met. They both make working out here a great experience. Just wanted to give you two your flowers as well. Thank you Warhouse, Thank you, Richard and Lexy, for everything!

Best gym in SD by FAR! This place is always clean no matter what time of the day you go, weights are never out of place, and staff and other members are super friendly. Everything you want in a gym, this place has. If you are thinking about joining or even trying out the day pass do it!! It’s definitely worth it.

Been going to this gym only because it’s conveniently located 2 blocks from where I work. Staff is friendly and they always greet you at the front when you check in. I’ve been seeing too many machines and equipment missing padding and seats, a lot of rips and tears. I’m not sure if someone is stealing them, but 4 machines in 1 day without seats and padding in one day, especially if I use all 4 machines is just ridiculous. Most times the spray bottles are empty and contain no cleaning power solution. It’s like straight water.

This place needs seiorus help. Ive had a membership here for about 2 months now and i dont think ive walked into the place once and felt like i was participating in a clean well maintained environment. It always stinks and is very muggy even late at night when there is noone present. I rarely see employees cleaning or maintaining the place. Multiple machines are out of service or broken and have been since i joined 2 months ago. All of the bottle refill spickets on the water fountains are broken and again have not seen maintenance for over 2 months. The machines that do work are worn out and most equiptment has tears in the leather and smell horrible. A few weeks ago i had to take a trip to urgent care as i contracted MRSA (a skin infection) from the equiptment after i got a small cut on my arm which was extremley unsettling and disgusting. I kept giving this place the benefit of the doubt as i have several friends who come here, and i enjoy working out with them but today was the final straw after i found food trash and ants crawling across the floor and up the windows. I couldnt take it anymore.. i had to cancel my membership and go elsewhere which sucks Because this gym is in a very convenient location. If you like your customers, please maitnance this place or hire better employees!

The facility is ALWAYS filthy. And ALWAYS full both midnight and midday. There's a water fountain that has been out of service for MONTHS. Multiple machines broken. Trash laying all over the place. Anytime fitness is 100% better. I'll switch back after my long ass contract ends. I'll add daily until my membership comes to an end. Here are my continued findings: -they never have cleaning spray -no one ever puts their weights back in the correct location- so there are weights just laying around

Some of the cleanest bathrooms I've ever seen. Staff will help out and resupply cleaning spray and wipes when asked. KP was a great at check in explaining all the equipment and helping out when we said some equipment was down. Overall friendly place

I hadn’t been to the gym in a few months but wow, the bathrooms were a wreck. It looks like nobody has mopped the floors in a month, the showers were filthy with mold on the walls, light was out and the drain was backing up. This place used to be a pretty nicely managed gym a year plus ago.

One of the better 24hr in the area, no frills, older equipment. Lots of duplicate dumbbells and in-between weights so you’re usually not stuck waiting. There’s like 8 squat racks in all, lots of benches. The only time I’d avoid is 5-6pm weekdays. Same for parking, not full other than at that time. Even then it’s better than the other 24hr locations. Friendly staff, decent showers and locker room. Other locations I always find myself waiting on certain machines or missing dumbbells, which sucks if you’re trying to stick to a routine

I came here for the duration of a few months and man does this place have potential. Good location, friendly staff and decent equipment. However other members are the downfall of this gym. Actually, not members but a member specifically, who is blatantly abusing the laid back nature of the gym. He comes into the gym between 8:30am-10:00am and choses one machine to sit on and basically hogs it for a 2-2.5 hour period. He doesn’t let anyone on the machine and he often will sit idle on his phone for 20-25mins at a time then do another set.The machines he sits are are some of the most popular machines in the entire gym. The machines like lat pulldown and biceps. The whole situation is absolutely ridiculous, he has no respect for others. People could have worked in and used the machine during the time he was just sitting on his phone. He literally is playing games on his phone. I politely asked to use the machine and he just looked at me and said he was in the middle of something then went back to his phone like I didn’t exist. Never have I seen this level of rudeness from a person in a gym setting before like wow it’s unreal the level of arrogance being displayed. Total disrespect on so many levels and I'm surely not the only one upset by this machine hogging. It was to the point where I did my whole workout and then came back to the one machine after cardio and he is still on the same machine. It had already been 1 hour and 50 mins, are you kidding me? I had to head to work as my time is not infinite. What is wild is he knows I am waiting also so he is outright ignoring me, it is so peculiar. When I can’t use a single machine over 1.5-2 hour duration that's a problem. I was shocked by this and it’s sad because the gym is having a hard time with staff as I see the same few faces and know that it takes a few more than that to run that kind of gym. He is taking advantage of the lower staffing at the gym and making his own rules, crazy. It is sad because all the staff are extremely polite and always doing the best they can for the gym. Myself and all the other members pay the same amount of membership fee to use the machines and gym facilities. Hopefully the GM can see this and fix the issue. The level of potential here is huge, definitely needs addressing so this issue won't linger on.

I see members complaining about time, inconvenience - like how she has to work & be at Mass. LMAOOO - Karen much??! & ONE member. Literally comical! Can't y'all just tell the staff instead of writing a novel about it?? Rme. Maybe they should go to other 24 hr places to stay grateful bc this place is 1. One of the cleaner gyms (Like bathrooms that aren't floored with TP and cleaning stations that actually have paper towels and disinfectant on the reg) & most importantly 2. During what us 'un-entitled' deal with on the regular, FARRRR less packed during "after work hrs". I was hesitant coming here bc of the time, but when I left I was still surprised how not as packed as most gyms at this time would be. Maybe I just got lucky idk, but 3. They also had more different types of machines than my reg gym (which is about 4xs bigger). Granted they do seem a lil out dated with some of them, but I'm sure there's a reason such as budget due to how small it is. The staff is very welcoming, but I feel most places are. I could see at night how this place is kind of sketch, but it's a small lot so It's not like you have to walk too far. It would have been five stars if the place had more updated machines & saunas, but all in all it's a pretty good place for how small it is.

The gym facilities are good, but I was disappointed with the automatic renewal of my annual membership without any prior notification. I understand this may be outlined in the agreement, but people can forget to cancel or update their membership, especially if they haven’t been attending for the year. A simple email reminder before renewal would go a long way in improving the customer experience and ensuring transparency!! No refund 😐

The place needs some major deep cleaning and then regular upkeep. The machines are gross, the bathroom tile has mold, even the drinking fountains are gross. So conveniently located but they need to work on daily cleanliness and not just taking out the trash. Oh and blood on the shower curtains!!

Absolutely love this place - has all the standard equipment and some space for independent movements. 24/7 access is incredible as a member. Especially if you’re a father to two toddlers. $40 a month is great. 10/10 recommend

Has a bunch of powerlifting/strongman equipment you wouldn't normally find in a commercial gym (specialized bars, calibrated plates, combo racks). The gym is smaller than most commercial gyms I've been too but that doesn't seem to be an issue because you rarely have to wait for equipment that you want to use. The best part is that the monthly fee isn't that much more than the commercial gyms in the area ($45 per month here vs ~$30 at 24hr). Only downside, for me at least, is that there are only 2 combo racks available.

Putting 5 stars does not do justice to how great this gym is. The equipment is widely available to people who have just started their journey in fitness and to those who have been into fitness . The staff members are kind and dedicated to keep the gym clean and organized. The gym owners' passion for strength training empowers many to continue their journey in their own fitness goals. This seems to be a safe space for many and has created a community that is passionate about fitness. It has been a safe haven for my family and I. I am grateful to be a member of this gym and would recommend this gym to anyone. Thank you, Metroflex and staff for everything.

I had an incredible experience at Metroflex Miramar during my trip to San Diego. The owner and staff were incredibly welcoming, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere. The facility impressed me with its cleanliness, and the top-notch equipment provided an excellent workout experience. What truly stood out was the availability of a combo rack, power bars, and kilo plates – everything a competitive powerlifter could need. I highly recommend Metroflex Miramar to anyone looking for a fantastic gym in the San Diego area. It truly was a highlight of my visit!

Best gym in SD hands down! Have been going here since they have opened and and I have not one single complaint. People if you don't see the significance of the caliber of this gym I feel sorry for you. 45 bucks a month and its 24 hour ? 20$ annual fee , cancel at anytime . Not shaming other gyms but this is a tough one to beat. No intentions of leaving this gym anytime soon. Bub operates this gym as if he was a customer looking the the right gym . As a member tips if you are going to become a member RE RACK YOUR WEIGHTS and your gonna be fine.

I’ve been working out at Teqneeq for over a year and I can confidently say it’s the best gym membership I’ve ever had. The facility and the equipment are top-of-the-line and in excellent condition. Everything is immaculately clean and well-maintained. It’s clear that the owner takes great pride in keeping everything updated, spotless and in working order. The culture here is friendly and respectful. It’s never crowded, so I don’t have to wait for equipment or feel rushed during my workout. It’s a perfect environment for getting in a solid session without distractions. If you want to take your fitness to the next level, the personal trainers here are all highly professional, knowledgeable, and willing to offer guidance. I’d never used a trainer before, but I’ve been working with Rico for about 9 months, with fabulous results. Highly recommend everything about this gym!

I was thinking of building out my own home gym, because I don’t want to deal with crowds. Then one day I walked into Teqneeq for the first time, and felt as though it was my own private gym, but this time thousands of square feet instead of the size of a garage! Excellent facility, cleaner than any other gym, never crowded and always available. If you’re looking for a trainer, Rico is top notch.

I've never really liked going to gyms. When my husband joined Teqneeq he encouraged me to take a tour. So I did and was pretty impressed and decided to give it a try. The design and layout is very welcoming and open. The level of cleanliness is extraodinary and other members are very friendly, helpful and polite. And they have a huge range of equipment that is all of high quality and consistently cleaned, maintained and updated. I highly recommend to anyone to take a tour.

Excellent facility and top-of-the-line equipment. This place is spotless and has everything you need to accomplish any goal you may have. It is never too busy, which is very beneficial when you need to get in, work out quickly and efficiently. Management has a perfect outlook on how the environment should be. The culture here is definitely all business and no room for people messing around, which is a huge plus. I would recommend this facility to anyone who is serious about fitness and wants access to a facility that promotes success in every aspect.

I’ve been a member at this gym since it opened many years ago. This facility has the best equipment in San Diego. It is clean/safe and open 24 hours which is extremely convenient for my work schedule. The owner works hard and maintains the facility so it does not get run down which I respect and am grateful to be a member.

Great use of a smaller space. You couldnt fit another piece of equipment in here if your tried. Locker rooms are what you’d expect, small, smelly and in need of some funds. But all and all it’s a great place to workout on base.

The public won't have access to the gym unless you are military personnel. I've been coming to this gym since 2007 and still by far the best on base with better equipment.

Good place to workout first thing in the morning. The barn opens at 5 and I suggest going then, you'll have free range of all the equipment. They have cable weights, free weights, and plenty of treadmills of you don't do the outside thing. Avoid going at lunch at all cost.

Exclusive club. If you like picking up heavy things and putting th back down, over and over, this is the place to be. Some of the biggest and strongest men and women you will see are here. Check with your local friendly Marine Corps recruiter for more information.

They are annoying about the covid card.... its a piece of paper if I have it with me all the time it will get wrecked. I have a pic of it and they said that isnt good enough. Yet the other gym less than a 1/4 mile away doesn't even ask for a card. I do also have both shots.
