Best Gym near Hackensack, New-jersey

Usually packed and the crowd meter doesn't work at all. Could've been a larger space. Machines usually go weeks/months without repair as well. Otherwise friendly staff and typically pretty clean.

I really like this gym. The atmosphere feels a bit more private compared to other Planet Fitness' I've been too. There's almost always machines available so there aren't any issues there. The place seems pretty clean from what I seen. Staff is usually walking around wiping each machine. It's a nice experience coming here so if you are a bit more reluctant of going to gyms, try this one, it won't disappoint.

I like the gym close to my house but please make the gym bigger the updated version is so much better and has more weight and more space to work out. Thank a loan out do whatever to make me comfortable to going back. I pay and don’t go cause is pack and everyone is waiting for a machine or weights.

This place absolutely sucks! Worst staff ever. They have the biggest attitudes and are oblivious to paying customers. Most Horribly ran club I’ve ever been to. Cancelled my membership immediately. So Many other better gyms and options out there. Retro fitness is way better down the street. Skip goin here at all costs! Thank me later Update: Read owners response. Your manager is already aware of the front desk staffs awful behavior and no action was ever taken. Your Manager is just as bad. If you are really the owner, why don’t you read the other reviews on here that agree about how nasty your staff is and clean house / hire new people and stop being oblivious to your own business. Good place to work out. Some people literally sit on machines and use their phone at times and it gets annoying when you’re planning on hitting certain machines in kind of an order while doing sets, but whatever. Membership was late by one day because I forgot, and I didn’t have my card, staff still let me in and I paid when I left with no issue. Good place with PLENTY of parking.

I wanted to take a moment to thank you for the excellent experience I had at your gym while my regular club was closed due to a fire. The facility exceeded my expectations in every way. The equipment was in excellent condition, with a wide variety of machines and free weights that made every workout productive and enjoyable. The gym was always clean and well-maintained, which created such a welcoming environment. The culture of cleaning after themselves and kindness of people to each other is also there. A special shoutout goes to Wane, who made my visits even better with his warm welcome and great sense of humor. His positive energy and helpful attitude truly stood out and added to the overall fantastic experience. Thank you for providing such a high-quality space for fitness. I’ll definitely be recommending your gym to others!

I travel a lot and hadn’t used this franchise before. The staff were friendly and super accommodating. I liked the variety of cable machines, cardio, and free weights options. I definitely recommend to anyone looking for a solid workout in a friendly environment!

Very friendly staff at the front, and overall gym culture of keeping the place in good order. Concierge selection of protein and pre workout drinks at a reasonable price is a plus. While many thought the boxing bag iron rack would never be fixed, the ownership made the investment to bring it back. That's rare for small gyms, but it's a testament to their excellence in management.

Great gym with lots of equipment and a non intimidating atmosphere. Worked out twice as a Guest and I definitely will be joining !

Another review for a great trainer Robyn at this excellent gym. For my first class with Robyn, she was warm and friendly and made me feel welcome as a newcomer. I’m impressed with Robyn’s knowledge, skills and enthusiasm. She is passionate and genuinely cares. Her classes are never boring: the music, the workout, her energy, focus and experience motivates me to want to work out more. My family switched to this gym, and I can’t be happier. I used to pay for personal training, I don’t have to do that anyone. The classes are AMAZING. My fav are Pilates and GTX. I absolutely love BettyAnn and Liz, they both are amazing knowledgeable Pilates teachers. They always have amazing energy. Love them. Corey teaches GTX, amazing. Love it! Can’t get over it. Another amazing GTX teacher is StaiSean. I normally see her Sundays, she’s amazing. Very knowledgeable both of them. Jasmine is the girl that normally is at front. She makes you feel super welcome and nice, love her too. Definitely 100% recommend. Sauna would be amazing

Fantastic gym with an incredible team! My husband and I switched to this gym because we are avid pilates practioners and wanted a studio that would allow unlimited pilates but also other classes and this was perfect. The instructors are phenomenal across the board but special shoutouts to Heather, Sarafina and Jane Ann for pilates, pilates fusion and yoga. Would highly recommend this gym. The only addition that would be nice but isn't here is having a hot option in the locker rooms (sauna, infrared sauna or steam) even if it was a small single person one.

I made a reservation for Pilates class and showed up. When I got in the class, I realized it was overbooked because someone brought their guest so couldn't take the reformer which I'm supposed to get one. The instructor asked me to start off from the chair but how awful it is to start off from a chair while everyone is starting from the reformer. Why do I have to start off from a chair even though I have a reservation?? This makes no sense and I don't understand the club guest policy here. Why members have to sacrifice due to someone's guest? This is the awful experience that I've gone through today.

Maggie Bowers is the BEST pilates instructor, not only at this gym but everywhere she teaches. I started to feel like I wasn’t gaining anything from the other instructors there and was about to start looking for a new gym until Maggie joined the team and challenged me with her classes. I always look forward to her class because I know it will be a great workout.

From the moment I walked into the studio, Jeff’s energy, professionalism, and attention to detail stood out in the best way. What makes Jeff so exceptional is his ability to connect with people from all walks of life—he doesn’t care about your gender, nationality, or ethnicity; he cares about you as an individual, your goals, and your journey. During the workout, Jeff’s coaching style was second to none. He was attentive to everyone in the room, providing personalized feedback, encouragement, and modifications when needed. He has this incredible way of motivating you to push past what you think are your limits while making you feel supported and empowered the entire time. He’s not just coaching a class; he’s creating an environment where everyone feels welcome, capable, and ready to give their best. I don’t live in the area—I’m from Virginia—but I visit family here once a quarter, and you can bet that I’ll be back to this Orangetheory location specifically because of Jeff. He made such an impression on me that I’ll also be telling my friends who live in the area about this studio and, more importantly, about Jeff. Owners, if you’re reading this: Jeff is an absolute gem, and you need to give him a big raise. He embodies everything that makes Orangetheory such a special and impactful fitness community. I’ve been going to Orangetheory for about a year now, and it’s honestly one of the best fitness decisions I’ve made. The energy from the team here is unbeatable! The front desk ladies—Valerie and Jackie—are so welcoming and friendly. They always greet you with a smile and make you feel at home the second you walk in. The coaches, Jeff and Cyril, are incredible. They bring so much motivation to every class, and they don’t just push you—they’re really attentive to proper form on the weight room floor. They won’t hesitate to encourage you to go heavier, run faster, or row harder, helping you unlock your best. Thanks to them, I’ve fallen in love with running, and every class feels like I’m training to be the best version of myself. Orangetheory has completely changed my outlook on fitness, and I can’t recommend this gym enough.

Great people at the Ramsey Location help keep you motivated! ALL the coaches take the time to offer advice if you desire. Being a member has helped me to maintain my weight and just feeling better. Lots of smiley sweaty workouts with nice people!

13 months, 268 classes later, and I am still going strong! I love going to my 5:00 am classes. The coaches are great, the music is pumping, and the members are friendly. Joining this studio was the best decision I ever made. You won’t be disappointed!

Awesome place to watch a game! Unbelievable court side seats!!! My wife Sherma Andrews has performed the National Anthem at the school multiple times. The entire staff has been nothing short of fantastic! We are looking forward to going back this year!

Wonderful school fdu my daughter goes there for bachelor degree. What a wonderful basketball 🏀 game against st.peters prep fdu won by 1 point. Great 👍 school.

Really great facility, kind staff and a great track (since that's what I was here for). I'd say it's one of the places you'd want to make sure to run at, at least once. It's unique from some others, it provides easy races but spikes weren't allowed when I went. I'd reccomend if you're a runner looking for a decent indoor track

Standard field house for Farleigh- Dickenson University in Hackensack,N.J. . Indoor track and I think basketball court rapped into one. Went here for the toy soldier and collectible show held here every first Sunday in November. Probably the last one since the founder of the event passed away during the year.

Great atmosphere for women's and men's basketball!!! Come out and support. Parking is available. Tickets are sold at the site.
