Best Gym near Hendersonville, Tennessee

This YMCA has NO hot water in the showers. Luke warm water at best. Ever since the Tornado in December 2023 that damaged the Sumner County Hendersonville YMCA it hasn’t been fixed. No excuse to have cold / Luke warm water in the showers. Especially when they just RAISED the price again on January 1st 2025 like they do every single year. Price goes up ; Quality and service goes down. And the staff need to be more friendly at Hendersonville. Rude front desk staff. Don’t even greet customers as they walk in. The cold showers issue has been brought to Management and staff’s attention NUMEROUS times. And nothing is ever done to fix the problem. They just throw the blame on the “CEO” and direct all complaints to go to him.

This is honestly the worse YMCA I’ve ever been too nationwide, The front staff is incompetent. EVERYTIME I come in to use my nationwide program they have no clue what they are doing, every time there’s an issue. I’ve been to 60+ locations and never had an issue, when I say my name I get checked in and so does my kid but not here it’s either they gotta call or can’t find the notes in my name which there is because other YMCA locations can find them but yet this one can’t? The gym is tiny, there’s not enough equipment, the gym etiquette here by everyone is terrible including the older generation. They lay towels on machines and will go around and talk while not using it, I get you’re trying to workout but you need to take this serious or leave the gym to have a conversation instead of taking up machines and equipment that people are trying to use. The staff here is also rude, The only pleasant part of the staff is the childcare. They are always wonderful, but front desk has no idea what to do. The gym STINKS, backroom with all the machines smells like stale piss, The locker rooms are gross. I’m not sure how this YMCA has such a high reputation. Ive seen it better at planet fitness and that’s setting the bar low, No wonder the other gyms on the area have more business. Because if you look at the other reviews you’ll notice that the workers have terrible attitudes. Good luck!

Classes, plenty of exercise equipment, Swimming and Therapy Pools, jacuzzi, steam room, sauna and locker rooms. Staff that is always at the ready to assist with sincere pleasantries. Thank you. I am very satisfied with my membership at the YMCA and hopefully you'll love it as well.

Love the Water Fitness classes, the awesome teachers, the therapy pool, the hot tub, the steam room, the friendly staff, the gym, and the EGym! I have met many members who have become dear friends!

Their egym weight equipment is an easy workout weight circuit to help maintain and build strength. Egym automatically tracks your progress for you and the circuit keeps you moving without having to wait on a machine. Also pool walking is fabulous.

Friendly staff, love the entryway when you first come in (so welcoming), and the massage chair was the best one I’ve sat in yet! I travel and when I pass through I stop at PF. Would definitely recommend and will def be back if I come through again. Thanks so much! PS so happy to see blow dryers in the bathroom. It’s the little things!!

BEST OVERALL GYM FOR THE MONEY! I recently switched from the Y for several reasons; more equipment, more variety of equipment, better hours and lower price. Staff is always helpful and friendly. A special shout out to the following FAB four: Gavin, Luke, Griffin and Jacob. These guys take customer service to a whole new level!! They are incredibly efficient, personable and helpful! I don’t know where you found the FAB FOUR but please hire more people like them in the future and they all deserve a bonus for being the very best ambassadors you could ever have for Planet Fitness!!

I've been a member of the Planet Fitness in Hendersonville for a few months now, and I must say, it's been a pretty solid experience. The gym is always clean, which is a major plus for me. The staff does an excellent job of keeping the place tidy, ensuring that every visit feels fresh.

I would give this location 10 stars! I travel through out the US and this is one of the best Planet Fitness' I've been to. Large and extremely clean fitness area. Dressing area is great, rug on tile floor in the dressing room is a plus. Love the massage chairs, hydromassage beds and free wifi. Shout out to Desiree, she was so helpful and so awesome!

This location has the best staff, they're very genuine and care about their members. Custodian always keep the premises clean and the equipments in its proper place. They have been really understanding, and welcome to me and I would highly recommend having a gym membership in here.

I’ve been a member of this gym for several yesrs now, and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience! The facility is always clean and well-maintained. Plus Edwin is always welcoming in the early morning and greets all the members by name. Highly recommend!

Crunch is an amazing gym. Everybody that I talk to is friendly and supportive. It is a great atmosphere for me to feel included and be able to reach my goals

Just dropped in while on vacation. Front desk staff were super friendly and the process to check in went easily so I could get straight into my workout. The gym was super clean and people actually put their weights away and clean equipment after they are done. If I lived in the area this would be the gym I pick.

Very pretty place on the inside... took kids there to be in a wedding... some people walked in off the street and asked one of the kids if they sold food there and where to find the restaurant (he had no idea) ... this is so messed up because we were the only black people there.. but that doesn't mean we're staff... we could've been guests as we were...sooooo... what I'm trying to say is... this place ain't for everybody...

This place was awesome. My cousin had their wedding held here and everything was wonderful. The place was spacious with beautiful views of the golf course with also huge patio balconies.

This is an old school country club. It's almost like you've just taken a trip back to 1965! Or at least genteel affluent Southern living in 1965 :-) Personally, I dig that vibe! And have had many fond memories from events held at the bluegrass country club.

Very nice golf course. Great staff that are helpful and friendly. The carts are in good condition and nice driving range. No cash card only is about the only downside. At the 18 hole Thomas (staff) came over and cleaned our clubs. Just that additional service was nice to see.

I can't say enough about how happy I was with Bluegrass. With Kat's help, we set up a rehearsal dinner for 40 people. She was enthusiastic, easy to work with, and open to new ideas. The food was delicious, and the service staff was attentive, kind, and professional. Crystal and Austin handled everything in the room with class. The space had good sound, a piano, and plenty of lounge areas to sit - indoor or outdoor. Lanterns, wood pieces, votive candles, and vases were just some of the small details that we gladly used. Coming from out of town, I was extremely appreciative that they received my packages throughout the week. This event went off without a hitch because of the great venue and staff. Thank you!

Wonderful place to have a birthday!! Very nice space and the kids had plenty of room to run around and play. Our party helper, Hadley was wonderful with helping us set up and making sure the the party ran smoothly. Would definitely recommend having a party here.

We celebrated a granddaughters birthday here and the kids had an amazing time. They have a pit with foam blocks,which has a run way that is also a trampoline, bouncy house. Clean restrooms an a very friendly and professional host. The children loved it.

Staff was very nice & helpful with our son's birthday party. Regular room is pretty small for a birthday party if you have more than 10 kids coming. There could be better/more signage pointing out restrooms. Coat hooks and small shelves for children's shoes would go a long way in providing convenience for parties.

Love the new location. Kids had a great time at a friends birthday party. Really clean and huge open space. Taking a star off because I was very disappointed to discover they did not have any changing tables in any of the restrooms. I looked in all 4 bathrooms and not one changing table. You would think that a business for kids would anticipate there may be younger siblings in diapers. Hoping they get one soon.

My daughter has cheered at cheerville for four seasons now and we have had several birthday parties at different locations. They have the best coaches and staff in the business for cheer. As far as birthday parties go, we are always very happy with our experience and love the option of inviting as many kids as we want with ample room to play and run around!

Everything is here The pricing structure is bi-weekly or you can buy a whole year and save $$, the only “downside” is it’s not 24/7 and closed holidays. But let’s be real most of the loyal gym goers go to their buddies 24/7 those one off days. Equipment-bathrooms-100%✅✅😍 Rogue is even here! A motivational place for sure. Come try it out if it’s been a while

The gym looks AMAZING after the remodel! It is so clean and aesthetically pleasing. I love the hammer strength equipment. PLUS childcare and select classes complimentary to all of the members??? You can't find a better deal than that! I also love that I can bring my best friend with me every friday for free. There is no gym like Gold's Gym.

Been a member here for years due to the convenience of location. This gym isn’t owned or run by anyone who cares about the place. They removed group classes because of lack of interest 2 years ago, installed new weightlifting equipment, and now they’ve tossed all the equipment in the middle of the gym in a messy pile to bring back the classes. If you’re looking for a gym community look elsewhere.

I LOVE LifeCycle! It fits into my schedule since I work during the day and I especially love how it’s inside Gold’s Gym. This is my first time being in a Gold’s Gym and I’m impressed with everything! The staff is SUPER friendly and sweet! They always greet me when I come in! I love Kristie and Shannon from LifeCycle! They were the first to greet me and bring me in like family, the classes are amazing! I always feel refreshed and energized afterwards! The LifeCycle community is so sweet, everyone takes care of everyone and that’s what I love about this group! I’m always coming to classes excited for what’s next! The evening classes are super awesome and definitely energetic! Try a class with us! You won’t be disappointed!❤️

I LOVE Gold’s Gym Hendersonville!! Friendly yet focused atmosphere, management and staff are amazing and super friendly, and equipment is the best around. I have been working out for a little less than 6 years and this is the best gym i’ve been to. 100% recommend to people who want to start working out and to experienced gym folk 💪💪💪

Burn Boot Camp change my life completely! I love the fact that keeps me disciplined with showing up everyday! I love the fact that all the trainers are always there supporting you, motivating you! I joint boot camp in November and I don’t regret it, I started my weigh loss journey in January of 2024 but was only doing cardio at the time! With 47 camps done I already see results! Burn boot camp is now my new lifestyle routine ♥️

Burn Boot Camp Hendersonville is the place to go for workouts that will challenge and push you to get stronger every day. Jeremiah creates 🔥 workouts with motivating playlists. All of the trainers are friendly, supportive, and encouraging. The community around you also supports and motivates you each workout. I’m so glad I joined Burn and I can’t wait to see how much stronger this year will make me!

This place is AWESOME!!! Great instructors all around. They are there to help whenever you need it!! The staff is exceptional too!! Super friendly as soon as you walk in to check in and the child watch is fantastic!! My boys love going there. So happy that my wife Sam and I joined!!

First time visiting Burn Boot Camp in Hendersonville. Amazing time!! Glad my wife dragged me in today. 😂 Jeremiah was an amazing leader. Definitely will be trying the 30 trial membership

The staff is amazing and always makes sure everyone feels comfortable and appreciated. I love the workouts, but would really like to see more class options on the weekends.

First-time customer review: I adore this place so much that I bought a 10-pack for $199 and received two additional classes as part of a promotion. The only drawback is the heart monitor, which they sell for $139, whereas it's only $49 elsewhere. Additionally, if you purchase a monitor elsewhere, Orange Theory has a policy where their equipment is not compatible with other monitors. Despite this, the overall experience at this place is fantastic.

I have been a member of Orangetheory Fitness for over 7 years and have attended classes at more than 25 locations. I have never seen a location with such a strong coaching team as this one. Head Coach G Head Coach G is a true motivator. She brings energy and enthusiasm to every class, and she always pushes me to work harder than I thought possible. She has a great sense of humor and makes class fun, even when it's challenging. Coach Sus Coach Sus is another great coach. She is always positive and encouraging, and she has a great music selection. She is also very knowledgeable about fitness and can offer helpful tips and modifications. Coach Val Coach Val is my favorite coach. She is a great teacher and makes sure that everyone is doing the exercises correctly. She is also very supportive and always makes me feel like I can do anything. She always corrects my form and makes me feel confident in my workouts. She is a great coach for beginners and experienced athletes alike. She is always patient and encouraging, and she always makes sure that everyone is getting the most out of the workout. She is always positive and motivating. I am so grateful to have Coach Val as my coach. I also appreciate the fact that this location is always clean and well-maintained. The staff is friendly and helpful, and they always go out of their way to make sure that I have a great experience.

Amazing. The workout is different everytime I go. Coaches are attentive and knowledgeable. They make sure you're working out with correct form. It's like having a personal trainer. The people working out with you are so nice. It's not intimidating to attend like other gyms in the area. I would recommend to anyone who is looking to switch gyms or who is getting in shape for the first time.

Top notch facility!! They've just had a recent re-model with an excellent upgrade to the treadmills, so now you'll know your stats from those as well as your overall workout stats. It's pretty awesome to see how your pace changes over time. The front desk staff are all super friendly, and the coaches are amazing!! I have my favorites as well all do, but every coach there does an EXCELLENT job!! I'm overweight which can be tough to go work out in a class, but let me tell you I have no fear here!! I always feel safe because they are constantly looking over everyone in the gym. There are also always modifications (if needed) and if you need more, just ask! Just some cool tidbits about the place: neat orange lighting, multiple tv screens to help model the weight floor moves and track your heart rate, perfect climate inside (never too hot), awesome music that gets you pumped, lockers, nice bathrooms and showers!! In one hour I walk away feeling like I've accomplished more than I could possibly ever on my own! I also don't feel as though I'm going to collapse because the workout is perfectly structured to target specific goals without overexertion. This is the best 1hr workout I've ever completed, which is why I keep coming back!!

Coach Jordan and Coach Maddox are wonderful! Both are patient, kind, and excellent with kids. They close class with a prayer which was incredible and such a blessing.

Our 7yr old has LOVED this gym!! We could not have found a better location, and Coach Sean and Coach Maddox have been incredible coaches. We attend weekly classes, as well as a couple of the summer camps, and our kiddo can't get enough. The coaches work with all of the kids where they are at, and help them build their strength, skills, and confidence. The obstacles are challenging AND fun, and they change it up to keep it fresh, and there is something for everyone- from beginner to pro!! We've tried a couple ninja classes at local gymnastics gyms, but GOIF is exactly what we were looking for!!

Coach Lucas and Coach Maddox and Coach Jordan are the best coaches ever!! We absolutely love Get Over It and have been coming for years and will be here for years to come.

The coach, Sean, is so great. My kids love the classes. I love the flexibility that I’m not tied to the same day and time every week.

Absolutely love Coach Sean! The kids have tons of fun, and are also constantly improving their skills. Coach Sean is always encouraging and motivates everyone to do their best. We love it so much that I started taking classes, too. Ninja days are our favorite days of the week!
