Harts Run Fitness is great! I started attending for yoga classes and eventually added personal training with Anthony. It’s been a great experience and now I’m working out on my own even more. The equipment assortment allows for a variety of workout styles, and the cardio equipment faces the windows which is especially nice during winter. It’s always clean in the locker rooms and the gym as a whole never smells funny. The owners are often around to say hi and the regulars are welcoming in classes or the gym. HRF is a great local spot and I’m really grateful it exists.

Based on my experience with Anthony and Mason at Harts Run Fitness, I can confidently say that they are excellent trainers who are dedicated to helping their clients achieve their fitness goals. I approached Anthony almost an year back with severe low back pain, labrum injury and hip impingement syndrome. I found his knowledge and expertise in fitness and exercise exceptional. Until then, my doctors and physical therapists were working on symptom control and planning to consider surgical options if it doesn't work, Anthony talked to me about making me stronger and working on my overall fitness and goals. He created personalized workout plans that catered to my specific needs. He also made me understand proper form and technique, which was essential for ensuring that I got the most out of my workouts. I am glad to say that six months down the line I felt much better and my symptoms were completely under control. I have also seen so many other success stories of their clients and I also learned to prioritize my fitness above everything else. In addition to their technical skills, they are also great motivators. They are always positive and encouraging, which helps to create a supportive and uplifting atmosphere in the gym. Overall, I would highly recommend this gym and Anthony and Mason as trainers to anyone looking for experienced, knowledgeable, and motivating trainers who can help them reach their fitness goals.

I was contacted over the phone 5 hours after making this review and a little over 6 hours after my appointment. The purpose of the call was seemingly to persuade me to remove or alter the review. I was offered a free month, but I was not particularly interested. The explanation for the issue that caused my negative review in the first place was that staff were given Columbus/Indigenous People's Day off (I thought only government workers took this day off), and their scheduling service was not updated to reflect this (described as a glitch, but someone probably just forgot), allowing me to schedule for a time when nobody would be around to let me in. The only issue with this explanation is that their holiday hours are not mentioned anywhere as far as I can see, not even on the door. This is overall an understandable problem for any business to have, but not an acceptable one, at least not to me. However, I believe if the purpose of a review, for which this is my first, is to alert potential customers of consistently bad practices or consistently good service, I cannot say in good faith that I can offer a comprehensive view of the business. I had one bad experience before ever even joining the gym. I believe a low score due to a singular bad experience would usually be averaged out by many good reviews, but it doesn't really work that way with smaller businesses/franchises, who rarely naturally get positive reviews. Maybe if I could weigh my score lower due to it being a tiny reflection of the overall business, I would keep it at 1, as that is how it still feels to me, but reviews are for other people, not just me, so I will change it to a 3 and ask anyone reading to consider my particular experience is likely not reflective of the business as a whole. It's probably only relevant if you plan to schedule an appointment around a holiday. I can't imagine that is relevant for most people. I can also assume they will try to fix this going forward. Original review (1 star): --- It seems like they do not want new members. I showed up on Saturday to take a look around. Apparently, it's appointment only on the weekends, as can be seen on the door. I only see that being the case for Sunday online, but that's fine. I scheduled an appointment for the earliest available slot on Monday. When I arrived a few minutes early for my appointment, there was nobody to let me in through the locked door. I was early, that's fine. After waiting 5 minutes after my appointment time, which I scheduled online and received email and text confirmations for, I decided to call who was supposed to be introducing me to the gym. No answer. No call back. I can only assume they do not want or need new members, so I would recommend going elsewhere. I can't comment on the equipment or atmosphere, but it looks a little cramped through the windows.

Been coming here for 3 years. Solid gym, majority of gym goers are considerate and show courtesy. Manager cleans frequently and is super laid back.

I have been a member here for almost 8 months now and I can't say enough good things. Everything is always kept very clean, and the machines are always functioning. The manager Julius is extremely friendly and welcoming and it creates an almost family like environment inside the gym. I'm still really new to my fitness journey, and have never been a regular gym goer until this past year, but I never once felt intimidated or out of place here. It's a great gym for people of all experience and skill levels.

The gym is very clean and organized. Very accomodating staff. Always very respectful people in the gym and plenty of room and equipment from the remodel. Would love to keep going there but moved away.

I found this place from Google Maps. I also hope to share my experience with everyone. When I came here, his manager received me warmly. I told him I could only be here for five months. He recommended a one-year contract to me and told me I could cancel at any time. That costs $44 per month. When I received the email,I saw that it was $22 per two weeks. This is a huge difference. There are a lot of equipment here, but most of them are relatively old. Hidden in the contract terms is an annual equipment renewal fee. The sanitary conditions here are better.Because everyone cleans it every time they use it. But the air doesn't smell very good most of the time. When I was leaving in the fifth month, he gave me two options: continue to pay for two months or pay for one month and pay the cancellation fee. what should I do?
