Best Gym near Round-lake-beach, Illinois

Today was an amazing experience. I was leery at first because I was a member at Xsport and I had to migrate over to LA Fitness. But the experience I had today was ever better than I could imagine. Clean locker room, showers and work out area. Even the staff was amazingly nice. Migrating over from Xsport my mom’s membership didn’t convert over as promised from Xsport. Yet the young ladies helped us out with that as well and told us the manager would call us. Overall don’t believe these horrible comments just come you will be happy! 😃

I have the One Pass through my insurance company and the LA Fitness in Round Lake is the WORST gym I have been to. The gym area is dirty and unorganized, the locker room is dirty, and the pool is dirty. If the Health Department stopped in they would probably shut the place down.

Great overall appearance. But one thing is lacking….. NOT ENOGUH PUNCHING BAGS TO USE WHEN THE OTHER ROOM IS BEING USED FOR A TWO HOUR CARDIO DANCE CLASS AT 6pm!!!! Utilize the other room as a designated class instead. Or install more punching bags for others to use!!!!

The gym is cool the main issue the locker room smell like a garbage dumpster. I couldn't use it. The Main culprit carpet in a locker room, a haven for bacteria and germs it doesn't work in a locker room. The other LA fitness don't have that issue because they all have hardwood floors easier to clean and disinfect. You probably also need a new ventilation systems for your locker rooms.

My review is for Denisa the trainer/aerobics instructor. She is super nice, easy to talk to and walks around the gym with a big smile on her face. She never leaves your side when you’re in a training session with her and talks to you as a cool friend. She is number #1 in my book. 5 thousand stars ✨

Good location with parking. Nice staff and new equipment make the spacious gym an enjoyable place to workout.

The place is nice and the people are nice. But they seem to have a problem keeping the same workers. It seems like every few weeks there brand new people working there. So we tried to cancel our account with a guy whom was fired and doesn’t even work there anymore. Whether he canceled the accounts or not like he said he did, we don’t know. We do know we have not stopped being charged and now they are requesting late charges. We had to get the bank involved.

The gym is ok, gets extremely over packed. Staff is great, management has to go. The older gentleman takes his job waaayyy to dam serious, they are now taking peoples ID. If you don’t give it to them they will not let your guests in. To be honest I’m gonna switch gyms because I feel like that should have been in the information b4 people sign up. They do over charge and they are constantly changing there procedures and you will see a lot of new employee faces, all there employees are looking for something else and they can’t hold trainers for the life of them. They have to get new management because that first interaction can affect your experience at the gym. Recommend looking elsewhere where guys

I am writing to express my deep disappointment with the services at this location. About a month ago, I visited to cancel my membership, which I had not used. I was assured that my account was canceled; however, I am now being charged for both the monthly and annual memberships, as my account is still active. Despite numerous attempts to reach a manager while out of town, I have faced excessive hold times of nearly 20 minutes and have not received promised callbacks. This situation is unacceptable. I demand that someone in authority contact me as soon as possible to resolve this issue. My contact information should be available at the branch due to my repeated calls. Thank you for your immediate attention to this matter.

My girlfriend was changing in the red light room when she noticed a camera being angled towards her. This camera was able to see her as she changed. When front desk attendant Bill was notified he quickly went on the defensive, prohibiting my girlfriend from getting a photo of the cameras angle and was able to change the cameras angle. I'd be very cautious about using this gym. Thanks for preying on women Bill! This was 2/1 at 7am. If you used the red light room and change near this time, I have bad news. Do something management.
