Came here for a quick gym session since I was visiting my gf (I'm normally at the Jersey facility). The gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The gym itself was clean and bright. The main floor is all cardio machines, and downstairs has some machines for the chest, back, and legs. The top floor consists of free weights, cables, and benches. All in all, it's a very nice gym and convenient.

Pretty solid gym. I was able to workout as I needed and there is an ample amount of space and equipment. I feel like fellow gym goers are willing to drop gems on different movements if you pay attention, so that might help newer gym goers. The gym itself is pretty clean and I was able to workout everything that I needed to. Keep it going.

Hot water has been out all week at this location. A gym needs a hot shower. They charge an extra "maintenance" fee annually but they seem annoyed that I keep asking when the shower will be fixed.

Way too many cardio machines and too few benches. Only 2 benches for a gym this size is absurd and there's always a line. Lots of the treadmills are broken anyways as the belt slips when running. Again, they should replace them with more benches. They also really need to put curtains in front of the squat rack by the window because it's unusable for much of the evening during peak hours due to the sun. You can see people avoiding that rack. I've told the staff this and they claimed they'd pass it along to management, but nothing has changed.

One of the worst places I have been to, always packed with no no room to actually workout. Went to the locker room to change and found out I was robbed with my lock clipped. My stuff got stolen, staff didnt help and wanted me to pay on top of been robbed a fee to cancel....manager always have an attitude and not helpful at all.

wonderful gym, amazing staff, great equipment, everything is super, but there is a but, men's shower stalls are not cleaned at all, New York sanitary standards are violated like a joke, every shower smells of mold and urine. Sanitary standards for processing and dysentery are completely absent, there is no hourly disinfection, there is no bleach or chlorine, and there is also no soap in all the tanks, the shower curtains have not been changed for a long time, they stink like one of them stuck to the body, it was terrible. I have a question for those who go to this gym. Aren't you disgusted?

Love this place! It’s so clean and full of useful equipment, they keep updating things around here every 3 months. And I swear, whether it’s new weights, new plates or new machines. They stay in top of their game by making sure you’re getting the full experience. I have been here for 9 months now, and I have seen about 3 new changes so far. New plates, new bars, new soft terf for people to work on the floor. New machines etc. plus yesterday was my birthday 🥳🥳🥳 and they got me a free protein shake. I’m in love 🥰

This is an overdue review for Harbor Fitness Park Slope. While the short version is that it’s a great place—highly recommended for workouts—here’s the long version: This place makes me happy. The equipment is standard—neither bad nor exceptional—but what truly makes this gym stand out is the community, staff, and personal trainers. The morning crowd at the Park Slope location is fantastic; they spread positivity and encourage each other. I want to express my gratitude to my favorites at the front desk: Melody, Eric, and Douha. Luis, the most hardworking staff member, is incredibly inspiring. Personal trainer Sam helped me with about four classes, setting me on the right track. A big shout-out to trainer Lana for her positivity and kindness. Lastly, I love the sauna. In summary: it’s the people, not the machines, that make this place exceptional. The Park Slope branch is absolutely great—go work out there!

After negative experiences at other local gyms years ago I decided to join at harbor park slope and it has consistently given a premium quality experience. The facilities are well-kept and well-rounded to be able to accommodate any kind of fitness, whether it’s a large selection of equipment, open spaces to train comfortably, classes or general wellness attention. The personal trainers specifically deserve recognition. Rather than experiences I’ve had elsewhere where I felt like trainers were always looking for opportunities to charge me $$, the trainers here are dedicated, attentive and knowledgeable and the experience really feels like you’re learning to dial in your own personal fitness goals manageably. Not to mention their dedication administratively when it comes to accomodating schedules and specifics. Well worth it!

I really think this place has potential, but one squat/deadlift area? One cable machine? No incline leg press? No flat benches? Children (10-14) running around unsupervised using equipment incorrectly and loudly? Equipment is so squished together and there’s so much space that could be used better. I wish there were more options near Windsor terrace, but this place is really it if you don’t want a studio. Pre teen boys take up so much of the place. Please enforce supervision for kids. This isn’t a daycare. *edited to add* the studios are wooden floors with mats that slip around. The plyo box is so dangerous and there is only one. I have seen the plyo box slip out from people while working out. Hitting their heads on a wooden floor. The studios desperately need flooring. The gym also needs more than one sturdy plyo box.

Beware!!! This place is "ALL ABOUT THE BENJAMIN'S"... not community. The summer camp registration was a belittling experience for my child and I. I filled out an application for my daughter to attend summer camp. I paid a deposit of $200 to secure her spot for after/before care for the 3rd session. I never received any correspondence because they had my email address wrong although I spelled it out correctly on the original application. I had to end up changing my daughter to the 4th session because the 3rd session was starting the next day. In addition, I filled out a financial assistance portion and no one got back to me at all. I emailed Leticia D and she totally ignored starting they ask me why I didn't finish the paper work. I told them how could I when my financial assistance form was ignored. I asked for a refund and I was told by Marisol no problem that all I needed to do was send an email requesting the refund. Well..... it's been five days and still no refund!!! I called Marisol and explained I sent the email and she said yeah I saw your email but offered no resolve. I want my money back!!!!!!! I was completely humiliated and disregarded because I'm not one of the affluent customers they usually serviced. On top of that my ten year old daughter was disappointed. I am extremely annoyed and I will do whatever it takes to get my refund from this shady establishment!!! Lastly, I deliver mail to this location periodically as a mail carrier and they won't even let you use the restroom if you don't have a membership. YMCA you should be ashamed of yourselves and the way you treat people.

Great location for group classes: Yoga, Zumba, Cross fit, spin & more. Free weight room & treadmills. The Drill Hall has been transformed into an indoor running track with basketball hoops units center. Ping Pong tables. Day care & loads of classes, programs for kids. No showers. Bike racks.

If you're an adult, here's what you need to know. They boast 6 hoops, but 3 of them are down for like 2 years now because of a sinkhole. This also removes 3/4ths of the Track and the rooms/space associated with the sink hole. Additionally, if you want to play basketball, you basically have one hoop in the morning as they have decided to let pickleball take over an entire court. So, if you want to use that hoop you either have to get there at like 6am, or shoot with a bunch of people, it's way too crowded. Next, you have voting booths all lined up there during the day, taking up even more floor space in the fieldhouse. Don't forget that DOE owns this place I believe, so they have kids recess from 10am-2pm everyday of the week. So, you basically can get on the courts from 2-3pm, and then they open it up to Kids again and it's a zoo. The machines during the 4-7pm timeframe are all packed, as most people come here after work. So, I think if you work from home, or can do the 6am time, you can make it work, but if you are just a regular 9-5, it makes zero sense. The price also keeps increasing. When I first started here it was like $59 a person, it's more expensive now. The gym is clean is enough, the staff are nice too, this gym could be amazing with all of the space they have, but it is so poorly utilized. I also think kids should be outdoors for recess if they are able when it's nice, the gym should be a backup.

If you’re currently looking for a gym to start your New Year’s resolutions this isn’t it. 3 out of 12 treadmills are currently broken. The tv channels are non existent unless you’re into watching spectrum news or PBS children’s shows. Twice I’ve seen and heard people taking work calls loudly while on the bikes. Look elsewhere for a gym. I know I will. 02.16 Two weeks later the same issues persist. I told the person at the front desk I wanted to cancel my membership l and she pointed me to a tablet to do it myself. Do not expect anything from this crunch location.

So they have this sign outside that says stop in for 1 day guest pass, I went it and they said I have to pay 35$. Make it make sense, the staff didn’t seem friendly or professional, I would avoid this location if I was you.

Was really happy with this gym! I like that it's usually not too crowded. Staff are nice and the locker room is clean. Also really liked the classes I took here — nice instructors and not intimidating. Would definitely recommend. Had to cancel because I'm moving and I appreciated that that experience was seamless too (I know some gyms make it a headache to cancel).

Went on a Sat afternoon/evening. Wanted to shower at the end because I had plans to meet up with a friend. Needless to say, bring your own towel on weekends 😂. Each towel basket (tower) seemed to have just been ignored all day long. I will be looking for other gym options, although I really really had hope for this location.

I’ve been a member of Orange Theory for a while now, and it’s truly an outstanding place to work out. The service is exceptional, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Blair, the manager, has been fantastic—always attentive and ensuring that everything runs smoothly. Naomi, the trainer, is absolutely amazing—knowledgeable, motivating, and genuinely dedicated to helping you reach your goals. Hannah is also incredibly friendly and always makes me feel at home. The cleanliness of the club is top-notch. It’s clear that the team takes great pride in maintaining a clean, well-organized facility. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced, the support and environment here are second to none. I highly recommend Orange Theory to anyone looking for a great fitness experience!

OT Park Slope has surprised me in the best way possible and taken me out of my comfort zone in many ways - which is a beautiful thing. I cannot stress enough how much I despise ANY type of workout, ha. I have been comfortably practicing the same type of hot yoga for 20 years now and just decided to introduce something new to my 44 year old body. In the short time that I have been taking class here - barely a month and 15 classes so far - I noticed that I already feel stronger in my body and more “even” when I walk - people with injuries will understand this. Also definitely have more energy and do not feel as sluggish. I think the gym is great, not too small but also not too big. I can be invisible on days I don’t feel like being noticed but also receive instructions on days I am open to them. The floor exercises can be confusing at times but I just try to do my best and then inevitably I feel great after class. The best part are the humans who work here. I love how different each coach is in their coaching style but also in their taste in music. If I had to pick a favorite it would be Will or Maddy. But never a sub par experience though. I really enjoy this (NOT during, but after haha!) and will keep returning. Thank you, OT Park Slope.

Other Crunches I’ve been to are much nicer than this one. Main issues are with the old/janky equipment and lack of space/machines for strength training. Switched from another gym because I got an exceptional promotional deal. It’s worth at a much-lower-than-normal price, but not at the standard price. There isn’t enough strength equipment for the number of people who go (just 2 bench press machines and about 6 regular benches), and as other reviewers note, everything is old and the machines are often broken or not working properly. The cardio machines are also of inconsistent quality, but there’s enough of them that this isn’t a huge issue. Been to a couple Crunch locations and this is clearly the worst of them.

Apparently, people are not allowed to work out without a shirt. I had surgery and can barely stand having a shirt on. Nor was the manager there to help me, and there was no one at the counter for check in. They have an entire sauna, so it seemed perfectly reasonable, as in any other gym, to have your shirt off, especially when you have to pay over $100 monthly. Nor did they mention this during in-person enrollment. Extremely disappointed and will be waiting for my full refund.

I’ve been a member of crunch for years now, this is by far my favorite location. The people who work here are awesome, so friendly and the place is kept clean. They’ve got a pretty spacious functional fitness area for city standards. & the price is way more affordable than the other gyms in the area while still offering things like sauna, shower products & towels.

It's fine. As other reviews have stated, some shady stuff goes on where they say they sent a letter notifying you of increases in fees but that's not the case. There are sometimes issues with the equipment sticking or not being maintained well (rope attachments super frayed, bathrooms without paper towels, lots of hair and dust in the class rooms), and front desk is very hit or miss. There was a period of time where they clearly paid for fake reviews to boost their score on Google. Good thing is it's a convenient location and they have some great teachers. Never have seen an employee rerack anything and the trainers (not all) will often inconvenience other members (standing in the way, doing a circuit with their customer on 1 of 2 bench press stations for half an hour, using a bench to hold their phone and water) or just demonstrate bad gym etiquette. Lately there's been chalk all over the weights area and several areas of the floor compress down and are a tripping hazard. All in all, it's average, but priced high for the experience. If they brought in a good manager I think it would do wonders for this place.

I’ve been going here for I don’t know how long - seven years at least. Very happy that they’ve added a third bench press - it was much needed! Solid gym. Main criticism is that it’s impossible to sign up for classes, they’re always full.
