I bought a crunch membership when I got back from college around May/june 2024. I spoke with a manager at crunch Springfield saying I needed a membership for the summer for I was returning to school and no longer needed one during the school year. I said I wanted to be able to bring guests and access all gyms. He took me to the office and explained that the membership he signed me up for has the following terms: can visit any gym, unlimited guests, and cancel any time. I made sure to double check that I can cancel any time because I leave for college and the man said I could. I asked him again “so if I come back in August to cancel my membership, it will be canceled for September right” and the man said yes. I went into the gym in August to cancel my membership and the same manager told me that I signed a contract where I was not able to cancel my membership. I was flabbergasted because he was the SAME GUY who told me I was able to cancel the membership when I left for college. I returned to the same crunch location 3 or 4 more times trying to cancel my membership but I was turned down every time. I should have read the contract I was signed but I did not think that a manger at crunch Springfield would LIE to a customer and wrap them into a year membership. . I ended up being able to freeze my membership for 3 months but the changes have started again. I was wondering if there was cameras that could pull up our conversation in the office or anything that can prove I was tricked into a year long membership by a lying, incompetent, and disrespectful manger who has shown me nothing but disrespect since I have brought up this issue. This has been a months long battle but this has severely impacted my opinion on Crunch gyms due to this one particular manager. Thank you for your time

Excellent gym. Very spacious and clean with all modern equipment. Friendly staff and sauna is great! No towels it seems like so bring your own. There are lockers and showers

Amazing gym, friendly welcoming. Also memberships include group fitness training, personal training and more. It’s terrific. I personally recommend trainer Sean. He is terrific, skilled and knowledgeable. I appreciate his intelligence and his easy-going friendly personality.

Best gym in the area by far. I’ve been a member of several and this one is by far the best one. Sauna, Massage Chairs, Clean Bathroom & Showers. Plenty of machines to choose from, ample space. Can get crowded on certain days, but it’s still manageable. The free space upstairs will make you feel comfortable enough to push yourself to your limits. Extremely friendly staff, helpful and experienced personal trainers. Parking is very accessible. Bri ✨, Atlas, Benji, Felix, Isiah, Patrick, Pat, all you guys make this place a great place to call my second home. 🏠 Owners are super fast to replace damaged machines as well. Cannot gas Crunch enough. The only thing I’d mention to watch out for is to be careful to not have too much fun. The gains here are legendary. In the past year and half I cut out circus peanuts from my diet, lost 180lbs and started taking my membership here seriously. Kings and Queens, Before you know it, you’ll have to walk through doors sideways because of your new boulder shoulders 👑

Overall, the trainers and other staff members have been energetic and helpful. My issue has been with the SCAM that is the management in charge of training. In September, I signed up for 3 months of training, 36 sessions for $1, 020. I paid in September and then a charge came up again in October and I thought it was a mistake. When it charged again in November I knew we had a problem. It was apparently a recurring $1,020 per month for the honor of of completing my sessions! Although, they don’t expire either way so it does not make sense. By the time I could speak with someone about canceling the training, I was told I would be charged again for December because it was past the 30 days before cancelation policy. I spoke with Kim and she had absolutely no power to do anything to help even though she is the training manager. Upon my insistence, she referred me to a regional manager named Pam. She would not give me Pam’s number so I had to try email. It has now been 4 days and nobody has gotten back to me. So unprofessional. I am not asking for a refund of the October or November payments. I am willing to take that as my fault for misunderstanding. I am, however, trying to stop being charged yet again in December. It was NEVER my intention to spend over $4,000 for training! Good faith business practices dictate that they could extend some courtesy here and at the very least provide better communication! In the midst of all this, because of terrible turnover, I am now being told I have to be reassigned to my THIRD trainer!! I started my training with Shelby and she was wonderful! Last week she moved on to a different job. She set me up with a motivating and fun trainer named Dante and today I find out now that he no longer works there! What are the odds they will place me with a third trainer with whom I feel comfortable! I want this whole thing to be canceled and my remaining sessions refunded (or applied to my membership), but that is hard to negotiate when nobody will answer my emails or give me a phone to call!
