Best Gym near Perth-amboy, New-jersey

Locker rooms were disgustingly filthy, when I used the toilet I was inconveniently surprised to not have paper to use. When I finished my workout I went to shower and was AGAIN inconveniently surprised to find absolutely no soap in the dispenser! This isn’t the first time at this location, but today drew the line where I had to say something. The floors in locker room were extremely dirty as well. told the manager, and all I got was a stare with no apologies!!! Horrible experience!

Great gym! However I am noticing the water fountains look dirty for this whole past week. I am unsure if that water is filtered so it would be great to update water fountains so the public can know how clean it is. There is never sanitizer in the one where you walk in. The stairs and rails need to be cleaned as that is where we all walk in from and it is not swept or cleaned, looks dirty. The women’s bathrooms stalls/toilet need deep cleaning! I put my coat in bottom locker and it came out dusty because it appears lockers are not being cleaned! This gym is great but ensure is is clean and sanitary and well stocked with sanitizer /wipes! Also please deodorize the entire gym and clean windows. This is all important for public safety/cleanliness!

Staff is very friendly and professional. Gym is very clean. Staff comes around disinfecting equipment and floors every 2-3 hours. Most clients wipe equipment before and after use, that helps to keep gym sanitized. Equipment is in very good condition. Gym is never to crowded or over crowded. I gave it 4 star because every place has room for improvement. OVERALL Love this place!!

Unprofessional manager, Lyzze is her name. After me being a member for over 2 yrs, paying this establishment with no problem always on time. They decide to tell me I couldn’t come in because I’m my daughters guest and she wasn’t there. Mind you I have 2 yrs going in by myself. LYZZE HERSELF HAD ALLOWED ME IN. But they had new employee that notice told lyzze and lyzze just turned me away like if I wasn’t a paying client. She didn’t even have a friendly face when explaining the issue. I don’t understand still don’t understand how I was able to go workout for over 2 yrs!! Multiple staff members always let me in including her!!! She was not kind and unapologetic. Maybe next time smile and accommodate the client with empathic demeanor. I CANCELED MEMBERSHIP ON THE SPOT. Horrible customer service!!

I hate this place. Owner shouldn’t be an owner. No water fountain for u to take a sip, u gonna have to buy water. Equipment isn’t maintained very well. One squat rack and the key for the entrance sometimes don’t work in the middle of the night. Canceling of membership is a nightmare

If you sign up to this gym please be aware of the cancellation process. If you're going to cancel your membership you have to let them know 30 days (not 29 days lol) exactly 30 days in advance and pay an additional extra month despite you not even using it. Just be cautious of that.

If it was possible to give this place no stars I would completely unprofessional, I work second shift and I don't get to the gym till after 11 but at that time theirs still an employee there who is working out I tried asking her simple request like turning on the fans in the gym when she straight ignored me I turned the fans on myself mind u the thermostat in the gym read 86 degrees I'm all about getting a good workout but it was so humid in there you couldn't walk through this small gym without sweating like u poured water on head. She told me we wasn't allowed to turn on the fans and that she would have to ask permission from her boss to turn on just the fans , which she never even did. Last night the thermostat read 85 no ac , broken dumbells everywhere, Machines that need maintenence. I've called a few times to speak to the owner they say he's never there. I'm looking for another 24hr gym I rather drive to another town at this point.

Too many loud arrogant obnoxious kids. Nobody was reracking their weights either. Nobody was wiping down equipment after using it either, between the gym being a breeding ground for bacteria and the toxic environment I think I'll go back to planet fitness.

This gym is amazing and I recommend it to everyone I know! It has lots of space and equipment and is very clean! All the staff is always so helpful and friendly! I love coming here!

Our swim team has an excellent coaching staff, and we regularly participate in competitions, which helps swimmers grow professionally and compete against the strongest athletes. We also have a great pool in Perth Amboy with plenty of lanes and a comfortable water temperature. My son loves being part of Freedom.

Freedom Aquatics has been a great part of most of my life.  I have been surrounded by great coaches and teammates my whole career, especially Coach Nikolay, Coach Maria, and Coach Sue.  Being a Freedom Aquatics swimmer for 10 years, I can say that practices are structured well for all age groups.  At each practice, Freedom Aquatics coaches make sure to focus on both technique and conditioning.  Freedom Aquatics helps swimmers develop into great competitors and teammates in and out of the water.  Overall, this team has helped me reach a distinguished level in the water, and gave me a great foundation to be able to continue my swimming career in college at the D1 level next year.

Highly recommend Freedom if you want your child to receive proper swimming training in a positive and nourishing environment. All the coaches are highly experienced, attentive, respectful, but also push and keep discipline during practices to achieve results.

The Strongest people from Perth Amboy workout here! It's a known fact. Every time they leave they get weak n small.
