Best Gym near Fitchburg, Massachusetts

I’ve been coming to this Crunch location for years, and it’s great for all kinds of workouts. The gym has three main areas: Cardio, Guided Machines, and Free Weights. - Cardio Area: Tons of machines like treadmills, ellipticals, stair masters, and bikes. - Guided Machines: Lots of equipment to target all your muscle groups. - Free Weights: Dumbbells, kettlebells, benches, squat racks, cable machines, and even sleds. There’s a big variety of equipment, so you can always get a solid workout. In the past year, the staff and management changed, and it’s made a big difference. Dana, especially, does a great job building a sense of community. She always greets members and makes everyone feel welcome. The location is also super convenient—right in the Market Basket plaza. You can hit the gym and grab groceries afterward. The only downside is the facilities. The men’s locker room could use some fixes, like replacing broken lockers and improving the air flow, especially near the showers. It would also be nice if the water dispensers had filtered water.

This is an amazing gym. I get everything I need out of it. Great space very clean locations, very convenient location. The staff is beyond kind, especially Dana who always has a smile on her face. Would highly recommend. Great place to start if you’re looking for that New Year’s resolution too

I love crunch! It’s the best chain of gyms I go to one in Florida often. Fitchburg is definitely a diamond in the rough. I actually began my crunch journey from a day pass from Sydney. She is the absolute best and is always so welcoming! I definitely recommend you check this gym out if you are looking for a gym this new years and to check out Sydney as a personal trainer!

Love this gym! I am a long time Crunch-goer and have been to several other locations (those in Worcester). I've been going to this Crunch for just over 6 months now and it is my favorite. The facilities and equipment are extensive and can fit the vast majority of gym/fitness needs. Also the staff (especially the owner!) are very friendly and helpful.

Crunch Fitness is a fantastic place to work out! The gym is always clean and well-maintained, with a great selection of equipment to suit all fitness levels. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and ready to help whenever needed. They also offer a variety of classes led by energetic instructors, making it easy to stay motivated. Whether you’re a beginner or a fitness enthusiast, this center provides an inviting and supportive environment.

Nice but parking issues

Beautiful Sport center... our friend had a volleyball game and we had a good time cheering her up.... Everything looked very nice and clean! :)

New member, and new to the Area as well. No complaints! Great YMCA so far.

I have been off and on and nothing seems to change. I pay for the spa and yet one of the amenities is always shut down but the price remains the same. As you walk through the halls you see empty rooms everywhere. This would be better suited to have a teenage gym rather than adults who get out of work. Have to watch them hang out sitting on all the equipment. There is an Aerobic room. I've seen one class ever and that used to be heavy bags there for people to work out. So that way they don't have to punch A heavy bag pushed away in the corner. And change the spa code. They don't know how to change it. it's been the same punch code for over five years. This will be my last month paying for the spa or pretty much going to the gym at all. It's not worth the treadmill and the machines and weights I use. And don't get me started on the very old Men that just sit in the locker rooms. Da fk?

Ted and Ashley and their whole team have been so amazing to work with. Their communication is so on point.

One of the better Ys I've belonged to. The facilities aren't incredibly modern compared to other gyms, but they are well maintained. The staff and the regulars are very friendly and welcoming, making it really easy to feel like a regular yourself.

Just got back from there, I went to pay my membership. They are suppose to close at 1:30. It was 1:29 and the doors in where locked already. They closed up early. Not wasting my money anymore for lack luster faculties and out of date equpiment.

My favorite gym in the area. I used to go there with some of my friends back when I was younger glad to see it's still up and kicking.

The new renovations are amazing. I am glad to have a gym open 24/7. Employees are great. Shane deserves a promotion. Just give the man a raise.

Absolutely love this gym! It's always very clean and well kept. There's plenty of equipment from free weights to fitness machines and to cardio. Staff is always friendly and willing to answer any questions if asked. Will recommend to anyone who's looking for a great gym!! 10/10

I love both globals but especially love the 24 hour access! It’s smaller than the Leominster gym but they have everything you need and there are usually not many people which means no waiting for machines

answering, when I asked who I would have “fought” you didn’t say anything, and you yourself agreed when I said that I always train alone with my headphones on, I only talk to those who talk to me, your complaint was about the noise, I understood the your point and im trying to be better on this point but when i questioned why you don't make a complaint with other members hitting weights you just ignored me

My family has been with NGE for 10 years now. We have never had a bad experience with NGE or staff! All 4 of my kids go to NGE for various sports trainings, from football, wrestling, cheer, strength and conditioning and speed and agility. We love NGE and strongly recommend them to everyone!

My son has been going to NGE for 3 years now. Coach Bennett has been amazing in training. He is knowledgeable and great with my son. He offers lots of different programs, anyone can benefit NGE.

NGE sports performance has been a positive experience for our son (8 yrs old). His strength and agility has improved, but more than anything, his confidence has gone up. Jim is a genuine and honest person that serves as a good role model for the kids he trains. Half the time the kids don’t realize they are conditioning and/or strength training because he makes it fun. They think they’re just playing a game when they actually are working out. My son never wants to leave! We had to take a break for a little while due to a busy football schedule, and my son has been begging me to go back. We love it there.

My son has had an incredible experience at NGE and their football academy. The coaching staff is fantastic and it’s a great facility as well. He loves going to this gym. He’s developed his strength, conditioning, and skills rapidly there and most importantly built confidence and additional motivation. Highly recommend NGE to all young athletes.

My son has been attending the strength, speed, and agility class multiple times a week at NGE. He enjoys the workouts and I’ve noticed improvement in his technique, strength, and endurance. Each class there are new workouts and challenges. Also, I’ve noticed a huge boost in his confidence. Coach Jim challenges the kids with the understanding that they are working to be their best selfs and put in effort. Such a positive environment! Highly recommend NGE!

Fitchburg Strength and Fitness is not only the absolute best gym in Massachusetts with some of the best equipment but also the very best owners and members. I know because it is owned by family, not just saying it because of being family but instead for the truth. I could not believe one day when I came to see my brother and found how not only were the customers now members but had all said how they become family there. It was so nice to see and hear this from the customers because most places customers are just customers to the owners and employees. Here at Strength and Fitness they not only have competitions, trainings, very supportive of one another in many ways but also have so upgraded their equipment. This gym has something for everyone. Trust me you will not be bored and will want to become like second family to the owners and members alike! Just What I Know As A Matter Of Fact! Give this place a try; you will not be sorry!

This is the best gym in the area

I love this gym, beats the pants off of ANY $10 box gym in the area! So much equipment and friendly, personable owners. If you're trying to get big, or strong, or just in better shape; FS&FG is where you need to sign up.

It's more than just a great gym and a very supportive friendly environment. Every staff there is very polite and respectful. I greatly recommend this gym to anyone that are looking for a great place to challenge the benefit of their overall health and wellness quality.

Great gym and a great culture they have over there! This is an amazing gym where you can push yourself to your greater limits. The place has a very community style culture where everyone gets along and is friendly and at the same time can push you out of your comfort zone in the best of ways without the judgemental looks. I highly recommend this gym to all and they have kick butt classes and trainers as well!!

Energized fitness is a welcoming, kind, and supportive gym/environment! I haven’t met a single staff member that wasn’t super nice and helpful! It doesn’t get crazy in the gym and I never feel like people are watching me workout or feel uncomfortable working out! The classes are amazing and I definitely recommend trying them out. As a person with extreme gym anxiety I 100000% recommend energized fitness it’s the most comfortable gym I’ve ever been at and I’ve tried a lot!

Getting a membership with Energized has been so nice! The staff are so friendly and the gym is always so clean! I’ve personally been working with Andrew and he has definitely made the experience even better! He not only has helped to improve my physical health, but also my mental health and my relationship with food! If you are just starting out on your fitness journey or just want to feel comfortable while working out, definitely give Energized a try and definitely work with Andrew, you won’t regret it!

Let me start by saying that Energized fitness is always clean and organized. Every time I walk in I feel at home. The staff have gone above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and make sure I am working out safely. They don't mind showing me new workouts and always encourage everyone to do the best they can. Their classes are fun, and are worth the cost. I definitely recommend anyone starting their fitness journey to sign up at Energized Fitness.

Nothing but great things to say about this gym. It is fantastic, my home away from home. Gym is always clean and maintained. Staff are incredibly friendly, helpful and always willing to help and share their knowledge. I'm happy to be apart of energized fitness and would recommend to anyone.

Great place

We needed our personal treadmill repaired when the factory warranty only covered parts and not someone to actually do the repair. Luis was great, fast, showed up early, did a great job, super professional and a really nice guy. He went above and beyond, cleaned our whole treadmill and helped us find a better way to lubricate the treadmill. We were very happy and would definitely recommend!

My elliptical was broken so I called Luis and he picked up right away. I explained the problem and said he could be at my house that same night. He showed up on time, diagnosed the problem and ordered the necessary part. Luis called me back within a week to come over and install the part that was delivered. He is very fair and honestly and shows you exactly what the problem is. I will be using him again if something else breaks and I would recommend him to anyone

Very satisfied with their service. Service was very prompt and professional. They did a fantastic job as I have had them service and tune up all the cardio equipment at my gym, Fusion Fitness 24-7 in Leominster. They also can service all my resistance machines as well. Highly recommend them, they are top notch!
