Best Gym near Overlea, Maryland

I’ve been going to LA Fitness for several months now, and I can confidently say it’s one of the best gyms I’ve ever been to. The facilities are always clean and well-maintained, with a wide variety of equipment. The staff is friendly, and the trainers are really helpful. I met Jennifer and she was fantastic! If you’re looking for a trainer who gets results and makes the process enjoyable, she is the one! I feel motivated every time I go, and I’ve seen good progress since I started!

LA fitness is an amazing gym. Everyone is very nice and accommodating and it’s a pleasure to go in exercise and feel great. It is very neat and clean and everything is available easily. I love the pool and the pool classes were fun workouts. I recommend LA fitness to everyone, especially at that location. Thank you for taking care of us.

Today, I took a tour of the Perry Hall facility. It was built over a year ago, therefore it’s fairly new. I decided not to join though. I started working in customer service out of high school back in the 90’s so customer service is very important to me. I received the bare minimum today. I entered the facility and the front desk attendee told me to walk back to see Jen, who would be giving me a tour. She was engaged in a personal conversation at the time. She was not expecting me so she didn’t know my name. She didn’t ask if I had any goals though I have been training off and on for years. She didn’t ask normal questions that should be asked to get to know your potential client. I’m a right below knee amputee, and there’s currently a lawsuit pending against LA Fitness regarding their lack of accessibility. I noticed the same at the this facility despite it being new. This should NOT be an issue in 2025. Merritt Clubs is a handicap accessible facility with better customer service. Sometimes, when these companies are expanding they are so focused on the opening and getting sales that they miss the mark with basic stuff.

I walked in to LA Fitness to purchase a membership and Jennifer was the first friendly face I saw, very welcoming and respectful. She helped me feel better about getting into the gym and helped me with my membership! I had one of the best interactions with her! She made me feel safe with starting my journey in LA fitness and everytime I come in she welcomes me and asks me how I’m doing! I recommend this LA fitness to everyone I come across! Love this gym! Jennifer is a great person and always welcomes me in. She motivates me to do better at the gym. She convinced me right away to get a membership at this location. Definitely recommend signing up with her.
