This gym is so much more than a gym! The community and family that I have gained from the people here, both the owners, coaches, and other gym-goers has been amazing. I am in the best shape of my life, and absolutely look forward to every day I get to work out there. I would absolutely recommend for anyone who is looking to get started with exercise, or people who have been going for awhile and are wanting more.

My pre teen son has been doing the boxing class with Darrin for a few years now and it has been great. The class is very affordable, and has classes almost everyday so it fits our schedules easily. Darrin has been a very fun and engaging teacher while helping students to grow and challenge themselves. It has been a great program and gym.

I haven’t been to this location yet so my review is based solely off of knowing the owner Darien. I have known Darien for a while now and he is consistently trying to better himself and the people around him. He strives to help people through physical fitness. He has offered me help and invited me to boxing trainings on many occasions. The gym is smaller and because of that they are can build better relationships with their clients and there isn’t many gyms, it seems, with an owner like Darien who seems to genuinely care. Would highly recommend.

Darien with Empower Fitness has been a coach like no other personal trainer could be. He has taken training with me at a pace that I could maintain with no prior experience, yet still managed to challenge me at a level that constantly pressed me for improvement and self motivation. As a side note, the pricing for this gym is extremely competitive compared to block chain gyms. I've recommended numerous people, and will continue to do so for personal health, and mental health.

We have been taking our son to boxing with Darrin for 2 years and it is great. Darrin cares about his students all around not just running them through class. He makes it fun, teaches them technique, and teaches them to be well rounded, good kids. We highly recommend any of their classes.

Went to this gym for years. Originally signed up and canceled when I hurt my back. When I came back maybe 2-3 months later price went up like $5. During the few years they haven’t got any worthwhile new equipment(they got a punching bag and a self powered treadmill, never seen them used). They reupholstered the equipment but is still dated. So not sure how or why they’d raise the price(upholstered like a year after raise). Also while paying $28 I noticed they had a promotion for new members for $20 which is ironic. Oh and make sure you read your contract well! Hurt my back again and canceled well before the next charge date but still was charged, no refund and no sympathy at all. The only reason I stayed with it so long is because with my work schedule I could go at 3am when I’m off work. Also for less you can go to a gym with a sauna, massage table, more variety of machines, on hand staff, pool and better cancelation policy.

Snap Fitness is a hidden gem of a gym that's worth checking out. As a family-owned establishment, it's clear that the owners take pride in their gym and go above and beyond to maintain its cleanliness and functionality, despite not having an extensive selection of equipment. This cozy gym may not have all the bells and whistles of larger chain gyms, but it still offers a full workout for beginners and intermediate lifters with the equipment available. One of the great things about Snap Fitness is that it's one of the few 24/7 gyms in the area, which makes it convenient for those who want to squeeze in a workout at any time. Plus, by supporting this local, family-owned business, you're helping to bolster the local economy. I highly recommend giving Snap Fitness a chance - not only will you have access to a clean and well-maintained gym, but you'll also be supporting a small business that's dedicated to helping people achieve their fitness goals.

Pros: Low-stress atmosphere; clean; doesn't smell; respectful and easy-going patrons; open 24/7 Cons: Probably more expensive than it should be; might not have the exact equipment you're looking for I'm new to gym-going because I've never found a gym that suits my needs and personality. Most gyms in the area are massive, crowded, noisy, and smell like . . . gyms. So what other people were saying about SnapFitness caught my attention, and I've been really happy with it since joining. I'm not interested in going to the gym to socialize or be looked at, and this gym has been perfect in that regard. It's never crowded all the times I've been, and you can tell that the people who go there, while friendly and easy-going, are mostly just there to get or stay fit, and everyone seems to respect everyone else for it. They aren't trying to impress or judge you. I'm giving it four stars mostly because of the price. A bigger place like EoS offers a lot more benefits for about the same price or about the same benefits for a third of the cost, and it's also open 24/7. So if you don't really care about atmosphere, that's probably a better option for you than SnapFitness. That said, though, I feel like I'm paying for a uniquely low-stress gym experience I couldn't find anywhere else, so I'm staying put, at least for now. My only other gripe is that its small size means it can't accommodate a ton of equipment, so some types of machines that I wish were available just aren't. But there's something there for every muscle group, so there's not much to complain about.

Dana is amazing! She's super friendly and is always making sure the gym is clean and the customers are safe. I love that it's such a small gym, yet it has all you need and more and the best part... It's not crowded! It's affordable if you want to pay month to month, for 3 months at a time or 6 months at a time. It's nice that it's the closest gym to me since I do live so far West.

Been going here a little over a year now. Very happy with the condition they keep their equipment in. Nothing is ever broken for more than a day or 2. Very clean place compared to others I've been to. Moderately priced and truly open 24/7. The 2 ladies that work there Dana and Emily are always nice. I plan on going here continuously.

My granddaughter started taking beginning classes here just over a year ago. Her progress in cheer dance and tumbling has been amazing under Coach Ulbby and Coach Reggie's expertise. My daughter researched gyms throughout Salt Lake County before she decided on Forever Athletics. I'm impressed with the way they foster teamwork, kindness and unity with the athletes. My granddaughter loves the atmosphere and spending time at the gym. My daughter is thrilled and thankful that she found this amazing gym. Thank you Forever Athletics! Jean

This place will fraudulently charge you, do not do business with them, they will sign you up without consent. Absolutely do not give them your banking information. Consider warned! Absurd customer relations, they told my wife they registered our children for us, thats without consent. Fact.

Went in with hopes that my 3 year old daughter was going to not only learn gymnastics but have fun while doing it, but the TOTS Class was very disappointing and a waste of money. The instructors are young girls that honestly are terrible at instructing and are not so friendly. This place definitely did not meet my expectations unfortunately. Please hire people that will actually teach and instruct.

We went here during the end of COVID; we ended up getting really sick and my daughter even hospitalized, obviously I wasn’t sending her germs to class. I paid for 2 months because autopay but we didn’t end up going any more. I didn’t feel they were taking appropriate measures to minimize germs. When asking for a refund they said sure and they’d call me back, they called me back and said no. So they took my money in return for no classes, and sickness! Wouldn’t recommend. **Edit, I DID write this 2 years later as I am shopping around for a professional gym to put my child in to pair with homeschooling. But regardless of time, it doesn’t change the fact we paid for classes we didn’t attend and were refused a refund after someone on the phone told me I should have been getting one. As stated on the phone call (which happened after she had not attended several classes, not 2 years later) I was clear she had been VERY sick and in and out of hospitals working on a chronic asthma diagnosis. I didn’t think I owed anybody an explanation for why my student was dropping out, as I wasn’t using materials, or funds, and her “class” wasn’t competitive. we couldn’t risk the germs, or losing the money. But only one of those things I could control. Even if it meant eating $140, that said I wouldn’t recommend that to any family, especially ones who work hard in this type of economy. Hopefully you guys have made a positive change so parents don’t leave feeling the way I did. 🥰

Totally under-rated gymnastics academy. Great price and the most friendly instructors, and their communication with parents is unparalleled! My daughters learned so much and felt included. My oldest is very shy and was scared at first, but the amazing instructors helped her feel at ease around the other kids in her class, and she even made friends! I love that the classes are based on skill level rather than solely on age so they can progress more smoothly and actually learn in a more progressive minded way. We had to cancel when we moved away, but compared to other more predatory gymnastics academies, it was a painless process. I still recommend this place to anyone in the area looking to get their children into gymnastics. If we ever end up moving back, I will definitely be bringing my daughters here again!

iwent there a lot as a kid. i did MANY things there. preschool, gymnastics, tumbling, jazz, ballet, tap, hip hop, jazz, almost everything they have, honestly. I had my fair share of good instructors - but unfortunately most of them were bad. My preschool teacher was amazing, but everything past that was horrible. Nice people, maybe, but terrible at instructing. It was so, so physically demanding that it was ridiculous! they used to push me down really hard during stretches. A big problem with academy west dance/gymnastics teachers are they NEED you to be super flexible. If you are not super flexible, they are going to push. and push you HARD. oh, and don't forget, they'll make sure you get less parts in dances and routines BECAUSE you are not very flexible. Do better! especially to the kids who have disabilities.

This is a long story but so worth the read! We absolutely LOVE Academy West! What they have done for our daughter I can hardly put into words. We were with another gym for 7 years and after the last year we needed out urgently. My daughter is 13 and we decided to walk away from the other gym. After months of mentally breaking down my daughter (and other gymnasts) we couldn’t do it anymore. We walked out 2 weeks before the state meet. The previous gym offered zero solutions or help, wouldn’t let my daughter finish out the season. We found Academy West from one of our meets with them, their girls were cheering for my daughters old team and their support for girls they didn’t even know was inspiring! We called Academy West knowing my daughter likely wouldn’t go to state, we were wrong! Academy West took her in, gave her private dance lessons, taught her a new beam routine, and an entirely NEW floor routine in 2 weeks! My daughters love for gymnastics is back, her passion and self confidence has returned as well! I truly didn’t think we could turn her around after the damage from the previous gym, but we’re headed to state confident that she will excel! As long as we live in Utah, we will be at Academy West!

This gym has treated us like family since the first time we walked in. They maintain a family friendly environment and encourage each and every student to be their best. They show true sportsmanship at all gym events and competitions. The cost is fair for the services received. And they offer a variety of classes and services to help improve your athlete. I'd recommend for anyone getting into the cheer world or a longterm athlete. They always make practices full of fun and hard work.

I have been taking my daughter (9) and granddaughter (6) here for level 1 tumbling for about 2 months now. The trainers are wonderful with the kids as well as patient all while making sure they are progressing. They have all skill levels here practicing at the same time which is helping our kids to set higher goals for themselves. Great place, I highly recommend it.

I love this gym! I have been looking for a good place to tumble and have tried at least 6 other gyms and have been disappointed with each of them. I was recommended here from another friend who had a positive experience and I have been coming consistently for 3 months now. The venue is clean and spacious. It is an upbeat atmosphere and great for kids! But most of all I am very impressed with the coaching staff. I have worked primarily with Corey but have seen many of the other coaches with students as well. They are attentive, personable and supportive of their students. This gym is phenomenal for all ages!

Came for open gym, new location is really nice, great floor, and they're happy to invite people in who want to work on things like tricking, freerunning, cheer, or anything done on a spring floor.

I went to Micah to help with pain in my neck and hip. His NMR tools and techniques reduced the knots and helped alleviate the tightness. He is professional and thorough to ensure your issues are addressed. I highly recommend AWAY for NMRs.

I did a 6 month contract with Micah as my nutrition coach through A.W.A.Y. Athletics and had a wonderful experience! With a realistic workout regimen & meal plans, weekly check-ins, and 24/7 support, I was able to achieve the fitness goals I had always been striving for. Speaking as someone who has always struggled with emotionally eating/binging & body dysmorphia, I was truly able to mend my relationship with food, implement sustainable lifestyle changes, and drastically improve my self-esteem through the empathetic support and encouragement from Micah his expertise. Even after our contract has ended, I still have access to all my meal plans, am still able to reach out with any questions, and can schedule a follow up appointment to see how I’ve been doing on my own. 10/10 would recommend.
