Best Gym near Riverview, Florida

We've been going here for over a year and we love it! 😌 Staff and fellow families are friendly! Coach Jayden is so patient, and he does so well with his group of girls ☺️ He is able to give each student the 1:1 attention that they need to thrive, while also giving them their independence, all while in a group/team setting. I love that gymnastics gives my girl (5) a space to use her energy while also helping her focus, build strength, follow directions, and bond with other girls her age ☺️

My son has been coming for a year, since turning 9, with the goal of bettering his body control to supplement wrestling. I have taken notice of significant improvements since starting. It was slow to come at first, as he only attends one class a week; but, overtime he began to catch on with consistency. He grew more comfortable with his body movements and completes moves/exercises with much more confidence now. Most importantly though, he has fun here and it's a nice break for him from our other club.

My daughter just fished her first year of competition team with Bay City after a not-so-great experience at a different gym, and it was the BEST decision we have ever made for her! She fell back in love with gymnastics and has LOVED every single coach and teammate. She has been able to learn and correct different techniques and different skills and always has a blast. They have such a great family atmosphere, and my daughter is so excited to go to her class every time. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

My daughter has loved participating in the parent and tot class the last few months. Each week the instructor has fun and creative stations for all the kiddos to try, she never gets bored with them! Watching the other classes and groups practicing has been a delight. Everyone we encounter has been so kind, welcoming, and helpful. We love Bay City!

We have been going to bay city since 2019 and everyone I've encountered has been super sweet and coached all 3 of my kids. Coach Robin is phenomenal!! Everyone from the front desk ladies to the summer camp coaches are great! I send my kids here every summer. 5 ⭐️ 👏👏

Honestly. I have felt so uncomfortable at several gyms. I joined this gym this past weekend and I do not regret it. Everyone was so welcoming, including Veronica, and Coco! This will help me a lot to achieve my goals. I had my first 1 hr session this morning with Justin. He was so helpful and very attentive every step of the way! I appreciate him and all of you. I thank you, and I am happy I made the right choice choosing this gym!

This gym was great when we first started going, but our overall experience has gone downhill quickly. They have over-sold their memberships to the point that the machines cannot even be used without a 20 - 25 min wait or having to circle the gym multiple times to find a different option. You cannot go in to this gym with a workout plan as most of the equipment has a wait. They only have two Smith Machines, so you will never get near those. The only have 5 benches for bench presses, so those are impossible to get to. The massage chairs, generally 3 out of 6 are always broken. The leg compression machines leak air and won't stay connected. They have limited supply of free weights and kettle bells. No mats to warm up on or do floor exercise, so you are out in the open area while people are trying to walk by to get to machines. The overall experience of this gym is not pleasant. I have reached out to management, all the way to corporate and just received lip service. At this point, we are looking at other gyms so we don't have to fight large crowds and circle a parking lot for 10 minutes, just to enter a gym that is so busy you can't even use the equipment.

Great machines and options for workouts if you can get in. It's always packed to an exaggerated degree at this location and we just pulled our membership after only a few months because of this. My idea of going to the gym isn't to go in circles around the parking lot several times to find a parking spot, or to sit in line to wait for a machine to open up, or to go in circles around the gym trying to find machines that are available. The gym sells memberships cheap to get more people to join which unfortunately means it is always jam packed. For us, it made for wasted/dead time that we're not willing to pay for. When you are a 9-5 working person, and your only time to work out is in the evening, this may not be a good fit for you unless you're okay with backed-up Disney World lines to use machines... We really wanted to love it because it is so close to home and a cheap price.....but now we know why it's so cheap. At this point we rather pay more at another place and always have access to machines.

So I’ve been coming to this gym ever since it opened, and everybody here has always been super friendly, even the members. The equipment is top-notch and even when the stuff breaks it’s fixed in a timely manner. Unfortunately, I will be having to leave this gym as I’m moving to a different city. I was sweating going up to the front desk because I know how cancellations can be an issue when it comes to the fitness centers. Tori, Rachel and Doug helped me out and it literally only took me three minutes to complete. I still have one month left out here. They didn’t tack on any outrageous fees or cancellation fees. I just paid my last month that was it. Yes this gym can get ridiculously busy, but understand is busy for a reason. I would definitely recommend this gym. Tori has been here for several years and she runs the gym very efficiently.

I've been coming to this gym for a few months now, and I have been more than satisfied with the place! The machines are many and varied, the premises are clean, there are SO many classes to take, and the people who come here are overall very nice and respectful! I feel comfortable whenever I walk in. Additionally, I would like to make sure to recognize my personal trainer, Claudia. I've been on a little weight loss journey, and it's been such a genuinely fun experience with her. She listens to me and pays attention to how my body works, all while keeping a cheerful and positive training environment. She almost feels like family at this point! Truly the gem of the gym.

I had such an excellent experience with Mike the manager, He was able to quickly fix my situation and get my membership back up and running! I 100% recommend coming to this location! Phenomenal customer service and a great atmosphere at this planet fitness!

"I had a fantastic experience at Planet Fitness, and Hunter was a big part of that! During my first visit, he gave me a thorough tour, patiently answered all my questions, and was incredibly friendly. When I returned almost two months later to sign up, he remembered me and welcomed me with a big smile. The gym is always clean and quiet, and the members are respectful, which makes for a great atmosphere. My only suggestion is that the General Manager could use a bit of customer service training to better match the warm, welcoming vibe of the rest of the staff. Other than that, it’s been a great experience – thank you, Hunter and Planet Fitness!"

I joined F45 last month, and I’m absolutely loving it! Huge shoutout to Coach Mike for encouraging me to join—I’m so glad I did and wish I had joined sooner. The coaches are incredible—always motivating and super supportive, no matter your fitness level. What I love most is that every class is different, so you’re never stuck in a boring routine. The workouts are challenging but fun, and the energy in the room keeps you pushing yourself. It’s been a great experience so far, and I’m excited to keep going!

I ❤️ F45! Every workout is different and focused on strength and/or cardio endurance. I started at this location a little over a month ago because I had to stop running due to chronic foot/ankle pain after several tendon/ligament tears a few years ago. As a high-intensity junkie, I was afraid F45 wouldn’t be as intense as I wanted, but it has surpassed my expectations. And on the amazing side: The workouts have been easy on my foot, which is now doing great without the constant running!! They offer plenty of classes, and it’s easy to schedule one — unlike my last gym where the group classes booked up in minutes of being open to online scheduling. It’s also not “cliquey” like you find at a lot of other gyms. People go there to workout, so entering for the first time is not at all weird or awkward. Highly recommend trying out a 1-hour Saturday hybrid class because those are my favorites! Update: I have to shout out one of my favorite trainers: Mikenzie! She's super friendly, cheers us on when we go heavy, and always encourages us to go up in weight! She typically does the 5am-9am classes, so I'd recommend to join one of her classes if it's your first time!

I would love to give Thanks to F45 for encouraging me to get healthier. They really do push you and I definitely need that push to keep going. All the coaches are absolutely great! They really do care and really do want to see you get better each day. Thank you I definitely will tell all my family and friends on considering to join the F45 family! 😊

I’ve been going to F45 for over three months now, and I love the challenge it brings. The group sessions create a great sense of togetherness, and the instructors are so encouraging—they really push me to do my best. It’s been an awesome experience!

F45 Riverview has become my new gym home. The studio is well-maintained, the trainers are encouraging and supportive, and the workouts are challenging. They offer a variety of workouts at convenient times. The trainers show modifications to exercises to accommodate for fitness levels. I’m excited to continue my health journey!

Absolutely love this gym with only one major issue! I’ve had no issue with the gym itself, but two doors down there’s a Barber Shop and without fail I’ve seen some of the men grotesquely make comments to myself and other women of course making it feel uncomfortable. I’ve been there during the day, Been there during the night and it definitely felt more unsafe at night. Of course it’s a concern if someone came in behind you, it’s more of an isolated side of the block. There is a security system in place which I think is great and is at most 24 he gyms— as a woman, something to note— just stay safe and on guard since nothing is really stopping someone coming in when the gym is not staffed and that really would be my only biggest concern — there’s parking in the back, which I thought would be more safe than the front, but I felt more vulnerable. The entire entrance / exit is lit but be situationally aware leaving at night! As for inside the gym — The gym feels clean from the bathrooms to the sauna themselves, even all the machines and equipment. I would recommend always wiping something down (since we are dealing with LOTS of sweat here 😅) just like normal gym etiquette, even prior to using it however, everything is very clean and you can tell all the staff ensure that this is the case. Mixed group of people, which is really nice all different ages and walks of life.. the staff is on the younger side, which can give the impression that this gym might not be as well tended to but that is not the case —it really is a great facility. Owned by a husband and wife only met the husband and everyone seems very friendly. Initially, it was hard to gauge the gym etiquette in understanding the aspect of booking classes with someone else, especially if you don’t know them and it being awkward to be in one sauna with a stranger.. I’ve yet to be in a sauna with a complete stranger however, as the gym is getting busier, I think this will become more of a normal thing. I see other people talking about wanting more of a community atmosphere and yes, of course that’s something that maybe the owner should consider to organize, but as of now it’s actually really peaceful and quiet and an awesome place to come and feel like you’re really just focused on yourself, especially if you need it.

Love HotWorx! The staff and owners are great people who really care about your fitness journey and goals. Always are friendly and make you feel part of the HotWorx community! The classes are great and you can burn so many calories in a fraction of time!! If you haven’t tried a class yet, stop for a class you won’t regret it.

Absolutely love Hotworx! Love the concept and love that I can just come a veg in the sauna too to meditate, relax, do own yoga flow! The classes are awesome and challenging if you want/need that! Staff and owners have always been awesome and so helpful! I always feel soooooooo amazing once I leave and even the first step into the sauna!!!! ❤️

HOTWORX is such a good workout. You sweat and burn so many calories in a short amount of time. This location has super nice owners and staff and facilities that are always clean. I highly recommend HOTWORX Riverview!

I absolutely LOVE Hotworks in Riverview!! Everything is always clean, the staff is always friendly, And I love getting a workout in the infrared heat sauna rooms. It’s amazing that I can go anytime, 24/7, and catch a workout video, and feel the burn … literally. The area for independent working out is also spacious and has lots of equipment, so if I want to change things up, I have those option as well. Plus, taking a post-workout shower is also an option. Highly recommended!

I signed up for a class for Power Cycle. It's close by and thought I'd try it out. Located in a shopping plaza off 301 is a very convenient location. Easy to find. I attended the "Push it to the limit" class with Erika. This class was absolutely amazing. I was sweating 5 minutes in. The music was amazing. I was able to keep up even though I more of a beginner. When there were some intermediate/advanced moves, I just rode. The seats are a little bit uncomfortable so I recommend bringing a cushioned seat cover. (maybe it's just me, I thought I had plenty of cushion back there). They have an area for kids and a blender bar. They do offer package plans as well based on usage. All the awesome benefits in one place.

Power Cycle Fitness is so much fun! I’ve been there 3 years & Yes we work hard but it’s so worth it! My body has toned up so much & it doesn’t even feel like a workout, they have bomb music! You’re learning new moves & building Confidence everyday. Plus they offer Step aerobics, Strength training Bootcamp & more. Power Cycle Fitness helps take some of the overthinking from your daily workout routine. All you really have to to is show up ready to WORK 💪🏾 Oh yea… you can grab a healthy meal & protein shakes there too they are super yummy 😋

There is no place like it! Not only will you get a great workout, but you also get great support! ALL of the instructors are engaging and encouraging! Whether it’s your 1st time or 100th time, you won’t be disappointed! Let’s not forget the Nutrition Bar! It’ll be hard to choose because there are so many choices - health is wealth and with PCF you’ll feel like a Billion dollars!

I love Powercycle Fitness Studio and ALL of the Spin Instructors. They are helping me achieve my fitness goals, hands down it’s the best in the Tampa Bay Area. They offer daily classes as well as beginner classes & you can also get your Protein in after a great work out at their Nutrition station. I would definitely recommend checking them out.

My family and I have been here since they opened, we absolutely love the atmosphere, the staff, the family environment and the guided expertise. I don’t have to worry about bad form because the coach walks around and insures that all exercises are being completed correctly to help prevent injuries. There’s no mirrors so I can focus specifically on my workout and not what I look like. I love that I can book ahead on the app too so I don’t have to worry if the gym is too crowded. Kids class is wonderful! Coach Diogo and Coach Sofia are always pushing the kids to do better than the day before! The events are a BONUS! They help reestablish everything we’ve worked on and at the Arenas we get a wonderful Brazilian BBQ!!
