Best Gym near Whittier, California

Such a great gym that’s 24/7, I love the atmosphere. The employees are very kind and welcoming as well. JON has been able to give great first impressions to my family members who’ve signed here at EOS. Thank you so so much!!

I really enjoy bringing my son to kids club. He never wants to leave. Thank you destiny,jayleen and Raquel. Kids club 10/10. Professionalism 10/10 safety 10/10 I would recommend being open Friday nights and Sunday mornings. All the kids club staff is welcoming and makes it easy to get my workout in.

Sophia is fantastic! She always says hello and goodbye. She greets me by my name and has helped me with questions regarding my account and questions regarding the gym. 💜👍🏼 Noemi and Justine are fabulous too….very friendly. Always greeted with a smile. There’s a new gal, which I don’t know her name yet but she is very energetic.

Great staff in the kids club, they are very good with my daughter and she always has a great time. I feel very comfortable leaving my daughter with them for the 2 hours I am working out. Destiny has been there since I started taking my daughter and always welcomes her by name and is very nice. I can’t complain about anything at all with the child care, gym is always super packed though

Love this gym. The price is affordable. The workers are very friendly and helpful. equipments are new they have a swimming pool, sauna and also have a hot tub, and many more exercise activities that you can participate in.

Basketball program for 7 year olds was great. Non-competitive, good for beginners. I love how clean the workout area is. Child care is a definite bonus.

Please provide a changing table for babies. Multiple changing tables. I don't understand how you can offer baby swim lessons and yet have nowhere for the mothers or fathers to change them. You do have a lactation room with a cot on the floor where I changed my daughter so that was nice. But there should really be changing tables in the men's and family locker rooms. Also please provide more seats for the parents that wait for their kids while in swim class. Many people are sitting on the floor or just standing. Very disappointed. Also every time we go the YMCA vans aren't parked in the designated Van parking spot, they are parked in the regular parking spots so there is less parking for us members. Please fix that as well.

This has been the worst decision I ever made I put my boys in Basketball and it has been a nightmare first of all they only have two teams so per other parents the other team has been playing together for years and because they requested to play together all the new comers we placed on the other team welll game 1 parents who were aware of this complained and the director sent out an email that she would be mixing the teams which she never did more parents and kids are complaining and the Aggression is bad on the court I will be asking for my money back

Today my client and I came to swim in the therapy pool the the remodeling of the women locker room is beautiful 😍 will definitely be back

This YMCA doesn't provide fitness for Seniors who have access to ONE PASS PROGRAM. It leaves out seniors of the Whittier Community. Not very nonprofit community sensitive of them.

Has really great machines, staff is pretty chill, restroom are always clean. Just wish the hours were a bit better, 8pm on Friday closing sucks and opening at 7am on the weekends. And there are just a handful of machines that need a little maintenance.

My go to gym. The people are friendly, and workers are helpful. Great environment. It’s not the biggest, but I’ve always been able to get the workouts that I need.

It's a great gym but the restrooms aren't really sanitized, still a great gym!

Can still get good workout in even though gym is small. Definitely needs some love and updating. Still my go to. GYM NEEDS TO STAY OPEN LATER

I have returned to the gym after many, many years of not going. I felt comfortable immediately. I wasn't quite sure what to do so I took advantage of a free training session with Josh C. He was patient and very knowledgeable about all the equiptment. I then signed up for a personal training session 1:1 with him. I am so glad I did. Josh designed a workout routine tailored for my personal needs. Everyone at that this club, Whittier location, is very friendly and helpful. Carlos, Tony and Josh are the best!!

I went here for about a little over 1 year and it is a great gym! I competed a level three season here. You can learn quickly and progress with all of their amazing gymnastics techniques I still do gymnastics as for I moved away and all of the good form and basics they taught me come in handy a lot. The coaches are super kind and it is over all a great gym with great coaches and great equipment.

I have taken my kids to other gyms but this one is the best one by far we have stayed with them for the past 2 & 1/2 years for both our daughter and now our son. And this is an average day for them

My daughter started here at 5 and she's steadily growing in skill at a pace more rapid than I expected. I don't understand complaints about smells; it's a gym for crying out loud. I do not have any issues with the facility. Parking can be challenging but not impossible. If I had any feedback it would be to improve communication and connection with parents. I have definitely felt lost in the 'what to do next' points. But that's a minor concern that I have resolved by reaching out and asking myself. My daughter absolutely loves this place. We've been here for a year and a half and she has already advanced twice. I'm a happy customer.

It is truly a great gym. And the other reviews that say it stinks, are irrelevant. It is a gymnastics center what do you expect? I'm sorry that 100 people go into those bathrooms everyday and that it doesn't smell like a hotel lobby bathroom. And if you are going to complain about a specific coach/office administrator then contact the business directly and don't expose them publicly. This gym is great and a good place to practice. And you should be aware of the policies before you attend.

My daughter has been attending gymnastic here for over a year already. In that year my daughter has missed about 4 to maybe 5 classes. Per session you are able to make up 1 class. However in the past the young girls working in the front have allowed me to make up 2 classes in a session. I have never complained about the poor parking and the super dirty bathrooms because the customer service in the front desk and the instructors are awesome! That was until today when I tried to set up 2 classes from this session. My daughter missed last week due to a family emergency. We had to leave out of town. This week my daughter has missed 3 days of school due to illness. I'm not going to bring in my sick daughter who has an ear ache and fever! VALERY said she will only reset 1 of the missed classes. She mentioned she runs the front office and the other young girls should have enforced the only 1 class re-set rule. I feel VALERY could of for this one LAST time only offered to reset the missed classes as good customer service. Instead she was some what rude over the phone and insensitive. NOT happy with the customer service at Eric Will's Gymnastic's at all.

I love my YMCA they have a very helpful, polite staff. I primarily use the warm pool as I have several old injuries, and the warm pool is a lifesaver! The lifeguards have all been fabulous and so helpful too.

Today to get some information of membership. The guy at the front desk is amazing. He helps very good answers all my questions. He’s very nice. I really don’t remember his name. I forgot but excellent service. at 5:10 PM and he was the only guy in the front very nice very courteous very respectful good job

Clean gym with a very friendly staff. There is a twenty-five yard lap swim pool & a warm water wading pool. Just joined & everyone is very friendly. The locker room is well maintained.

I love this place, and I have countless childhood memories of being here over the summers while growing up in Whittier. The summer camps that would be held each year were things that I looked forward too as eagerly as the holidays. I made tons of new friends each time I went, sometimes got to see schoolmates, and always got all the exercise that a kid who loved competitive sports could dream of. I would encourage every parent who has children to check this place out. I have no doubt in my mind that my YMCA experiences year played an huge role in helping me to development as a young man. Especially with regard to developing better social skills, and building relationships with others. Thank you to any long time YMCA staffers that may still be around from the 90's - and early 2000's! You guys are still a bright star that shines in my heart.

Great place for whole family fitness. While the kids participate in their individual sports we parents can utilize the weight room or cardio equipment while we wait. Its a win-win!

Walked in 2 staff members sitting talking by the front desk and a manager behind the front desk. It was not busy I was the only one checking in and not one of them acknowledge my existence. Bathrooms were comparable to a bus stop. The only good thing was toilet paper was stocked but seat covers were all over the ground. When I left it was the same staff members ignoring my existence. No smile or have a great day. Will do my best not to come back to this location. This was at Monday December 30th at 12:20pm I hope the staff gets better training soon.

The newer nightshift staff members are much more friendly and helpful than previously so kudos on that, but the variety of stations on the TV monitors is failing. If you stay in treadmills and cardio machines for long periods of time you are either looking at a broken screen, a "no service" screen or forced to watch biased news networks like communist news network CNN or MS-DNC. If you are going to be biased bring back Fox news to balance out the nonsense and use some of the membership money to replace broken tvs and pay for the cable subscriptions. Once these items are corrected I will increase my rating. Thank you.

Cool gym nice staff, can you guys shut off the soft water salt tank, its the only thing that sucks, is the soft water tank, hard water is better for our skin a very important organ. PLEASE SHUT OFF THE WATER SOFTNER. Oh and Charles I was here that day and time and you exagerated about the restrooms, they where not that bad and compared to the bus station, stop lying.

From my last review with 2 star: I would like to update your stars to 5! Thank you Planet Fitness WHITTIER location for handling the cold water problem. My PIC and I were pleased to find the problem🔨 fixed. Now the showers get nice ☺️and steamy. ♨️Satisfied.. Great to see these reviews get results. And so fast. ⭐⭐ "My PIC says the shower suckS. always cold water and never hot! please fix this! it's a big inconvenience for your customers who pay a membership every month for working hot showers. That's not right. Please fix!! Other locations have hot water. Puente hills, etc..."

This place is great. I was a guest. Everyone was very helpful and it was very clean. The machines I tried all worked. I'm thinking I will join here.
