Best Gym near Evesham, New-jersey

Thank you LA Fitness, for providing me with the keys to unlock my new self. Let’s go! The best part is that I found the 120 lbs dumbbell, chilling in the cut (tucked away like it was waiting for a rainy day)…. Get over here! I definitely notched a good workout (with my new friend- the antisocial 120 lbs dumbbell). At LA Fitness, the staff is courteous. The equipment and amenities are impressive. Are you waiting for an invitation? Let’s make some gains. I feel accomplished today. I highly recommend that other guests check out the LA Fitness on route 73 (in Marlton, NJ). Machines are well maintained and tools for cable pull machines are always available when needed. Gym is a little small, waiting on equipment when working out in peak hours. Great gym overall.

Came in and Steve offered excellent customer service. The gym is awesome and clean. Highly recommend.

Started going here in January 2023. Good selection of lifting machines and free weights. Half of the cardio machines make noises/clicks when operating or don't have working tvs. If the tvs work, they have different working channels from the machine next to it. Can't you do any better? Lockers are disgusting and all need to be individually cleaned, plenty of body hair left behind indicating they haven't even been vacuumed. They've been the same since I started going. Sauna is broken half of the time, and the other half smells disgusting. Needs to be cleaned more regularly along with rest of locker room. Edit: adding some photos, hopefully the staff handles these complaints that have been filed multiple times. Can we get the tvs working on the machines already? It's a Sunday and not a single channel playing an NFL game is working. Pathetic. Edit 10/29 Tvs still broken. 2/8 stairclimbers do not work at all and have been broken for weeks. 8/8 have non functioning TV's along with half the treadmills and bikes. Get your pathetic gym together. You collect plenty of dues from rich medford mom's. No reason this gym is this busted. Edit 12/8 Somehow a month later the stairclimbers still don't have functioning TV's. The cleanliness of this gym is a problem. The lockers are covered in hair as dirt. They clearly have not been cleaned in months. The sauna and showers are only cleaned once a week, on Friday nights. Oh by the way - the sauna will close early on Fridays for cleaning! Shouldn't that be cleaned.. idk everyday? Along with the showers? And afterhours, when your members and guests are not trying to use facilities? Why is so hard to clean here? Why is so hard to do it after hours? You are making more then enough profits, pay employees to stay late and do the cleaning when you're not interrupting everyone else's workouts. Edit 12/8.. 20 min later I once again expressed my complaints with whoever was running the gym, not the manager, who said they "would let him know." These haven't been dealt with for a year, I've expressed multiple times my core issues. I am changing to a one star as I could tell nothing will ever be done to address any customer complaints. Edit 1/23/2024 This gym is extremely overcrowded. The decision to shut down the somerdale and cherry hill locations and caused a mass influx of members to this gym. If you want a prime example of how to run your business into the ground, look no further than LA Fitness executive leadership. You used to be a decent brand. I will only go here because it has the sauna. I can't wait to switch to lifetime in mt Laurel when they open up memberships again.

Visiting family from out of town. Love this gym very much. Decided to come for the day to try it out. Nick was kind enough to hook us up. Gave us a great tour of the facility, signing up in a few days.

Been a member here for a little over a year. Used to be able to text the owner to get issues resolved. Had to take a medical break for a little while and when I tried to go back, my card doesn’t work anymore. Owner doesn’t respond to Snap email, and doesn’t respond to text messages. Dues have been paid every month and yet I can no longer access the gym. Goodluck if you ever have an issue or have to cancel the membership.

ignore how angry everyone recent is. do i want people crowding my favorite gym? nah. but there are too many bad reviews from randoms with no patience and crazy expectations trying to put this place out of business or something. it’s a great gym and it has the equipment you need. once you join & get that keycard, you’re good to go. just check in about staying paid up, or pay for multiple months in advance, and you’ll have 24/7 access to a secure gym in a safe parking lot with virtually 0 problems. 97% of the people there will never bother you in your life, 2% will give you solid advice or ask, “are you done with this?,” and 1% are your typical annoying people that can be mostly avoided by skipping the obvious peak times. and DUH, it’s going to be crowded at 5pm. i go at dead times and i’m LITERALLY IN HEAVEN!!!! if you leave something, best believe it’s sitting there in the makeshift “lost and found” waiting for you when you come back. that’s the vibe of this place. it’s my little world. i trust it’s an island for plenty of other members too. *****no ad or abductor so bring ankle straps for kickbacks/similar movement. one stairmaster but NEVER EVER have a problem getting it, same for the 4 treadmills. 2 cables, but again, no issues—just avoid peak if you aren’t comfortable switching up your order or waiting 10 mins every now and then (hardly ever).***** my kinda angry opinion in response to some reviews: sure the equipment isn’t sparkly and new, but if that bothers you, you need to take yourself somewhere with desk managers and saunas and tanning beds. it’s a small gym. if you want them to have the money to keep everything SPARKLING and throw everything away the second it shows wear, you would be paying out the wazoo, or you’d be one of one million members and have trouble finding parking in a lot the size of a football field. they maintain what needs maintaining. the hamstring curl was once jammed one night at like 3am, i sucked it up, left, and it was fixed the next day. they fix what needs fixing. love my snap gym.

This gym is not worth the money or headache that comes with starting. PLEASE DO NOT SIGN UP ONLINE AND SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT. The owner/manager seems like a nice guy but he is near impossible to get a hold of and never returns a phone call or email and you cannot access the gym without getting a keycard from him. It would be nice if the number to reach him can be updated on the official website. The equipment selection is decent but a lot of it is worn out, and due to the small size of the gym, it can be hard to get equipment to use such as a bench or squat rack even if it is just half full. The only gimmick that can somewhat justify the price of membership is the 24/7 aspect of it, if you are someone that needs a gym to workout at 3am or 4am or later than 10pm then it is for you. Other than that I would recommend taking your business elsewhere to a location where you get more equipment selection and one that is better kept for the same or even less price as most gyms operate 5am to 10pm. If you do decide to become a member here, the owner is at the gym certain days around 4 o ‘ clock

Been a member for several years. The owner is a good dude who will work with you if you run into any membership or access problems. Some worn equipment would benefit from some TLC but it’s a great facility nonetheless! I recommend.

****Had to come back to edit my review. Got in touch with the owner after a failed online attempt to cancel my membership he heard my out about my complaints then gave me a full refund. I recommend doing everything in person if you can to avoid any perceived bad customer service experience.**** Showed up three different times to get my key to access the gym the owner told me over the phone he was busy and I should make an appointment. Told me he gets in at 4pm I show up at 4:30 expecting to get my key quickly on my way to work he tells me he’s busy again and I should make an appointment. Funnily my bank account got charged for the next month right on time. I have paid for two months have never stepped foot in the gym. DO NOT SIGN UP ONLINE! And he will never be there so don’t bother trying to sign up in person either.

Stretch Lab Marlton was a good experience. I learned a lot about my current abilities and inabilities. I was impressed with the results with just this one visit. My therapist Ralph was fantastic to work with. He listened to my activities and we worked on stretches to assist in my performance and keeping me healthy for those activities. Mark did a fantastic job reviewing my intake questions and explaining how the session would proceed and my options for continuing the program.

Jaime is always informative and interested in seeing me grow. She talks me through every movement which gives me confidence her and builds it in myself! She's been a great help in getting my body stronger and feeling better!!!

Looking forward to my next appointment at StretchLab in Marlton. Henry has been excellent at helping me regain my overall flexibility and providing home stretches to support my StretchLab sessions. Now I am walking with less pain, more active each day and sleeping better. I would advise anyone who wants to improve their health, slow the aging process, improve mobility to schedule an intro session at StretchLab.

Daija did an excellent job of explaining how StretchLab works and getting me started. She explained what she was doing and seeing throughout my whole stretch session. I will definitely be back.

Awesome visit and the staff members are very personable. Nicki was great to work with and gave my many tips that can help to improve my mobility 😀

This place is the real deal. The workouts are fun, challenging, the music is fire, the members have become my friends. The trainers make me feel like I can do anything. But the BEST part of this place is the manager, Anna! She is the nicest, kindest person. The desk can be crazy busy, but she makes you feel like she has all the time in the world for you are important and special. Come in and see for yourself!

My favorite workout I have ever done! Every class is better and better! Love all of the coaches and the way they encourage you to reach your full potential! Every workout is something new but I feel stronger with every week that goes by

Where do I start with AFC Marlton! I’m a mom of three who has been struggling to find a gym that fits into my busy scheduled and most of all a gym where I am comfortable…this place is everything!!! The manager Anna is amazing, her staff is so friendly and the trainers TOP NOTCH, they offer several classes everyday of the week so I have plenty of options when finding a class! The best part, the community, I have made some great friends here who help push me to be at every class and to get through every workout! Best group fitness gym in Marlton area by far!!

Love AlphaFit Marlton! Group setting classes that are led by coaches that motivate and encourage you. All of the exercises are demonstrated before class begins and then the coaches check in throughout class. Love that the classes are all a mix of full body strength and cardio, and not focused on just one specific area.

We love Amerikick!!!! We have been members for almost 2 years and my daughter looks forward to attending her classes each week. The sensei’s are very interactive and supportive with every child to assure you’re getting everything you need out of the class.

I started at Amerikick when it was still American Karate Studio's when I was 13 (now 41 and still a student at Amerikick). My 6 year old daughter following in her Dad's footsteps. She love's her great Sensei's at Amerikick Marlton. My 3 year old son is also a student now. I would highly recommend anyone interested in taking karate to not wait and sign up at Amerikick. Whether it be your child or yourself. It's never too late to start

Amerikick Marlton is an excellent place for learning karate. The instructors focus on building confidence, discipline, and respect while teaching practical techniques. Classes are engaging and structured. The positive environment fosters growth both physically and mentally. Highly recommended for anyone looking to learn karate and develop strong character skills.

From the moment we arrived to get general information to see if it was a fit for them- we knew it was a good environment. The instructors are amazing! Given the class sizes which have increased since my children have been going says a lot! They take the students aside individually for quick side bars for better techniques, while actively engaging and teaching the entire class. It’s been about a month, we go four times per week & it has definitely made a difference so far. I’d highly recommend bringing the whole family. I can’t wait to start kickboxing eventually!

Julian just started coming here this past November and he enjoys going to his classes. I’ve seen a confidence boost in him since he started and I am glad that he has found an activity that he enjoys. Highly recommend!

Great gym. This hidden gem has what you need but more importantly is the atmosphere of community. You are greeted by your first name by the friendly staff. This place is truly fabulous. Awesome trainer in Brandon Barnes, great owner, great people and very affordable. Things you never get at those big corporate gyms.

Such a great gym, they have all the equipment you need and trainers who know what they’re doing. it’s such a welcoming environment and the owner is an angel and helped me get my keys after i locked them in my car. i could go on and on about how great this gym is!

Absolutely amazing, small town feeling gym, wherein the staff is all very personable and extraordinary helpful with anything you may need. Need a spot for a heavier lift/extra reps? There has never been a time I couldn’t get a quick spot from either staff or one of the personal trainers while they have a break(ie in between sessions of different clients).

It's not just a gym, it's a community! The front desk people know every member by name! Get away from the big box gyms & give The Firm a try! You won't regret it!

This gym is a true hidden gem. It's 30$ a month for a basic membership which yeah is a bit more then planet or giant fitness, but absolutely worth the extra 10$ a month cost. Why? Even at peak times, the gym isn't that crowded and any machine or weight you wanna use is usually free. If you go during off times, you might be alone in the gym with like 2-3 other people and have the whole gym to yourself. They have enough free weight and machines for a full body workout. The convenience of just walking in and doing every exercise and walking out is amazing. If you hate crowds and want to do a full body workout at any time of the day, this is the gym to go to.

Small dirty gym, missing equipment!!! Here is a physique update ever since i started going here!!! HORRIBLE

This gym is very different from those big guys you are use too. The owner Shawn gets to know everyone of his guest personally and knows his or her name everytime you come back. The gym may seem small and have a mixture of newer and older equipment, however it's not that age or size of the gym but the people who use the gym and the staff. Everyone here takes great care of the equipment and when done put everything back for the next one to use. Plus if you are working out and want to go back and forth on equipment this is no issue, all the people here share the equipment. This makes everything so easy, plus the owner keeps the place clean and organize. The best part is the trainer Shawn Teske who you can request. If you ask the owner Shawn about him. He is a great trainor which has many years of experience in road racing on bikes and is willing to spend time to help anyone get stronger and become a better cyclist. If you are looking for a great gym and a friendly goup of people this is your place not like those big gyms with the meat heads who show off and leave the equipment all nasty and heavyweights on it.

Equipment is out dated , half of it is damaged and some equipment is even missing. Owner sits in his office room while this is all happening . All he does is play his Xbox and charge people $40 a month for a $5 month gym

A great little gym... has all that you need in a no frills setting. Trainers know their stuff!!
