PERSONAL TRAINING: they have a really great personal training team… have been working out here since mid pandemic when bldg gym was shutdown. Continued coming here because of excellent trainers…Marcel is excellent at making match with training styles; been training with Giorgi (recommend!) for over year and he is terrific at motivating/ coaching to push me for personal bests on weight training and overall health and wellness. Generally it can get a bit crowded, but nice facilities kept clean and updated and the staff/team are good, welcoming.

I've been a member at Equinox Williamsburg for 2+ years. I go mostly for the personal training with Alex and I am a fan of the Weekend Wind Down Yoga class. Alex isn't just a trainer – he's a dedicated professional who consistently goes above and beyond. His ability to motivate me during tough sessions while adapting workouts to my schedule shows his commitment to his clients' success. What truly sets him apart is how genuinely he cares about my progress, always checking in and adjusting our approach to ensure I'm seeing results. The gym and locker rooms are impeccably clean, making every visit a premium experience.

I've done personal training with Alex Vega and have really enjoyed my sessions with him. He's very knowledgeable and will work with you to achieve your short term and long term goals. Highly recommend him for general strength training. This Equinox is in a convenient location and has great staff.

Adam Labossiere is the best personal trainer - he brights a thoughtful, holistic approach to training, health and wellness! Adam is the best part about Equinox Williamsburg! Otherwise the gym is solid, but definitely too crowded and it leaves the locker rooms feeling cramped, overheated and sometimes a bit dirty…

Been a member of EQX for 10 years and only started doing personal training sessions when I moved to Wburg location. Alex Vega is an awesome trainer - knowledgeable and motivating without being yelly or unfriendly. I’ve been working with him for almost a year! The gym itself is one level (except for the yoga room and locker rooms) so it may look chaotic at first glance but everyone is respectful and the space functions well. It also gets good natural light!

I joined Grindhouse a year ago and began training promptly with Nathan Gibbs, who I want to give a shoutout to here. Nathan’s expertise in kinesthetics was integral in healing a chronic knee injury I had, and has since been instrumental in me building a significant amount of functional muscle over the past year. Nathan is extremely knowledgeable, dedicated to his client and training, and flexible to what your goals and needs are. On top of all that, he’s a great vibe to train with. Grindhouse has a great layout, great staff, a wide variety of machines to use, and a positive atmosphere. In my opinion it is the best bang for your buck in the Williamsburg neighbourhood. As someone who usually doesn’t like going to the gym, going to Grindhouse makes it enjoyable and training with Nathan has made it worthwhile.

I wanted to love this gym but I guess not. I tried their free 3 days trial. The gym itself is packed with lots of equipment, plenty of space to work out and even a sauna ( the best part). During my trial (which I only attended 2/3 sessions), the staff gave an unwelcoming vibe and their maintenance team is great….but it would’ve been better to not clean right under me while I worked out lol(dangerous). I think the vibe in here did it for me the most (maybe I’m projecting who knows) but absolute fitness in Grand street gives a warm and welcoming vibe by their staff and even gym members. Will definitely be joining them instead :/

Terrible experience while cancelling membership. I told them 25 days before that I want to stop my membership. But apparently according to their "terms and conditions" it has to be cancelled 30 days before. And they proceeded to charge me for an extra month - even though I'm moving and I won't use the gym for that month at all. 25 days is enough of a notice - they just saw a chance to get another 1 month of gym fee out of me and they took it. You can do better Grind House!

Memberships are a little pricey, but still an Amazing gym filled with awesome equipment, serious gym goers, and friendly staff. Locker rooms/restroom/showers are nice & while small (1 person), they also have a little sauna room/nook that’s pretty cool.

Love this gym - favorite gym I’ve ever worked out at. And Danielle is the best - excited to train with her. Was super easy to sign up, fees are fair, and their cancellation policy is very reasonable and simple to do.
