This gym is a disgrace. There are plates, ropes, dumbbells thrown all around the floor, you can barely walk in certain sections. It’s a mess. The machines are straight up on top of each other. You would be uncomfortably close to someone else if you were on any of the machines on the turf. You can’t even have a proper workout. This gym is way too small for the amount of machines they want to shove in here and way too small for it to be this unkept.

It's been a few years since I've done my last review, so I figured I'd update it. This gym has become a second home to me but it's not without faults. The morning front desk staff are always great and friendly. The community of early morning regulars is also amazing. They're incredibly motivating, and the camaraderie is pretty awesome. Whether I need a spotter, some workout advice, or just a chat, I can always count on them. The sense of belonging and shared fitness goals here is truly special. However, there are a couple of areas where I think this Retro could improve. First, the absence of a hack squat machine is a noticeable and inexcusable gap, especially when comparing it to other gyms on Staten Island. Adding one would be a significant improvement. I've been to about 5 other gyms on Staten Island in the past few years, and ALL of them have a hack squat machine, aside from this gym. Please get one as soon as possible. It's an essential gym machine. Additionally, the middle greenspace area tends to get overcrowded with random equipment, making it challenging for multiple people to use it effectively. A bit of reorganization in this space could make it more versatile and appealing. On a somewhat frustrating note that's not the gym's fault, some members still don't re-rack their weights. This is a simple act of respect for the gym and fellow members, and I hope more people will take this to heart. I've also had to come during lunch hours and the gym becomes extremely crowded and sometimes the younger kids that come at that time spend their workout time texting rather than actually doing their workout and end up hogging gym equipment. Again, have more respect for fellow gym members. They offer daily classes throughout the week, but you need to follow their social media accounts or check out the signs within the gym to see what and when. This Retro has a lot going for it, with friendly morning staff, a motivating morning community, and good equipment maintenance. Some room for improvement exists, particularly in adding a hack squat machine and reorganizing the middle greenspace. This Retro has become more than just a gym for me; it's a place I look forward to visiting every day.

As sign for membership never been told for annual fee. I even as front desk twice. Until today, they just charge me for 61dollar more money for not even sign out for a year! So, bad cancellations take time. This is real bad gym I ever been! Also, this third party store! Which it is not really main store! Do not ever go again. Even I live around the neighborhood! Also, tell my neighbors about this gym! Really bad!

I’ve been attending Orangetheory (Richmond studio) for over a year, and I can honestly say it’s been a game changer for my fitness journey. The workouts are challenging yet motivating, and I always leave feeling accomplished. What truly sets this studio apart though, is the incredible staff and coaches. They are so welcoming, knowledgeable, and always ready to support you no matter your fitness level. The coaches make each class feel personal by offering helpful tips, adjusting the workouts when needed, and celebrating your progress. It’s clear they genuinely care about each member's success. If you’re looking for a place where you can push your limits in a supportive, encouraging environment, this studio is the place to be!

This Orange Theory location is my favorite on Stan Island. The atmosphere and the staff It’s so welcoming and positive. People who attend the gym get along with each other very well it’s like a small gym family. The workouts are amazing. The themed workouts are fun. The coaches are very motivating and anytime I have a last-minute emergency The staff is so understanding.

I have been a member at Orange theory for a little over 3 years now. It has been the ONLY fitness program that has kept me motivated to reach my goals. The sales associates are more than accommodating and helpful, and the coaches help you push yourself to reach your highest potential. It’s more than a gym, it’s a lifestyle. You begin to see your gym pals multiple times a week, and it makes you excited to get there and show up. I have brought almost all of my friends to try a free class, and 3/5 ended up signing up themselves. No matter what fitness level you are at, the coaches and staff will work with you to ensure you have a great workout. I could not possibly recommend Orange theory any further than I already do. It has changed my life!!! 🍊🧡🍊🧡

I've been a member here since 2020 and it's my favorite gym/work out class that I've been to. The staff is great, from the coaches to the front desk. Everyone is super nice and helpful and you're always guaranteed a good workout.
