Best Gym near Rowlett, Texas

I had a great experience with RTC! I signed up for an 8 week transformation and that was 7 months ago and I’m still going! It’s a great gym for all ages and fitness levels. I’m in my 50’s and while I’ve always been active I’ve never joined a gym and I’ve enjoyed it so much! All the trainers are amazing. They are friendly, knowledgeable and encouraging. The other members are very welcoming also. It’s a great atmosphere to get healthier in and see what you’re capable of!

I’ve been working out at RTC for a year now and I absolutely LOVE it. Travis and his team made me feel comfortable from day one. Of course starting at a gym can be very intimidating, but I quickly learned that everyone there is just like me, wanting to get in better shape and everyone was so nice. My workouts and nutrition are tailored just to me. Now having been at the gym for over a year, I can’t imagine my life without it. I’ve completely changed my body, losing over 40 lbs. and I’ve gained some amazing friends!! I owe it all to the amazing trainers!

Travis and his team of coaches share an abundance of knowledge and experience in fitness, health, and mental conditioning. If you’re looking for more than a gym membership, but a place where you’re taken seriously and pushed by coaches who care by turning your weaknesses into new strengths, then RTC is the place to be.

I joined RTC almost one year ago totally expecting it to be one more thing that didn’t work! I was feeling so overwhelmed and hopeless. What I didn’t expect was that I was joining a family!! These are my encouragers, motivators and friends!! And the transformation is just the icing on the cake!! Never believe the lies that you are too old to change!!! Oh and if you join, please find me!! I’ll be your cheerleader!!

While I have lifted weights for years, I usually only did the basics without really pushing myself further. And if I did, I sometimes ended up with shoulder or elbow pain in the process. I came here to learn proper lifting techniques with barbells/dumbbells to prevent injury while gaining more strength. The workouts that were geared for me have prevented boredom and pushed me to be the strongest I have ever been in my life. I have learned so many new ways of lifting to work various muscles groups and will continue to use this knowledge as I prepare to do this on my own. Never did I think I would be able to do a few unassisted pullups, but they got me there. Just want to say thanks to all the trainers who helped me along the way...Travis, Tracey, Dex, Keith, Christian, Kathy, and Jeremy. And thanks to the other gym members for cheering me on.

Visiting this Planet Fitness yesterday was an inspiring experience! My spouse and I, now retired, have been traveling across the country, and we've found that Planet Fitness facilities are a fantastic option for keeping fit on the road. While we've noticed that some locations struggle with cleanliness, we believe every Planet Fitness should uphold high standards in this area. With so many people using the gym, having a dedicated cleaner on each shift makes perfect sense. This facility truly gets it right! Imagine if Planet Fitness management encouraged members to serve as the eyes and ears while traveling. Our love for Planet Fitness continues to grow, as staying healthy empowers me to engage with these kids at 60 years old. Thank you, Planet Fitness! ❤️

I love the brand consistency of PF! My usual PF is Rockwall but this one did not disappoint - very clean, laid back, and open machines. Highly recommend. Disfruten/enjoy! 💪🏽🔥😎🏄‍♂️

The facility is nice. The staff on Friday night however is not. I go to multiple locations and this is the only one that has bugged me about having my gym bag with me on the floor. I had to hear it twice from two different workers acting like they were having a panic attack over something so trivial. The bag wasn't even in anyone's walking path, I'm always very aware of where I lay it so no one trips. Will never be returning to this location. Sad.

Since moving to TX, I’ve had a difficult time finding a gym to call home. I’ve found a hidden ceiling fan camera at LA fitness in Sashe, and the price point at Lifetime Garland was just too much for the long term for us- so I tried planet fitness here in Rowlett. I am beyond happy so far. It’s been a few months and I’ve never felt more safe, comfortable, clean and happy in a gym environment. I look forward to getting to come to the facility each week and think they’ve done a wonderful job at upkeep, staffing, customer service and cleanliness. 5 out of 5 stars for sure.

The facility is very clean and organized, which is why I chose this location due to its proximity to my job. I often go there do the workout and take a shower before heading to work. However, the issue I have encountered at Rowlett's location is that the water in the ladies' room shower is cold most of the time. On several occasions, I have had to shower in cold water, and due to the cold weather, I was sick for almost two weeks last time! Please address the issue with the cold water in the ladies' room shower!!! I think the management don't care about the cold water... that is so sad we spend our money but they don't care! If you want to take a shower after your workout never ever chose Rowlett location!!!!!!! I told them the management over and over but nothing is changed!!!
