Since the old cleaning crew has left, this is how dirty this gym is. The equipments are so outdated and cranky compare to all other Onelife Fitness. Swimming pool has been closed permanently. The steam room has been so disgusting for so long, no one cares to do anything about it. It is extremely unhealthy not to mention how hot it is. There is no longer a door in between the shower area and locker room which makes it so cold to take a shower and come out. The only good thing about skyline is the stuff and members. Skyline members deserve better!!! Hoping for a face lift in 2025!

This gym is the definition of corporate greed. I’ve been coming here for almost 10 years. It used to be a great gym. The equipment selection and layout is unmatched. It’s really a shame that management could care less about upkeep. I’ve been making the same suggestions and leaving the same feedback on surveys for a few years now. The majority of the equipment needs to replaced. The knurling is rubbed clean off of every single barbell. Stackable boxes don’t stick to one another. Slam balls leak. Turf is disgusting every single pair of power blocks is broken. This gym is so concerned about lining their pockets and gaining new membership that they don’t care to keep the members they currently have happy. At any given time of day, the gym is jam packed. There’s no space to move. They continue to sign people up, ask current members to refer people, but have no resolution to the current limitations in space. There is an upstairs space that hasn’t been utilized since pre covid. Meanwhile, people are setting up to workout on top of each other in the main area. This gym wants to invest nothing in making it a better place. Weekends the gym closes at 7 and 6pm. They are extremely short staffed and don’t enforce any kind of rules for people cleaning up. It is always in shambles. Equipment sprawled out all Over the turf. Barbells left fully loaded on racks. There’s usually only one person closing to clean all that stuff up. There are so many better options in the area that hold their members to a higher standard of cleanliness and general respect. I have another gym membership to make up for the lack of space, lack of hours, and crappy broken equipment. I couldn’t in good faith refer anybody to this gym in its current state.

Simply one of the best functional fitness areas in a gym I’ve seen in this region. Better even than the so-called “signature” clubs like crystal city with a turf field the size of a postage stamp. They also have plenty of functional fitness gear on it like C2 rowers ski ergs pull up bars and jump boxes. Great also is the lifting platforms for Olympic lifts that don’t have racks on them which keeps people from misusing them to do curls squats etc. great selection of classes, with Muay Thai and greater class availability during the day than most clubs. Great place to train

Onelife Fitness Skyline is truly a gem in the world of gyms. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by an atmosphere of energy and motivation. The facility itself is nothing short of amazing, with state-of-the-art equipment that caters to all fitness levels and goals. I have been a member of this sport and health club for more than twenty years. And since the teams are now Onelife Fitness, I want to state how wonderful, helpful and bright the staff are at this facility. I have recommended Onelife to many of my friends and to all of the new neighbors who have moved into my townhouse community. The equipment is top notch and the gym and pool and dressing rooms and ladies room are always clean and sparkling. THANK YOU for a great experience each time I go to the facility.

‼️‼️‼️Warning: Think Twice Before Getting a Membership Here‼️‼️‼️ If you’re considering a membership at this gym (XSport Fitness, now managed by LA Fitness), please read this review carefully. When I joined 12 years ago, this place was well-maintained and enjoyable. Unfortunately, over the years, it has deteriorated to become one of the worst gyms in Northern Virginia. When LA Fitness took over, the front desk staff misled me, claiming the new management would invest heavily in renovations and improvements, promising a transformed gym in just a few months. On their word, I signed up for a 2 year membership, only to discover later that LA Fitness has a terrible reputation nationwide. Under XSport’s management, the gym wasn’t spotless, but at least the equipment was functional. Since LA Fitness took over, the gym has become much worse. Equipment remains broken for months without repair, and this isn’t just at one location, I’ve experienced the same neglect at their Fairfax, Merrifield, and Alexandria branches. The hot tub and pool have been closed indefinitely, and the bathrooms and steam rooms are consistently filthy. Adding to the frustration, the gym is no longer open 24/7. The current hours are inconvenient and impractical, especially for people who work non-traditional schedules. It’s disappointing to see a place that once had potential fall into such disrepair and mismanagement. If you value clean facilities, well-maintained equipment, and transparency from gym management, I strongly advise against getting a membership here. There are better options in the area that will respect your time and money.

Only reason I’m giving it a one star because I have I too this gym is horrible only reason I go to it because it’s close to my house. Everything is broken sauna has been broken for a year now, basketballs are not even basketballs, rims are broken they got duct tape and wires all around the gym, water fountain is broken. Only good thing about this gym was it was open 24/7 but that’s changed too now. Only thing that can help this gym is if it gets permanently shut down also the management is horrible definitely seem uneducated or they couldn’t get any other job so they had to get this one due the lack of their skills in any kind of work. The picture below it’s been like this for months now

Getting worse by the day. This place is like a Petrie dish. Old machines that barely work, have parts missing on almost each one. The treadmills are usually half broken. The water fountain is usually overflowing. The TV’s are never on. The air conditioning stopped working several years ago and they never bothered to fix it. The swimming pool is filthy. They recently removed the paper towels and disinfectant and replaced it with tiny towelettes that are horrible.

Equipments mostly sucks, climbing wall has major life threatening issues, they don’t have proper basketball equipment, massage seats don’t work, overcrowded, AND MORE!! I was hoping things would change after the XSports has been acquired by LAFitness but I was wrong. However, this is what you get for the price so..

The pool, sauna and steam room has been closed for almost 6 months. The bathroom is dirty with trash bins overflown most of the time. The refreshment freezer is always empty. Few cardio machines are always going through maintenance. Feels like for $40 a month, the services and facilities are terrible. I thought with the LA Fitness takeover, this Xsport location would have improved. It's even worse now.

The initial impression wasn't so great due to the faded gym sign and location, but I had a great experience. Gym has the machines I like and mirrors installed where needed. Equipments are organized by muscle groups, and there are a variety of machines from Matrix, Hammer Strength, Cybex, and Life fitness. Has total of 6 step mills. Womens locker area feels cozy and has a private changing area with curtains.

I went to Gold’s Gym today for a trial and ended up signing up for a full membership. On my way out the door, I dropped my wallet in the parking lot. The gyms owner, Jottham helped search the parking lot with me in 30 degree weather. Gym is good, staff is exceptional.

Frequently the gym pushes a single religion on the TV and won't change to news or sports or literally anything else. Instead they force sermons. I would rather have the TV be off than have six screens forcing everyone on cardio to watch this. They should have a policy about this, even if you feel the need to push religion here it should be at least a few to accommodate the customers and not whatever the management feels is what everyone should worship. Rough.

I got my gym membership through golds because of its convenience in locations both to my house and work. They offered me a deal that was just as good as other gyms, so I took them up on it because of that. I was also offered a "personal training session" by the desk worker at the time I signed up, only realizing once he started mumbling prices that it cost more money, so be mindful that the workers here WILL try to soft sell you on extra services. I got him to admit the pricing and declined, but stayed because of the location and convenience. Another reason I stayed at this location was the fact that this specific location listed they had a women's only room, which was pointed out to me by the desk clerk when I signed up. I often feel discomfort working out in an area with men - this isn't to say all men are creeps, I just found over the past few weeks that the women's room was more comfortable, and I could have less pressure this way. Today when I visited, I was surprised to see a man in that area, and after more than a couple creepy interactions, I went to the desk and asked about the room. I was then informed that the room is no longer a women's only room, which is not what the site advertised. If you are looking for a no-frills gym experience, this location is fine, but I've found the location on Ox Road (even without the women's only area) is more spaced out, comfortable temp, and in nicer condition. I will likely be moving my "home" location there after this experience. Don't advertise what you won't enforce.
