Best Gym near Kapolei, Hawaii

Update 1/4/2025: still a miserably bad product from 24H fitness. This gym would FAIL anywhere but Hawaii, simply because of how bad it is maintained and the absolute clowns that “run” it. Terrible terrible terrible facilities management. Never seen such bad dust accumulation on the fans and equipment. Fan dust wouldn’t accumulate if they used them! No AC either!! This gym would be great if the management gave a crap about it. Machines always broken, dirty facilities (for being brand new, totally unacceptable), and for whatever reason- money most likely, they don’t care about a single members ability to get a good lift as long as they have the fire department max capacity in here every single second of every day. There is roughly a 1-2 hour window at any point of any day where you can lift in peace without 600 members crowding the place and hogging machines while they swipe on instagram. Slow the growth. It’s absurd and I won’t be renewing

Corporate 24 Hour Fitness Leadership back at head quarters. This review is for you. As a business owner my self I understand that I can’t expect company goals to be met when I don’t provide adequate tools for my staff. I know 24’s goals - drive membership and keep members. This is a crowded gym with lots of members with Hawaii Rates. The staff is great!!’ 5 Stars for them. If standing around waiting for equipment where a form of fitness - 5 Stars for that. Again - Corporate 24 - support your Kapolei team by fixing or buying new equipment or hiring staff to service equipment. I believe in redemption. The time stamp of this review will indicate how long these machines are down for. Happy to take down my 1 Star when machines are up and running. The Kapolei 24 Hour Fitness is an absolute gem! As one of the few gym options in the area, it's a lifesaver for locals looking to stay fit. I'm particularly impressed by the gym's equipment, especially the Olympic lifting platforms that are perfect for strength training. I’ve found that visiting in the mid-morning is ideal, as the gym is typically less crowded. While some reviews mention overcrowding, I believe it’s about timing and flexibility. If a piece of equipment is unavailable, simply switch to another exercise and return to it later. It's a great way to keep your workout dynamic! The pool is an unexpected bonus. It’s an excellent cardio option and is almost always empty, providing a peaceful escape within the gym environment. Additionally, the gym's affordability makes it an even better value. The staff is friendly and creates a welcoming atmosphere. I wholeheartedly recommend the Kapolei 24 Hour Fitness to anyone seeking a convenient, affordable, and enjoyable fitness experience. For what it is, Five stars!

Abby was fabulous! She wasn’t super pushy in trying to sign me up like some have been. She listened to me & had simple practical solutions. I have never used a personal trainer in 30+ years of working out, but I am seriously considering signing up.

After joining and seeing the cleanliness issues, ekkk. Managment needs to step up. The men's locker room and showers have an immense build-up of gnats, fruit flys clinging to the ceiling. Mold and mildew build up in the shower, wet and dry sauna. Disappointed 😞

Orangetheory Fitness Kapolei is the best studio. The staff and coaches are amazing. You don't only get a life changing workout, you also become part of the ohana 💕. You'll always see me there 😜

Sheer unfairness. They billed me for 3 months after a cancelation. Then when I called to clear this up, they told me it's all my fault and even pulled out bogus calls /messages never recieved from them. Don't trust these companies like this. Will not be going back.

Incredible coaches and staff!! We have been to many OTF gyms and this one is hands down our favorite. They know your name, give you fist pumps, positive vibes and lots of aloha. Cant recommend enough!

What’s not to love about this studio?! My husband and I have been members since the new location opened up in Ka Makana Ali’i. Knowing that OTF was going to be coming near the home we were purchasing was the tipping point that motivated us to move to Oahu from Hilo (Big Island) from the amazing front desk staff, the awesome and motivating coaches, the owners Colleen and Danny and of course the incredible members. I always look forward to my workouts and love being a part of this community. Truly nothing beats the workouts. I’ve tried many gyms and this is the only one that always keeps me motivated and seeing/feeling results is an added bonus. So grateful to have OTF Kapolei! Cheers to health and splat points. :)

Parking - Since Google took me to Wendy's...Park in front of Olive Garden. Take the walkway on the left of Olive Garden. Walk straight into the middle of the shopping center and you'll run into it.

Been going to this gym for a year and a half. Honestly disappointed there were zero improvements in my time here. I'll give slight credit to cleaner bathrooms in new management but no new machines, treadmills and some machines broken for months. Rusty machines and plates. I even spoke with a regional manager after leaving a review and nothing had been done and no follow up. Seems like they're ok with taking money but not putting it into the gym. Kind of sad taking advantage of people that live in the area. I'll be canceling my membership next week. I gave this gym so many chances and it's been let down after let down. Manager seems to only be professional when regional managers or owners are watching other than that acts like she owns the gym whenever I've spoken with her. If you been to the Aiea or town location you know this gym isn't worth the money. TLDR : It's sad this gym has so much potential but in the end is a let down. Save your money and sign up for KROC center only thing good about this gym is 24/7 even then quality isn't worth your money FYI 70$ a month for TWO YEARS. Picture is of 3 treadmills broken all at once for WEEKS.

Nice small gym with 24/7 access. Heaviest dumbbells are 120lbs, so it's good enough for heavy lifters. Plenty of free weights. Staff is very helpful and nice!

Aggressive marketing. Small and dirty gym on the second floor that’s really expensive. Wish I didn’t sign up. Playlist is garbage. Carpet in a gym shouldn’t be allowed and pda needs to be enforced bad.

One star is generous but I would rate it in the negatives. Anytime Fitness is in the business of taking your money and snaking their way through the process. They never answer your calls until days later. They rush you through paperwork and trick you into decisions. They are very rude and the management staff needs better training in customer service. Find a better gym. They will lock you into a 3 year contract then make it very difficult for you to end once it's done. Stay away from them. 24s and UFC are way better.

Quiet, clean, and lots of equipment. Hope it stays in business!
