It serves its purpose as a casual place to go to, but way too congested, and you can’t always do whatever exercise you want, messing up routine. You’re better off going to a less commercial gym.

Good gym to get in, exercise, and get out. No frills.

In the summer time it's extremely hot!!!! Only some areas of the gym have air conditioning. Smh Y'all need to improve on that.

I’m in Virginia Beach for a few weeks, thankfully there’s a Planet fitness near my house. The location is conveniently located near the main roadways. The entire gym is clean, great condition, machines are new, weights are in their proper places. The staff is really friendly as well as the people in the gym working out. Definitely a location that I will come back to when I’m in Virginia Beach. Batman approved!!!! Additionally the pricing for planet fitness is affordable and they have locations throughout the US. There are additional benefits like tanning and others that can be added to the monthly membership. Check it out

If i can give a 0 star rating i would have. this gym is disgusting and very unsanitary. they never clean the bathrooms, floors, lockers, or any equipments. There is never any paper towels or wipes to clean the hands or machines. They are so bad in their service and very cheap in maintenance. Half the machines are broken and take weeks to months to be fixed. I gave them so many trials to see if they will get better but no luck there, so it has been month after month and the same result which is extremely disappointing. I will never come to this gym again and this location ruins the LA-Fitness reputation and name. This is a friendly advice please do not go here, there is so much better places elsewhere.

Man, looks like we have some fake reviews here so let me give anyone interested in joining a legit review. I can’t remember the last time I wrote a review, but this gym is so disgusting that I had to really take the time to do this. If you care about cleanliness then this ain’t the place for you. I actually had no choice but to litter due to the fact that all of the trash cans were overflowing (see photos). This is my home gym sadly, and it’s truly a disgrace to say I pay $50+ monthly for this. Management has clearly gotten away with bare minimum but it’s getting out of hand. Maybe because this gym is located in such an isolated area ownership doesn’t care, but my goodness. At least 20 machines are currently out of order. The sauna has not been working for a month. This place has been open for like 3 years and they still have a “Grand Opening” sign still up, just to let you know how lazy this place is. Dumbbells? Yeah good luck, have fun going on a scavenger hunt looking for those. Trust me you’re better off going to Planet Fitness 5 mins away, and I never thought I’d recommend that gym to anyone but here we are. LA FITNESS, PLEASE DO BETTER.

Been going here for a couple years now, great spot! Management is responsive, other members are respectful and the new cleaning guy is a rockstar… 10/10 I’m going to be back again

This place could be amazing but equipment is always down for maintenance and is never fix with in a timely manner. You would think with all the money they make with all the specials they run and all the people that come In they could fix things with in a weeks but it takes months you end up waiting more for equipment. Coaches and sales people are not the friendliest. Hours here gotten better . No running air to cool the place down summer can get brutal. Pool looks green and never clean. sauna smells like something died and poured milk in years ago. This gym needs better management. Would not recommend. In all honestly planet fitness sound like a luxury gym

This gym has wholly the worst, most abysmal, dishonest customer service that I’ve ever experienced. I’ve been trying to cancel a service with them for over a month. When I signed up, I was told that it would be simple and easy to cancel this service for any reason. I was not shown the contract that I was signing, I was just told to initial in places, since employees were “explaining” it to me. I asked many questions about how to cancel for various reasons. They said it’s easy to cancel and/or get refunded if I needed to. But this was all verbal signing over the employees computer. BIG MISTAKE!!! It’s basically impossible to get in touch with anyone (can’t get to the appropriate person in the gym at the right time, and can’t ever speak to someone at corporate). But in the rare occasion that I can actually get through to someone, I’ve been thoroughly dismissed. Everyone who works at corporate will lie to you. They will just try to scam you for money. PLEASE go to another gym and avoid la fitness as a whole if you can!!
